I’m literally on the opposite end here. I been curious about Native Brand. I never tried them, but you say they work pretty well? I might have to look into them then
@@NaturalSoapMan im doubling down on this. Have been using native for about half a year. It works really well and has high quality. Am curious about dr squatch
@@starshine9662 ok, I like that haha 😆 so far I really have no complaints with the Squatch except for price! Good quality and they mostly have a nice scent that is not obnoxious in my opinion
I recently switched to Tom's of Maine after a lifetime of Mitchum. I started off with the 24hr deodorant, but didnt like how it made my underarms constantly feel wet/soapy. Plus the 24hr claim ...I was getting half that before I started to stink. I bought a bar of their 48hr stuff that goes on dry. I'm still going to try and apply it every 12hrs. I was interested in the Dr Squatch deodorant until I saw the price. Thanks for the review of it.
You should never go 48 hours without cleaning yourself and then blame the deodorant for not lasting 48 hours. No deodorant in history would actually make it that long. Learn how to take care of yourself
I got the Bay Rum Deodorant. I actually do like the smell but even chilling inside i notice i’ll have to reapply after 3-4 hours (also gets noticeably more moist). I love the Bay Rum soap though! But as for deodorant i’ll be going back to Arm and Hammer Ultra Max. Its probably one of the best deodorants ive used and lasts super long. Solid review bro!
Body odor often depends on the type of shirt you wear. If I wear cotton t-shirts I will smell bad. However if I wear a polyester/cotton blend, or 'workout' shirts I smell great all day. And, that is my experience with heavy antiperspirants like Old spice. I have tried some natural deodorants just not this brand. None of the ones I have tried hold up longer than a couple hours. I want to try Dr. Squatch but I'm going to watch some more reviews. Edit: I have not tried this brand. I'm commenting on how fabrics affect smell. Avoid 100% cotton.
My girlfriend had been forcing me to stop with the antiperspirant even though they help alot with my body odor alot and just like you I couldn't find a natural deodorant non antiperspirant that provided what I need until I tried Dr squatch Bay rum. I have not tried the other variants but so far the squatch deodorant smells amazing and it lasts about a whole day or two honestly not bad at all and happy that I don't have to keeo searching now,Very surprised. Hope this helps.
Smelling good throughout the day or at least not having BO by the end of the day is VERY important to me. It's why I use antiperspirants. I'm hesitant to spend on something that idk will last.
I just ordered the new doctor squash Star wars collaboration and the pine tar deodorant I want to test to see if I like the natural deodorant better right now I use Old spice but hopefully doctor squatch doesn't fail me but otherwise I like Dr squatch I'm a 15 year old teenage boy so because of hormones and stuff I tend to stink a little more than the average guy but ever since I've been using Dr squatch it's been pretty much nonexistent
@@texaspidey Oh alright. That's good to know. Thanks for the quick reply and recommendation. I think I'm going to try the fresh falls deodorant and soap.
@@NaturalSoapMan by the way, love you channel. Surprised you don’t have more subs, but you got one from me. Also, I tried Amazon for Dr. Squatch thinking I could get free shipping, but it seems like they make up for the shipping by having higher prices. Oh well lol
I've tried their soap and I'm okay with it. I am considering their deodorant which is why I did a YT search for reviews. My thoughts are the deodorant should last 8 hours. Ideally longer as most people will work an 8hr shift, but then you might spent 30 mins in a car or a bus/train so that's a longer day. Anyway, thanks for your review and I will seek out others too. Cheers!
Yea you nailed it! I'm still using these guys. I think the deodorants are really good, and so far are the only ones that are consistently working for me.
Ahh me too! I can relate. I have been been using ole squatchy for better part of a year, and I really come to love the deodorants. It's a little pricey but one stick will last you about a month and a half so it's not too bad there. I also used Bend Soap Company's All-Shield without the baking soda, and that one actually worked better than I thought it would. A little cakey but once you get use to that feeling it's too bad.
Umm that's a pretty good question because that answer could vary depending on who is using it and how much is necessary for that person. For me, 3-5 swipes actually sounds about right. I literally apply these deodorants the same as I always have.
