Bluder doesn't really get enough credit. She isn't a loud character like Mulkey so she seems to fly more under the radar of the national press. But she's been running a highly competitive program for more than 20 years at Iowa, constantly bringing teams much further than the talent level of the individual players. She's likely the reason Clark decides to stay and play for her home state in the first place. And the reason Clark has a team around that can answer the call at these highest levels of competition.

that one image with 3 LSU defenders locked on CC and no one watching the breaker says it all. Andraya, you're a jewel as an analyst pointing out the contributions of the other Iowa players is spot on. Keep up the good work.
@johnmac Thank you. I didn't notice that LSU left the court until somebody pointed that out to me. I would have thought there would have been someone in the group that would have insisted they stayed for the National Anthem. That greatly reduced my opinion of LSU, but I blame Mulkey for not insisting they stay and stand. I would have been ashamed of Iowa if they would have done that.
I went to bed and dreamed of nothing but 3's raining through the hoops last night. Clark had 41 points and 12 assists. Everyone on the team contributed in a huge way.
What was impressive to me was Caitlin's passing. With all that scoring she does, she is just as unselfish. Several times she could have pulled up, but found an easier opportunity for a score by passing. Great game by both teams. Also stop dragging HVL, my girl was sick (not saying it would have changed anything).
@bertha Lisa Bluder appreciates great passing even more than scoring. When Caitlin makes a cross court pass, you want to be ready for it because it will be coming in hard.

She wouldn't get a shot off in the NBA. Give me a break. Oh, she has the weight of the world on her shoulders? Really? Good athletes want the ball, period. The weight of the world is on the homeless, war torn people. Not Clark!
I love that Caitlin could easily ball hog it, but a lot of the time she pulls over doubleteams onto her and finds the open player. Just a great all-around player and so fun to watch.
Angels ankle sprain had nothing to do with 41 points being dumped on LSU like rain. Race has nothing to do with those who dislike Angel. It was the taunting and her other acts of disrespect.
I can tell you never played high level basketball. Taunting is a part of the game when your a competitor. Don't tell me you've ever been a fan of Kobe 😂
Some of the most beloved players of all time were notorious taunters. Gary Payton, KG. Reggie Miller doing the choking symbol is one of the most iconic moments in basketball history. It’s part of the game.
Let’s hope Caitlin can “take it the house” . I truly coined that phrase many many years ago and most people don’t know what it means. I truly dud because I challenge anyone to explain how their interpretation was. We had a dairy farm outside San Antonio and our house was about 150 yards from the dairy barn. When we were done milking and cleaning up. I’d always say…..”let’s take it to the house”.

