Can confirm. Did a Patapon play through (1st game) on PPSSPP a few weeks ago, and at one point I got myself a Moygoon Megapon, so I could have something, plus I wanted to take a gamble and see if spending resources on a super Rarepon on a class I have barely used. A number of things happened. 1. I immediately wanted a second one 2. Gamble payed off 3. I started using my Megapons more often. 4. I have grown to liking them a whole lot more. And can’t wait to see what I can make whenever I eventually play Patapon 2 on PPSSPP.
Yeah, Hero Megapon is actually insane, with the right stats, especially critical chance, they can be absolutely cracked and multi-purpose in that, too.
@@pataponsaysdonchaka The trick is to play on Easy mode, all it affects is the strictness of the timing. I recommend everybody to play on easy, that way you learn to play in the rhythm of the music rather than becoming extremely good at pressing the buttons 30 milliseconds too early because of the delay.

@@pataponsaysdonchaka Well I can only speak for my experience, I'm a drummer, and the timing of the game is just not right (I was playing the remastered version on ps4). So rather than becoming really good at hitting the buttons in the wrong timing, I like to hit them in the right timing, and for that I need easy mode. Hitting the buttons a specific amount of milliseconds early every single beat is not fun to me, and not a useful skill. Hitting the buttons in the tempo of the song is fun and it improves your rhythm. There's still challenge in the game: reacting with the right drums to the boss' moves, and optimizing your patapon army.
@@Meurth Patapon 2 drum isn't that sync that's true, iirc game reacts after 4 frames from pressing I play with ppsspp and never played remastered, so I don't know remastered timing. Even though I killed boss with heromode in the video, entering heromode all time is boring and I think Patapon 2 gameplay should work even with less heromode (unlike 3), it is the challenge I am talking about. The first Dodonga mission is the exception I played with hard because I wanted less heromode Also, playing easy mode doesn't improve rhythm either And honestly, if the bad timing really bothers you, I wouldn't recommend Patapon game Many modern rhythm games have calibration
I found something out like that as well but instead of that mask that allows for faster attacking i instead use the last & best mask for more critical attack with the same loadout for the Megapon & i do 9109 damaged to 9999 damage each attack. Tested it on all the different Hero mode Patapons & the Megapon is the only one that can always hit 9999 90% of attacks done