Go with everyman jack. Better price, long lasting scent, no chemicals and it does protect against body odor. The only "downside" is that it feels kinda sticky when you swet but other than that I think its a great brand.
So nobody else has problems with this stuff destroying your clothing? Like my armpits on my darker clothing have lightened out and even put in the wash a bunch of times it doesn't fix anything
To be honest I like this deodorant because it’s not full of chemicals. And I hate the chemical smell feeling. Like the company themselves never said their anti-perspiration. So if your a heavy sweater or work outside then yea don’t really use it but I think this smell will be a lot better and from what I’ve heard it smells really good. Just also don’t use a whole bunch.
I have a problem where my armpits will smell baddd 30 mins or an hour after a shower.. and I clean very well. I was using dove for men’s and I feel like it enhanced my odor!!!
Seen another comment from recently that you've stuck with it; has your opinion changed at all for better or worse? I'm about to try a stick on the 3 month subscription; kind of a bummer if the moisture absorption is bunk but my ol right guard just isn't getting the job done anymore lol. Thanks in advance and great vid!!!
My opinion of these deodorants have actually improved for the better over time. I found that the overall performance of the sticks gradually got better. Now, it’s really the only deodorant I use at this point.
Well, I will say this. It obviously depends on what you are actually doing over the course of those 7 hours. Are you just chilling in class all day, or do you some form of P. E.? If you're just chilling most of the day, then yea, I definitely think it will last you at least most of the day. Either way, if I were you, I would definitely experiment with them, but take a stick with you in case you need to reapply.
@@NaturalSoapMan yeah I just sit in class all day and because of corona we can’t go into the locker rooms to dress out so we don’t actually do anything in p.e so yeah I mostly just sit down and do nothing
@@apexdeer9362 Then I really think you should be fine using their deodorants, but I would bring a stick just in case. Especially, if you never used natural deodorants before.
I do 12 hour shifts in a hot ass factory doing laborious work every day. This deodorant will actively smell good even after 8 hours. At that point I reapply just as preventative maintenance but On the days I didn’t I never ended up with BO. Before when I was using old spice I would have to reapply every 4 hours or so. So, I would highly recommend this deodorant
@@rochambeau2111 I can’t give exact numbers on that. The first stick I used was the fresh falls scent. It worked really good, had a nice clean smell and I could go 7-8 hours in a hot factory before I had to reuse any. However, I left the stick in my truck during summer in a heat spell. Where I’m at we were having 2 week long period of 110 to 115 degree heat. So understandably the fresh falls melted. After that, none of my local stores carried it. However, a store close by did start selling it so I’ve bought one other stick and that’s the birch wood breeze. It has a nice smell, and it lasts me that same 7-8 hours. I’ve had the stick for 2 weeks give or take a couple days and I’m not even halfway through the stick. I highly recommend this product. I’m someone who burns through deodorant pretty fast and this stuff holds up well because you don’t need to reapply as often. And it almost works as a cologne. 9/10 times I can smell the deodorant through my shift and the birch wood breeze blends amazing with my different colognes
You said you dont use natural deos much, what kind have you been using? Ive been using different scents of old spice all my life but i want to try something new
@@NaturalSoapMan Thanks for the reply man I ordered the Fresh Falls deodorant am excited to try it out, I have been using Native for about a year and it’s been causing me really bad rashes recently probably because of the baking soda so I’m gonna try this squatch one out
Only problem I have with this is the anti persperant. I sweat lot and after a while I can smell the B.O itll also leak down my arm as well but other than that it works
On the real I work in a warehouse in and out doors summertime I can't make it through an 8 to 10 hour shift. Somewhere around 5 to 7 hours the bo starts kicking in. I was really trying to find something that wouldn't put those yellow stains in my shirt. My previous deodorant claimed 48 hour protection. It definitely lasted me the whole day for sure
I'm picky on smell, so I like squatch, I like bravo better, but I do like squatch, and it's a nice back up or a nice thing to use to kinda change up brands every now and again
Good video man, hit you with the like and subscribe. I just got a bunch of squatch products the other day and was curious about the deodorant, glad I didn’t scoop any cause it really is mad expensive. The soap, shampoo and conditioner are all amazing though!
