Biodiversity Net Gain and Environmental Update

Our seminar on 19 March 2024 focused primarily on biodiversity net gain, following its implementation on 12 February 2024, with David Myers and Alex Watts who provided legal and commercial insight into how the market is working in practice.
Dr. Rob Stoneman shared examples of The Wildlife Trusts’ national work on green finance and large-scale habitat creation offering permanent gains in biodiversity, and Toby Perkins MP, set out Labour’s vision for the environment, and discussed the current issues in the sector, including biodiversity net gain.
