Personally, I think he should forget about lic, at least at first. His Moon Shot is awesome, and I bet he'd have no trouble designing other originals. Getting a mass manufacturer online would be my priority, then the game lic holders. Beautiful piece, and it looks like a great value to price.
Right!? I couldn’t believe how creative this was and just how well it worked! This guy is crazy talented and definitely wayyyy smarter than I’ll ever be 😆
Wow, these little bad boys look incredible! I like that he's got an all mechanical solution to how the flippers and other features work with no USB interface. Hope he manages to get the licenses he's after.
Very cool concept. As both a Switch and Twilight Zone pinball owner, this machine seems like a home run. Well done and can't wait to see the evolution.
This product feature earned you an IMMEDIATE subscription and like from me.... The fact that you had the forethought to showcase something so beautifully designed made me an IMMEDIATE FAN! Thank you for bringing this to switch owners attention and giving the creator some ad attention as he obviously designed this with immense love, creativity, and quality. If he can figure out a way to lighten that price up a bit, I have no dought he will sell a million of these things... Get this unit under a 100 bucks and they will fly off the shelves. Little advise, while o do love the packaging I'm pretty sure it's costly and the #1 way to cut costs a.d not compromise product quality ..
I just can't stop watching this. Killer review as always. I love the design and the thought put into it. I would only add one thing. It could use another hole on the side to charge the switch once it is inside the pinball. I have a secondary switch that I would like to leave as a dedicated mini pinball with this add on for my desk and that would be perfect to just charge it and never undock it.
This is amazing! If we had a switch we’d totally get one. I love the packaging so much! Also looks like a better original theme then other larger companies have put out recently 😂
It looks brilliant, only issue I can see is having to remove the switch/joycons to charge them. They could use an xinput/switch encoder with a USB-C splitter to allow charging, but packaging might be an issue.
Omg this is brilliant! I want the twighlight zone one. The topper the lights it looks amazing! I hope one of those companies gets in touch with him because this is such a great idea. I’m buying one,. Lights for me all day on anything, I’m sold!
always wanted a fullsized setup to activate a ps4/5 controller this way. just like correct height/button layout kiosk or something i could setup in front of my tv
I like how it uses the joycons since it gets the rumble. I’ve seen the full size button versions but this is really cool. I know they are going after that numskull scale replica market but I’d like a stripped down all black just for the joycon button routing mechanism.
SOLD OUT!? Nooooo... There is a market for such a well thought out product. I would love to see some licensed classic titles in the future. Even some of the newer Zen Studios tables from the likes featured on pinball M. Thank you for getting the word out; keep us posted on any updates!
Awesome! I actually designed a 3d printed one with full sized buttons that I put on thingiverse but this looks amazing with all the lights and everything! It's cool that it works with Joycons too. My design required usb encoders. I love it!
Yeah I thought this design was super clever with how it incorporated all mechanical features, was definitely the first time I’ve ever seen something like that attempted. Especially at such a small scale.
LOVE this! Very clever mechanical solution. Looks great! While the Steam Deck is a bit too big for this, it would be cool to see something similar for PC handhelds like the Steam Deck, Rog Ally, etc.
WOW, these are way cool and if I had the funds I would sure look in to getting one if for nothing else but the creativity of the design. I'll for sure bookmark the website to keep an eye on future products or possible licensing as this really is a next level product, as was the packaging.
I’m really hoping he can get in touch with the licensors for some of the great pinball titles. He’s clearly got the talent to create an amazing product, and I know loads of people would be on board with buying mini versions of some of their favorite pinball games.
@@cooltoy Sadly, I've seen this type of situation to many times in the past, and unless the licensing holder is truly a fan or a suit that doesn't have a stick where the sun don't shine, these never go anywhere. Often these fan projects make them look bad, or they don't see the money to be made once they have to cut the creator in on the profits. I'll keep me fingers crossed, as this product for sure deserves a wider audience, but at the same time, I won't be holding my breath.