Totally agree, great game! One note I would like to make is Sydney and Kate stepped up, but they always step up. The way Iowa plays people in multiple positions can make those in season numbers deceptive. It’s also important to note that Molly Davis started, and therefore their offensive numbers , and strategy based on opponent were different and ebbed and flowed in a way that can make the numbers deceptive. Especially with Sydney who was their go to on the bench, but didn’t have the minutes to be getting the numbers she is now. Both Sydney and Kate are strong defenders, get rebounds , take hard fouls , and do the hard work behind the scenes that don’t get the attention they deserve. I think Sydney got one of her first double doubles in the Big 10 game and she wasn’t even mentioned in any reviews of that game. So I’m not disagreeing with anything said here, I totally agree this was a great game for everyone on Iowa. They used three different post players as well and I think that was a good strategy to manage foul trouble and keep Angel responding to different styles of play. I think it’s important though to highlight that behind the scenes , blue collar basketball makes those giant shots and killer passes possible.
UCONN vs Iowa in the Final Four match will be a legendary battle between Caitlin and Paige. I want to see Clark win her first ring but I also want to see Geno win his 12th title (maybe get his revenge on SC).
Everyone loves a winner. If LSU had won, they'd be talking about Caitlin's turnovers in the first half and her lack of attention in letting the 5 second clock run out in the inbounds pass situation. If LSU had won, they'd be talking about Reese's 20 rebound performance on a gimpy leg. If LSU had won, they'd be talking about the layup opportunities blown several times by players on the receiving end of Caitlin's pinpoint passes. But that didn't turn out to be the storyline simply because the Iowa Hawkeyes won.
@@wade2ndboy Not living there now, but either one and I’m fine. I would like Caitlin to have a championship, UConn men and women have so many, I think they are still the only University to have men and women win it all the same year! Maybe this year too. Crazy.
@zikemdg I feel that, but every UCONN great has at least one championship. We have no bench as is but we are losing a bunch of upper classmen this year. Paige best shot might be now
Serious question...whats up with the one legging that angel reese has? I know aja wilson wears the same thing. Is it like a shooting sleeve but for your leg?
Probably a compression sleeve to help with circulation and preventing cramps. I’m guessing Reese has some nagging injuries on that leg and that would help manage the pain
I'm starting to think that CC change the game for college. If you are a 5 star recruit and you go to a school with a bunch of 5 star recruit. I believe that the championship you win shouldn't be so highly praised . CC might be able to do it with zero 5 star recruit playing with her
The bracket selection committee denied is this game as the title game it should have been. Instead, they greased the skids for SC to get to the final. This was one of the best games I've seen this year, in spite of the selection committee that has managed to sweep most of the talented teams out of SC's way before the championship final.
They wanted to give Iowa a more competitive road for more viewership the entire tournament. They’re basically getting 3 championship games this way (if Iowa wins the next game anyways). Plus there really isn’t anyone other than Iowa that could take down SC anyways… I’m not sure Iowa can do it again, but if they play like they did last night, they got a shot.
@@satidogLSU lost the last 16 games against SC. Think we can predict where that would have gone. If they had lsu & sc play in same region they wouldn’t have gotten their Clark vs Reese media frenzy.

Respect to Clark…dope player.
But Reese & Clark BOTH changed women basketball.
@@TheGod711 Valid. There is a ton of talent with personalities to match right now in NCAAW (Caitlin, Reese, Juju, Paige etc.). I think Reese and Caitlin both helped raise each other up (Bird/Magic vibes), but the attention that Caitlin brings and her play is just crazy compared to anyone else.
With the first pick of the draft, the Detroit Pistons select...Caitlin Clark!
She wouldn't get a shot off in the NBA. Give me a break. Oh, she has the weight of the world on her shoulders? Really? Good athletes want the ball, period. The weight of the world is on the homeless, war torn people. Not Clark!
Clark is good…YES. BUT NBA good…NO.
Caitlin did her thing last night and Iowa did a good job of out coaching LSU.
Its crazy what Clark has done for the womens game! Its an exciting time for Women's basketball for sure.......
I love that Caitlin could easily ball hog it, but a lot of the time she pulls over doubleteams onto her and finds the open player. Just a great all-around player and so fun to watch.
No ball hog, her assists are a statement to that.
She makes everyone on her team, play better ! Well done, Iowa.!
The last triple Clark took with about 2 minutes left she was in full Roy McAvoy mode... "I was playing to win"
ESPN keep this energy next year for women hoops. We don't have 22 again but we will have stars in this sport.
Were witness history ppl Remember the name Caitlin Clark once in a lifetime generational talent never seen anything like it before
I like how ESPN didn’t even even mention that LSU didn’t stand for the national anthem
They were in the locker room, how do you know what they did or didn’t do? Why do you wake up looking to be offended
Of course they didn't. ESPN is a woke liberal station. They have been for years. It's why I don't watch sportscenter anymore. Bunch of snowflakes
@zacole187 Most would have taken A knee.
Angels ankle sprain had nothing to do with 41 points being dumped on LSU like rain.
Race has nothing to do with those who dislike Angel. It was the taunting and her other acts of disrespect.
Yeah okay
🎯💯💯my guy. Maybe she takes those fly swatter eye lashes off she could actually play better
@@Dolemite19 Racism is in disguise here!
Wow, wonderful game.
Let’s hope Caitlin can “take it the house”
I will not challenge you...I get the drift 😀!
Excellent Game. 💯
Man i love Angel Reese .. she really played her heart out last night ppl going hate regardless but Angel and Caitlin are the real reason Women’s basketball is back.
Yeah, I'm an Iowa fan but I think Angel is awesome. I wish more of the fans would emulate the players.
Glad Reese got humbled

