So the crude that is being shipped in the pipeline you hate is refined into products that go into making the wind turbines you celebrate on your property. Polyester, vinyl, polyether ether ketone, polyurethane, polypropylene, polyacrylonitrile, and petroleum pitch are just some of the refined petrochemicals that make up the composition.

There was no inherent safety concern that the nuclear industry was plagued by. The MSRE project presented a safer but less productive type of fission, and since there was no inherent safety consideration at this time, the majority of all funding went into in fast breeder reactors instead of thermal reactor projects like the MSRE.