Yeah I know he’s reached out to the licensing owners of those Classic Bally/Williams games to see about making a deal with them so that he could sell units with that branding on them. But unfortunately he hasn’t got a reply from them on his inquiries. Which is a shame, because seeing how amazing the work was on this Twilight Zone machine was, I’d love to see how well he handled other awesome classics like Addams Family, Attack From Mars, Medieval Madness etc..
@@cooltoy I have no idea how difficult it is to acquire a license, but yes, it would be amazing to be able to purchase these little things and have them be “official”. Here’s hoping he can 🤞
Sorry for all the questions, Doug,, so it looks like you have to take the switch out to switch games and start the game and then slide it in since there’s no access to the actual buttons???
What I’ve been doing is starting pinball fx on my switch in handheld mode, and then taking my joy cons off, placing them in the machine and then sliding the screen in, then it’s ready to play. When you are done playing, you can then press the home button and select another pinball game you might have downloaded, but in reality the zen studios stuff is pretty much the only ones worth playing like this due to their more robust controls and camera view settings.
@@cooltoy thank you ,, FX 3 , you can have two controllers hooked up at once , so you could use a different controller to select games and not have to take it out at all
I just bought an Adam’s Family Pinball machine 100% working here in Ohio yesterday for $4200 I feel it was a once in a lifetime deal these days I’m very happy and thought I’d never own one!
Wow! Back when I was collecting in the early 00s, Addams was 2500 all day in nice condition. It's kind of disheartening that pins have gone so high; I'd love to get back into it.
Unless I missed it, you didn't show how the switch fits inside of it. Also, why is it while you're playing, the "Please Wait" button keeps flashing on the screen?
The switch screen just slides in place where the display screen slid out. As far as why it keeps saying "please wait" repeatedly you would have to ask Zen Studios that question, it's their game and software, I'm just playing it as it is after I downloaded it.
Hello folks, Im VERY late in coming to the digital pinball world, I have Arcade 1up Star Wars , I am a novice when it comes to electronics could I install a smaller monitor than 32", also if I do would I need a video card? You’d only need a video card if you are replacing the stock PCB with a computer to run digital pinball games from. No sound card necessary unless you want to add surround sound feedback by adding additional speakers
He wants to, just needs the people that own the license to communicate back to him. I know he has reached out a few times to try and set up a deal but they haven't responded.
yes, that's one of the many settings options that you can choose to toggle on and off within Pinball FX game software. I just used the default settings in the video.

The Ghostbusters artwork that’s on the Sten Pinball machines is fantastic! I’d love to see one of these mini pinball machines made to look like that machine for sure.
It’s for the original and OLED switch models. He only made a small initial batch of units to sell as he was just launching his website this weekend and wasn’t sure how well the product would be received. He will be making more machines to sell no worries

CoolToy, WOW! This is one AMAZING product! Do you know if this houses the original Switch, or the new OLED model? If this worked with the OLED, I'd buy an OLED Switch just for this specific purpose! If the ones who own Williams Tables aren't interested, has he thought about reaching out to Stern? A Godzilla would look great, or any number of their tables. Or how about the guys who brought out Labyrinth Pinball? And how about that Labyrinth topper? So many possibilities! This is something I'm going to need to keep an eye on. With the attention to detail, functionality, and very little assembly, I'm not interested in Sharpin any longer. Sharpin's not bad, but this thing is a work of art! vgv
@videogamevegas Yep it works with the original and OLED switch versions. Switch Lite isn't compatible since the controls aren't removable. Stern would definitely be a great alternative if the Williams licensing people don't want to ever respond. They have so many great looking tables that I would love to have as display pieces since I can't afford many of their full sized counterparts. Great suggestion!
Just noticed the creator of this mini Vpin made the same mistake Tulsa Arcade made with their Switch mini pin. The Switch’s top is to the Left. This means Pinball Arcade and Stern Pinball Arcade won’t work with this. Unless you can place your Switch in either direction.
