Olly’s Farm don’t put grease on the hook fill wear it’s worn down with weld it’s a common fix and not even noticeable if you ground it down right afterwards
I was a dairy Farmer back in the day. Everything had a clutch. These new tractors I'd be lost in. Love your channel because your a farmer. God bless you for what you do!!
Thanks Olly for a great and simple demo of how to drive a John Deere, it's so much simpler than I imagined and once on the road, it handles so light. One thing I didn't see you showing us is how to reverse it
Olly even tho this was a year ago, when you wanna come to a complete stop or suddenly stop when a car is coming round the corner you dont slamm the breaks or you'll stall it, you do clutch and break. Clutch stops your flywheel so you can break without stalling it
great channel very well explained tractor tour i farm in wales currently with two same dorado tractors one with loader and a mf 35 and a175 plus an international b275 bought new in 1961 which is going on a charity run tommorow keep up the good work
Your energetic and ethustiastic, and drive a John Deere! You already know im hitting that subscribe button! Although i didnt really like that flip off at 2:51
Man you guys have great tractors over there, our tractors here in the US are put to shame by these style tractors. The front hydrolic lift and pto, IVT factory, and good wide tires. Only think that I think we have that makes life a bit easier is the quick attach 3 point.
Forget grease, wrap some amalgamating tape around it, pulling it very tight as you wrap this will do a couple of things, firstly it will bridge the gap and basically make the linkage wider, so it will be back to original diameter, and secondly as a bonus, it will stop Any rattle, vibration through the linkage while in transit. Do this and I promise you will thank me. Love the vids dude
I learned that in order to start a tractor you need to push and hold the clutch pedal while turning the keys. Is that just recommended and not needed, or does it just vary from model to model? (I learned on a Valtra)
My uncle has a john deere 6930 premium with powerquad trans front linkage and pto and also a fel. It has a 50k gearbox. Has done over 14000 hours of hard work on implements designed for higher horsepower. He has had very little problems with it and has only replaced the turbo and a few burst hydraulic hoses
Olly the John Deere is 9 years old and I think you should get a Fent or Massey but ou are a huge inspiration to every one and you make day so keep up the good work and I love the new running intro but I hope you can take on the Ollys farm numbers on the deer and this video was very good Bye
In South Dakota we use small tractors like that for cutting the grass on the Interstate highways. All the farm tractors we use are much larger. Im sure for England this is considered a very big tractor.?
I've always wanted to go into farming but not having any family farm over time it has become out of the picture, currently looking to follow in my dads foot steps and head into agronomy. Have you always planned/wanted to remain working on the farm / what would you like to be doing if you hadn't gone into the family farm? - also did you go to sixth form and uni?
Hi olly from olly s farm it's me Gerry Kelleher from cork Ireland again what new tractor would you pick for the john deer to be replast I think it should be the fent
can you do a vid on how to drive the 135, i`m curious about that because i have a 1952 te-20 i`m going to fix and sell on. and it would have been nice if you could show how to operate the 135 so we could se how to operate a tractor of that generation
I can tell you some of models i like the one that just has an hand throttle. Check if the engine stop is push in. Then all in neutral. Then foot on clutch then turn key she should start then put her in high range then out revs up then put in gear let off clutch slowly.
i think the 6930 would be a dream to drive for me. my dad have a 2003 Lamborghini premium 1050, it has got something like 72+72 gears. the 1050 is not a bad tractor but it`s a lot harder than a JD with autopower. however the 1050 broke down last year, and we can`t afford the cost of a new gearbox and a clutch. so he`s selling it and i`m most likely going to learn most of driving a tractor the old way in a 1980`s tractor without synchromesh.
Hand throttle is very useful for PTO work that requires a constant engine speed. You can still use the foot throttle to increase the revs - the hand throttle sets the minimum speed
Hope you enjoyed the video guys! Does anyone know where I can find a matching warning sticker for the mudguards? 🤷♂️
Hi Olly, You could probably get one from your local John Deere dealer or get one online
Try agriline they supply most of the makes models and parts from paint windows to mirrors and lights
Hi Olly, any chance could make a phone case for Samsung?
Olly’s Farm don’t put grease on the hook fill wear it’s worn down with weld it’s a common fix and not even noticeable if you ground it down right afterwards

The same but backwards
The camera was a bit moved down so we couldn't see much of the road! BUT very good vid!!
I'm an HGV Driver, after watching that video I wouldn't mind having a go at a bit of tractor driving in real life. Looks fun.
Wow! thank you so much! i got myself a farm work today but im starting tomorrow. i feel now i'm ready for that John Deere waiting for me!
I dont think you understand how much this helps! This is awesome!!!!
Olly even tho this was a year ago, when you wanna come to a complete stop or suddenly stop when a car is coming round the corner you dont slamm the breaks or you'll stall it, you do clutch and break. Clutch stops your flywheel so you can break without stalling it
Can you please do a whole farm and machinery tour including facts like how much acres of land you farm and stuff like that
Thanks
Him:I don’t know why it does 55 instead of 50
Meanwhile: a random person is screwing it out
Great video as allways olly keep up the good work. Why do people dislike the video and judge farming when that's were the food comes from .
great channel very well explained tractor tour i farm in wales currently with two same dorado tractors one with loader and a mf 35 and a175 plus an international b275 bought new in 1961 which is going on a charity run tommorow keep up the good work
Really nice she looks great after the clean yesterday
your driving skills take the cake in a good way
I’ve known how to drive that tractor since I was 11 I’m 13 now
Great vid
Your energetic and ethustiastic, and drive a John Deere! You already know im hitting that subscribe button! Although i didnt really like that flip off at 2:51
It probably was a accident
That intro made me smile :)
hi olly,
love the vids they really encourage me to be a farmer but can't find any farms near me to do work experience at.
Just play fortnite for a living
Love the vids Olly keep it up, 50k will come soon🚜
Here I am with my 1948 ferguson
Ah. Pedal mode,my favourite way to drive a tractor. Or a telehandler for that fact.
LOVE a good old Hydrostatic anyday!!
You can find all of the plastic bits and stickers in the normal parts catalogue and order them from your JD dealer like any other part
Great video Olly. I just love tractors, especially John Deere. And guess what.... I'm not even a farmer lol. I would love to work on a farm though.
can you imagine seeing a tractor at the mall parking lot 😂
In Ireland its usual lad
Lee DB Scotland too
Aye
Lee DB yep in Ireland
Well, here it is normal to see people(around 15-16) coming to school with a tractor
I like a john deere premium series👍
Do you do any more on the John Deere as I have a 6130 and need to know how to haul a ten ton trailer and use rear impliments, hedge trimmer etc.