@@thegraffitiplayground1325you do know a lost doesn’t take away the fact she is a National Champion, Double Double Queen, breaking college records right?
Caitlin Clark is very underrated and she have no weakness to her game at all. She will have bright future ahead of her!!
Underrated?? How? Everyone gives her the flowers she deserves lol
If she occasionally comes to a jump stop and takes that 8 to 12 footer when there's a big at the rim, it's over. Okay, it's almost over lol.
People say she can’t play defense. Those people are wrong. She’s the best all around player right now.
Her mid game is weak and she took some bad shots.
@@tonyg76facts. I was looking to see if someone was gonna say it. She rarely pulls up from mid range and often steps back if she goes over the 3 point line.
Hey, I'm from the west suburbs of Chicago and I have pick-up basketball with the best ( you name them) I watch - C C , play yesterday here in Tucson,Az - She is entertaining - GO- C C . from Sam Hampton LaGrange,Ill.
LSU fan 💛💜. It was a great game! Not making excuses but after Reese ankle, LSU didn’t have a chance. Clark showed out!
We knew espn would quickly mention the ankle injury.
Hate it or love it…Reese was balling until the ankle injury. LSU FAN 💜💛. Congrats Iowa
Clark! Hands down the GOAT in Womens Basketball
Haha " Angel Rees wasn't quite the same, no we're not making excuses..." Yes you are. LSU was outplayed and outclass from start to finish.
Van lith running in circles confuse 😂😂
Outstanding performance by CC. But they got Bueckers next...a Caitlin Clark with size if you will.
Caitlin Got That Big Girl They Had Last Season Drafted.. She’s The Truth..
That Is the case in every game.
HVL has had some rough games vs CC going back. Good thing they’re friends, or I’d have to say it was personal like Larry Bird type behavior 🤣
man she's crazy wonderful performance
Clark vs Page next round will be a classic
She's the reason I'm following women's ball more than the NBA this year. Crazy.
"clark scored or assisted on 67 of Iowas 94 points" ..wow
I guess this is the equivalent of a In-Season Tournament Championship for Caitlin 😂
No, it was just another game where she beat a bunch of arrogant trash
@@StephenNatoli-l6jcome on man not a bunch just angel
#22 is a monster.
Do that dance Reese 😂😂😂
"We're not making excuses" 😂😂😂😂
I’m from CT and a UCONN fan, but Caitlin got me….
You'll wake back up soon
@@wade2ndboy Not living there now, but either one and I’m fine. I would like Caitlin to have a championship, UConn men and women have so many, I think they are still the only University to have men and women win it all the same year! Maybe this year too. Crazy.
@zikemdg I feel that, but every UCONN great has at least one championship. We have no bench as is but we are losing a bunch of upper classmen this year. Paige best shot might be now
@3:07 coach is too cute .she has a obvious sourhern charm about her
That man can shoot the basketball
I love Andraya...more please!
She is so much fun too watch! Best of luck in the final four.
#44 started to get physical and thats when Iowa and CC turned it up!!!!
@@Ghostreader198 makes perfect sense. Didn't even think of that
Class act all the way
I'm starting to think that CC change the game for college. If you are a 5 star recruit and you go to a school with a bunch of 5 star recruit. I believe that the championship you win shouldn't be so highly praised . CC might be able to do it with zero 5 star recruit playing with her
I know South Carolina may be the "best team" but I don't know if I've seen a game this year, better than this.
Yeah, I would have liked to see LSU face SC in the final four this year. Iowa having to go through LSU and UConn to get to SC is freaking brutal.
@@satidogLSU lost the last 16 games against SC. Think we can predict where that would have gone.
If they had lsu & sc play in same region they wouldn’t have gotten their Clark vs Reese media frenzy.
She may be the 2nd most important basketball player to ever live.
If anyone is gonna have a chance against Clark they’re gonna have to double her from half court and full court pressure her. Get the ball out of her hands. You can live with the rest of the team beating you or not💯
