I've never had a bad day on the water. Rain shine it doesn't matter. Fishing or just casting. The older I get the more I appreciate it. Great video as always Matt. Thank you.
Looks like an old Ford flathead engine in a truck frame . From the too brief picture. Dune buggies used them back in the day. 50s & 60s trucks and coupes . Didn't hurt them to run hot . Used to ride the dunes at the cross area in Pensacola Beech. Thanks for fishing info . Watching videos from Panama City Beach FL.
Great video Matthew made for a busy day at least you got to take a meal home for the family even if you did lose the better fish due to a screw up it happens pal
Likely an abandoned car from many years ago. At Cape Lookout NC people used to ferry vehicles over and use as home bases to surf fish. Many were abandoned and most were eventually hauled away but occasionally one is discovered after a storm. Sand is washed from around it exposing old frame and wheels. There is one today in the “Hook” that I have seen for 30 years. It is a landmark of sorts.
Don't know how many times I've relearned the lesson of checking your tackle, especially your line & leader, in the salt. These are the things that make it a fair fight.
Happens to us all! Glad you got a decent box of whiting though. Also, should we expect an event for the one year anniversary of the Grand Opening? I’m trying to plan a trip down and it might hinge on that possibility
Way back in the day everyone was allowed to drive on the beach. Somebody didn't wake up in time. Looks like a straight 6 Jeep motor which would make sense
With these Up & Down 😢😮 Water Temps, it's been a kinda Ride 🎢 Or Die ⛈️🌞🥶 type of fishing lately, but hey I'll take the Whiting's all Day,,, Stay Safe God Bless,,
Have a Beach house in St, Augustine for 60 years and you find all kind of things on the Beach. 1 weekend we went there and found a bunch of stuff at our house( on stilts), turns out a travel trailer sunk in front of us and they skuddled it and tried to save stuff under our house. Another time an 80 ft wooden ship beacheaed (minister spreading Bibles) , cars, boats and all sorts of things get beached along the gold coast! (BTW good catch!!!)
I think I’ve said this before but in NC the guys will line the pier to catch spots! They swear it is a great fish, I don’t know I’ve never tried them. Another great video Matt.
I ate my first spot in 1995. It had a unique but good flavor. I was raised on freshwater bream and bass and an occasional restaurant flounder or trout. Structure wise spots are like bream. Easy for me to eat with bones but folks not accustomed to the bones shy away from spot. After about 3000 spots later I tell you that I crave their flavor. The past few years have not been plentiful in NC as are many of the other species. My advice is give the spots a try. They are seasonal at a few restaurants in the Oct, Nov months. If you are ever invited to a spot fry let me know and I will meet you there.
Probably one of my granddads old willeysjeep. He left several thete when we were flounder gigging back in the day. I know that one at moblie street is his old buggy
That's probably somebody's old beach buggy truck. I wouldn't be surprised if it's been buried for years and just got exposed again. Hopefully it'll get hauled out to deeper water and left as a reef or cleaned up off the beach.
It is definitely a Chrysler Flathead inline 6 cylinder. Ford flatheads did not have the indentions for the spark plugs. As to what kind of car or truck it's kind of hard to tell. It clearly has six indentions for spark plugs which eliminates any Jeep because they were 4 cylinders.
Yeah that vehicle has been there a long time it’s just been covered up definitely an old pick up truck ain’t no way it washed up that’s like saying an anchor could wash up not happening that’s my opinion

I only count 6 valves, 3 cylinder ?
@@ronkwiatkowski340 So my friend correct me ? , educate us . What do you think it was ?
I agree its a flathead, just puzzled with the valve count. @@mikemclendon4962

It was still an awesome vid!! Keep fishing and can't wait for new content!!
LOVE WHITING.
Try seasoned flour, egg wash, roll in coconut then deep fry. Yum.

AGREED!
Looks like old Pontiac from 30s to 40s. With that large bumper…straight up gangster car!

Great video thanks for the content
Looks like a 3 cylinder?
Matt, what boots are you wearing and does your store have them?
Definitely an old flat head. Don't think it washed up but was unearthed. Lol. Probably got stuck 60+ years ago.
Fred, that's a heron isn't it?
What size circle hook do you use for whiting and that size fish?
yea matt id take a day on the surf like that any day of the week. how is the progress going on the pier
That was my old 86 toyota celica. does anyone know how much it would cost to get it back to "like new" condition?🤣
What’s the rod you use with the yellow and single foot Guides
مشكور لكن ما هى مقاسات وابعاد الدربيل وهذا الذى معاك ايش موديله وارقامه لو سمحت على شان اطلبه
Looks like a early (40's 50's) jeep drivetrain.
You found my car!!!! 😂
Check it for DNA 😂
Whiting don’t mind dirty water, I catch them in the chocolate milk water of Galveston
It looks like a model a Ford frame
I was guessing an old dune buggy from 60s? Idunno
I think somebody rolled that chases there and took the wheels off.
Clearly SpongeBobs car. Washed up from Bikini Bottom.
Whatever it is it's rear wheel drive, wonder if it was someone's fishing structure?
I'm thinking old jeep...perhaps old military jeep...
its a jeep?
Where is that
that looks like a ww2 era jeep

Ad more confusion from me looks like my old military jeep 40s

@CIick0nProfiIe blow me scammer!
man if would please give a mention to Kale a winnsboro high school student that died after weight in at a school torment
❤
It's a beach buggy... obviously..
First🎉
It was probably lost during a storm at least a year ago and was mostly buried until recently. It’ll likely get buried again very soon.
Looks like a rusted car to me 😂😂
no girls no fun :)
Charter Fisherman in the past have dropped vehicles in the Gulf for artificial reefs
Yeah that vehicle has been there a long time it’s just been covered up definitely an old pick up truck ain’t no way it washed up that’s like saying an anchor could wash up not happening that’s my opinion
Do you not throw Fred a bone every now and then????
First like
We have a Fred here, eating up a majority of our catfish.