We have a 6630 premium autopower and we rented an identical 6930 premium with auto power and it is a really nice tractor to drive. Love from Sweden
Very nice! I love Sweden, visited a few farms out there when I was younger near Gothenburg!
I was just thinking last night i wish i knew how to drive a tractor. Thanks olly! (ollysfarmers is an official term now haha)
number 4, tysm olly!
6930 premium.. favourite and dream tractor
I hope soon my family will get a tractor. its only going to be a 40 to 60 bhp. but its going to be cool
I wasn't originally a farmer but the first proper two tractors I've learned to drive was a 1983 or 1985 case international and a fiat 110-90
I learned that in order to start a tractor you need to push and hold the clutch pedal while turning the keys. Is that just recommended and not needed, or does it just vary from model to model? (I learned on a Valtra)
Who doesn’t like the 7810 and like the 6910 and that series of John Deere
Could you do another video like this but with the 135
This is the exact same tractor that my friend's farm has. It was the first john deere i ever drove

I would really like to see these kind of videos on the other vehicles that you're using/borrowing.
Can you test drive a new holland
Try a T6080 tractor

Must say we have similar tastes in tractors, my all time favorites are deere 6430 and 6930, 7810 and a massey 35
My right ear enjoyed this.
Olly please do a video on how to drive a case tractor and if you can please make another one on how to drive a same tractor
Just a wonderful vid I have the exactly the same tractor John Deere

In South Dakota we use small tractors like that for cutting the grass on the Interstate highways. All the farm tractors we use are much larger. Im sure for England this is considered a very big tractor.?
Nice Tractor Ride 🚜
What tractor did you have before this one
Thx olly you da best love your vids I'm now going to ask my uncle can I drive his tractor again thx
Brilliant video Olly what emergency situations would you need to use the clutch?
ronnieron88 to stop, using the clutch is a must do or u might damage the transmission and other drive parts
I am a farmer and tractors are easy to drive even for beginners
What a great video again olly quick question do u still have the geses that used to be in the cow shed the birds ? sorry about the spelling
How do you know the speed of the tractor by the front hub? Are 50k bigger.
Hi olly from olly s farm it's me Gerry Kelleher from cork Ireland again what new tractor would you pick for the john deer to be replast I think it should be the fent
Olly this video is so helpful

My grandad had the exact same tractor the mint 6930 same transmission I have drove it before but just refeshing ready for spring 😂😂😂
Nice drive Kelly's , keep up the good work ,I do enjoy the video
So what is the clutch for
Make a video on how to drive an old tractor, I think it's harder.
Sound mint that straight 6!
Do you live up near sedgeford in north Norfolk along the peddars way?
Olly I admit I'm biased towards John Deere, Case IH and New Holland but John Deere is 110% the best!
Lol I always use my clutch when turning on the headland when I put it in reverse to let it go more smoothly.
Olly what do u think of deutz fahr
Great vid olly but next time your carting a trailer you should but your gopro ontop of your cab next to your exhaust cos that 6930 sounds brilliant
The old series John Deere tractors look nice.
i think the 6930 would be a dream to drive for me. my dad have a 2003 Lamborghini premium 1050, it has got something like 72+72 gears. the 1050 is not a bad tractor but it`s a lot harder than a JD with autopower. however the 1050 broke down last year, and we can`t afford the cost of a new gearbox and a clutch. so he`s selling it and i`m most likely going to learn most of driving a tractor the old way in a 1980`s tractor without synchromesh.
Hi Olly, do you have other tractors I could rent for the day?

Nice video
Can you make video how to operate jd linkage?
cool vid. I learned a lot from this video
Nice ONe. Could you do a video how to drive your massey?
It isn't hard at all so he probably won't
In which situations the hand throttle is better than the throttle on the floor? Oh and thanks for the video :)
Hello, hand throttle is great for fieldwork!
I can imagine it´s more steady than a foot throttle in rough and bumpy field.
Hand throttle is very useful for PTO work that requires a constant engine speed. You can still use the foot throttle to increase the revs - the hand throttle sets the minimum speed
Keep the work up
I have driven a Massey Ferguson 6480 and you have to change gears in it
Personally I have one hand on the wheel and my other hand on the the gearstick
Hey Olly is ivt transmission
How long have you been farming for
I’m in the UK 🇬🇧
We have a manual 6930 and we have to use the clutch and we have a 1,2,3,4 Gear range and a manual gearbox
Lot of safety issues with tractors (PTO, etc). Do you need any licensing in UK to operate a tractor? Required training?
