She was engaging in her constitutionally-guaranteed right to protest and was brutally attacked. Today, a judge ordered the pipeline to be shut down and drained of oil. There has been at least one large spill into the tribe's drinking water. Let's hope that will be the last. Sophia, you played a huge part in this victory and paid dearly for it.

I have questions about the real motive in stopping pipeline construction. Tar sand oil requires $60/barrel to be profitable but the current price is around $40/barrel. So have the corporations quietly begged the courts to help them get out of their bad contracts ?

I have a cousin who was a manager for drilling platforms all over South America and he said that he was ordered to dump the drill waste and oil into the water and on the ground with out regard for the environment. A lot goes on that we aren't allowed to see or know.

We all owe an unpayable debt to the native American peoples, and this decision doesn't even make an advance in that direction, it just establishes the ground zero - at least do NO MORE harm.
