Inside the headquarters of Kwik Trip in LaCrosse

- It is rare for a convenience store chain to have millions of followers on social media, but maybe not if that chain is La Crosse, Wisconsin based Kwik Trip (KT).
The store has a large and cult like following that grows each time they open a new store. TMJ4 News was granted a rare look behind the scenes at the company’s headquarters - where not only are decisions made, but also a lot of the food that is sold at the more than 860 stores across the Midwest.
“Kwik-Trip is part of Wisconsin and I think part of that is Wisconsin is proud of Kwik-Trip" says John McHugh, the company’s Vice President of External Communications.
“The thing I heard from Don more often than anything else is, 'Carl it's such a simple business model. If we take care of our coworkers, then our coworkers will take care of our guests and we'll be successful well into the future.,'" says Training Manager Carl Rick.

I love kwik trip I live near one. I would’ve starve to death. If it wasn’t there Lots of variety of food to eat too in the grilled cheese oh my God I love the grilled cheese sandwiches

Kwik trip strategy: they have monopoly, they increase their prices.
I never got into the cult and mystique of Kwik Trip. First, its gasoline is not the cheapest, especially if the station is alongside a freeway exit ramp where they tend to charge more. And many of their items are more expensive (take donuts for example...they are even more at Kwik Trip than at Sendiks). Sure, the stores are neat, clean, and fully stocked. But I usually am not buying a chicken or other dinner when I am getting a fill-up...not matter how good they are.

They have their own farms and factories plus gas stations themselves giving tons of jobs
Overrated convenience store, the rest of the country has Wawas, QuickTrips, Sheetz, Buc’ees, etc we have the most mid one out of these food focused gas stations.
They don't make anything good. Worst pizza in the world, for one.
