This what I called the old school way. I was curling my ends this way since the 90's. I think this way looks so much better than adding freetress hair. Freetress get tangled and starts looking a mess.

debra davis Thanks We used two packs of xpression braiding hair, the curls will last as long as you want them to. Just make sure to wrap a scarf around the hair before bed

Id just use some cheap wet and wavy hair . that freetress was a mess .

Love the curl pattern how long did you keep the perm rods in?
You dip it in hot water to set the curl so you can take the rod out after it cools.
How long does the curl stay and if wash are they less curled

Yes, the curls will last a long time if you use hot boiled water and careful with the hot water if you are doing it yourself.

Wrap a thin piece around to make a complete circle then put the end through the circle and pull. Hope that makes sense
