that is exactly what I said to my wife a few minutes ago. She came into the room and I said, can you imagine Scott Hanselman and David Copperfield together in one video? Here we go...

This brings me back to my childhood. I adore David Copperfield. Dude walked through walls and flew in the sky. It's so cool to see my adult idol talking to my childhood one.

I love that "A Trip to the Moon" example for how technology, cinema, magic and science can work together to make amazing things happen.

David Copperfield has helped me through depression in ways that helped me to keep moving forward...not to give up.
David Copperfield inspires me to keep pushing on.
Ive witnessed Mr. Copperfield in person 5 years in a row back in the 1990's.
The first ever live performance i witnessed my disbeleife was off the charts.
Being able to see a Master illusionist at work live in person is a true honor, no real words can explain my feeling of seeing David Copperfield.
His illusions/performance has me wanting more all these years 😊
I may not be able to see Mr. Copperfield in person again, however knowing he is still alive and kicking is a beautiful thing...and an honor to know.
    Truly Amazing ❤😊😊

I always wanted to meet David Copperfield in person.. And I did get to see him a few years ago in his Las Vegas show... Loved it!
My wife had to hold me back cuz I wanted to get up and give him a hug...! LOL!
True story... I was so excited!
He's been my hero I look up to since I first saw him on TV when he walked through the Great Wall of China..!

David Copperfield changed everything & continued to survive and thrive and amaze us forover 40 years. With all the technology of people posting and revealing everything on the internet that is an amazing feat in itself. People will play back videos over and over and over in slow motion and stop frame to figure out how a trick is done. In the old days Magicians could tour with the same act their whole lives! You saw them live & were amazed!
Everyone looked forwad to his specials airing every year.
Now he works in Vegas and does several shows daily. Sometimes we do not want to tell ourselves we are getting older. But I think he would be more successful today if he slowed it down.
3 or 4 days a week at most. People are reviewing him and saying he is tired and is only going through the motions. The man is 66 years old. I do not care how much you exercise and what great personlity you have and showmanship... YOU ARE 66!!! Time waits for no one! The body cacthes up to you. Who knows how many reviews are honest or how many are paid bots by others trying to take over his position.
But from my childhhood watching him on television until my seeing him live in Hollywood at the Pantages and then to Vegas for the best magic show ever I will never forget him.
I hope he magically figures out a way to knock the critics on their ases and at least the last 6months of his performances blows them away. Perhaps he has a few more original tricks up his sleeve; a few illusions for "The Big Finale"
If he cuts back his hours...he will be able to gain some of his luster and energy.
Surprise and astound everyone! & go out on top! You do not have to create fake reviews and make lies up about yourself like "Angels" do.
Because you can actually do live most of what you have done on televison without having to edit yourself.
    David Copperfield we love you!

I had a very strong feeling that he was lying when he said that he created a bunch of sites to mislead people on how some of his magic tricks are revealed. I'm sure he does not do that. Those sites are truly from other magicians or "inventors" revealing his secrets. He's trying to get people uninterested in finding out how the trick is done. Clever. 👏🏼

4:50 - This relates exactly to technology. As leaders in the space, we have to make a deliberate decision on how much of the "art" we share and how much is "proprietary". Those who love challenges and constant innovation will choose to share it all, but it is interesting to see people covet their knowledge in hopes of differentiating themselves amongst their peers, as if they are doing some kind of magic. 🧙

As a child my magic was my glasses. Before I got my glasses I heard and read about the man in the moon and the stars. But I never saw them . To me the moon was like a dime in a dark sky.
It frightened me to see the moon craters. To walk across
an open field and look up and see all those
stars made me afraid. They looked as if they might fall on me. I was almost claustrophobic. I was about twelve years old when I saw, with my own eyes stars in the sky. We lived in the city and the street lights blocked them out, plus my poor eyesight.🤦🏾😵‍💫🤷🏿
