I'll be honest, I got a little confident about two days ago and twisted my ankle, but I've had a blast longboarding and picking it back up after I broke my knee the last time. Since I started again, I've taught two friends how to longboard as well, and it's been awesome having a hobby with friends to do!
I was skating for the third or fourth time a few days ago and ate it on some uneven sidewalk, so you’re not alone. XD I busted open my hand and elbow (pretty minorly).. my safety pads arrived in the mail the following day. 😂☠️
I have been skating for like 2 weeks now and have ate shit down hills twice, broke the tip of one of my fingers and sprained my thumb, and scraped my knees multiple times, and still can't wait to do it again lol
Way cooler than sitting, chatting, & doing nothing.
Haha right? But sometimes that’s all I do 😂😂

My son and me started boarding late summer this year, we love it. We use them for transport for fun at every opportunity. I was a blader back in the 90s-2000s so my ballance on wheels was pretty good, but my son was fresh to it all and has made good progress.
Practice lots and get some nice carving going on, its so enjoyable 😉

My long board just came in today!! I was so nervous about trying out tomorrow for the first time I bought a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads... everything! But seeing how you kinda got the hang of it kinda quick makes me hopeful that it won’t be that bad haha.

I longboarded a few years ago, and i wanna get back into it since its getting nice outside again and i bought a 60 dollar longboard (last one i had was cheap from walmart) and i started practicing a little today but am gonna practice alot tomorrow at my grandmas cause she has smooth roads but i dont, they are really rough :-)
I dont have a helmet or anything tho so lets hope i don't die :D

Just a tip so you don't have to bend down is to kick down on the tail of the board to pick it up

Just bend your knees if you're too scared to push. Learn how to safety roll. And practice how to balance your weight with your front foot, it will help you to learn how to push multiple times. Or better, try getting used to both regular and goofy stance. And try putting griptape on your board.

Skating sounds like skate park. Longboarding dosent make you a skater. I don’t skate but I longboard and it just sounds so weird when people say they’re a skater when they just cruising around