Thank you for the love and support! Yea man some of their products are just a bit overpriced for me honestly. However, I find the subscription prices help to offset that a bit.
You can get the same quality soap for way cheaper at thesoapguy.com That’s Dr. Squatch’s supplier and they sell loaves of soap bars that are the same amazing quality without the overpricing. Plus, they’ve got more tons of scents and are constantly making more.
As skinny as I am I’m still as sweaty as a fat boi, but I make sure to stay fresh. I bought the alpine sage and it’s been lasting me like 2 months and i apply a decent amount and it last me like two days per application unless like he said, if your working or moving around a lot. Great product but it’s lowkey expensive, it cost twice the amount of a regular stick of old spice at Walmart
Alpine sage was cool for me but after using it after 1 1/2 half bottles I noticed it smells like b.o but not b.o just smells like outside and even tho it does the job it still gives off a smell I don’t think ppl are gonna say oh that’s alpine sage it’s more of a b.o smellish/ tree smell which is really kinda surprising I noticed this late after using it for a couple months. I think it works great just the smell profile is to close to bo however I would recommend trying for yourself this is just my anecdotal opinion. I will for sure get the other falls scented one to see how I like it.

I loved how honest you were and detailed about little things that matter.. very trustworthy reviewer. Subscribed - hoping you do more than just soap in the future 💪😂👍
I like the new birch about to post my next video on that one. For me personally, yes. I’m not a big of dial in general period honestly. But that’s just me you know.
$12 a stick ($4.52 per oz) for this stuff will keep me from even trying it. I can get Degree for Men for $2-3 a stick (52 cents per oz) at Sam's Club and it works great and has subtle scents. I don't need anybody to smell my deodorant. I just don't want them to smell BO. "Natural" is not worth more than 8x the price per ounce.
literally just got a 6 pack of Degree off Amazon before finding this video after balking at the price lol. Why do all natural ingredients and minimal processing cost more than factory chemicals? lol.
@@wtfsahandle Yea, I wish that wasn't the case, right? However, when you can just simply create ingredients in a lab at virtually no cost and minimal time versus harvesting real ingredients from nature that actually have varying factors that determine their prices (from time of the of the year and physical demand to name a couple) it just makes it easier for commercial brands to sell you a product that is cheaper.
only thing I wish about the deodorant is that they were also an antiperspirant, I work outdoors and I tend to sweat a good amount so I have to use something that helps stop the sweating
The bay rum soap and deodorant smell exactly the same. Difference is deodorant scent is stronger. If you don’t get lots of cinnamon, then something’s wrong with you.
The short answer is no. Now, I’ve had people tell me that if you apply too much the deodorant could potentially leave a white residue after, however, I’m if if leaves a permanent stain or could it simply be washed out. Hope that helps
Any chance you noticed it leaving a residue or any sort of dried out spots on your clothes after you wash? I used Native and am on Harry’s new deodorant now and whenever I do laundry there’s white splotches on some of my black tees even though the stick is clear. It’s hella annoying. I’d pay the $12 just for that peace of mind.
I personally haven’t noticed any white stains or anything like that, but I did have one person tell me they experienced some white stains. Now, he did say that he probably used way too much, so I’m not hundred percent sure what that really means in context but is something to keep in mind. But me personally, no. Hope that helps.
@@NaturalSoapMan That helps a ton man, I appreciate it. I think because Harry’s hasn’t been working great I’ve been applying more which may lead to the residue. But at $5 a pop how could you not try it you know?
I get a white residue leftover mostly, but when I passed my thumbnail it disappears. But I don't get those weird yellow stains. I noticed my older shirts will have a slight decolorization but I'm not sure that's from the deodorant or from me naturally sweating over time.
Would you say that this is overall better than something like Old Spice? That’s what I’m using right now. I’ve been using their soaps for like a year now and I really enjoy them, but I’m unsure about the deodorant.
Me personally…I would say anything is better than Old Spice deodorant! Old Spice's deodorant would literally burn my armpits and would even make my skin peel! Ironically, was one of the main factors I started my channel. SO yea, I hate Old Spice period haha
I love the smell of the Bay Rum but I agree it's not very manly. The Alpine Sage smells great and is the best deodorant I've ever had. I don't care much about Fresh Falls because it smells unnatural.
I currently use Right Guard 4.0 oz, it lasts a long time but it is hard time find a soap that will clean it off my skin. Dr. Squatch, Kirks Castile Soap and a Natural soap I buy local cleans Right Guard from my pits. Right Guard is way cheaper, it lasts 24 hours, it blocks the sweat, but it is as un natural as it gets. I shower daily, sometimes 2 times a day depending on what is going on, seldom by sometimes, I use my deodorant once a day, for $12 I need this stick to last at least a month and work. Buy or Bust ? Excellent video by the way. I liked the soaps, except for the Bay Rum Soap (didn't clean my pits and I did not like the smell). The Cold Brew Cleanse was a disappointment and did not smell like coffee either, Pine Tar was smelled good and Wood Barrel Bourbon was good but the scent rinsed away, so I was clean and I noticed that I did not have to use lotion in the winter time but I did not smell like the soap for hours after the shower. A lot of commercial hype, soap is descent, it's not worth $7 for 5 oz, but when compared to the market it is the only natural soap out there of it's quality for that price so we are stuck with $7 for 5 oz.
@@amandav8624 yea definitely, I actually had a video planned to quickly go over it probably later this weekend. Super quick though: performance wise was virtually identical and has a sweet fresh clean sheet smell.
I know dudes don't want to shave their body hair for whatever reason. You want to stop stinky BO. Shave or trim if you cant shave your pits. Sure some people stink no matter what, hair or not. But me being hairy. I noticed these things. My dermatologist said shave or trim the hair. Expensive deodorant $12 and soap $8. But if you want something cheaper at Wal-Mart, deodorant that works. Use Mitchum deodorant.
If you still say “I’m too grown for that” you’re really not grown at all. Actually growing and maturing is understanding that you can wear pink and you don’t have to smell “manly”. You just have to smell clean
Natural deodorants do kinda suck. The scent is completely gone within an hour or so, my natural smell starts coming through within a few hours. I'd rather use something natural, but I end up switching between natural and synthetic depending on the day and my plans
@@NaturalSoapMan I have not tried Lume. I didn't clarify that I went ahead and got a subscription package with Dr. Squatch, and that so far Fresh Falls is a great scent.
The thing with native brand is that they are not really natural and use “ fragrance” and not “ natural fragrance”.
I was considering this deodorant since I use the bar soap but how is this deodorant in comparison to lume/Mando? I use Mando right now.
I recently switched to Tom's of Maine after a lifetime of Mitchum. I started off with the 24hr deodorant, but didnt like how it made my underarms constantly feel wet/soapy. Plus the 24hr claim
...I was getting half that before I started to stink. I bought a bar of their 48hr stuff that goes on dry. I'm still going to try and apply it every 12hrs.
I was interested in the Dr Squatch deodorant until I saw the price. Thanks for the review of it.
Thanks for sharing my brotha! And it’s no problem at all!
You should never go 48 hours without cleaning yourself and then blame the deodorant for not lasting 48 hours. No deodorant in history would actually make it that long. Learn how to take care of yourself
No kidding. You couldn't pay me to go two days without a shower.
@@BigBobster86 You would if you were in a survival situation. I think most any of us would.
Yea it definitely gets moist. Thanks for the feedback my friend.
You going to do sudsy bears? Theirs is suppposedly an anti persperant.
J B, man thanks for sharing! If you do decide to try one, then come back and let me know what you think.
@@NaturalSoapMan
Absolutely.

Nice vid man!
As a huge Eminem fan, this is hilariously one of my favorite comments. Period. Love it
Damn he does sound a lot like Eminem lmao

The one thing that stops me from reordering Dr Squatch is the shipping charges. $8.95 to ship three bars of soap and some deodorant!? Gimme a break
That’s tough. I know the only two ways to get free shipping is either subscribing or ordering a certain amount
@@NaturalSoapMan by the way, love you channel. Surprised you don’t have more subs, but you got one from me.
Also, I tried Amazon for Dr. Squatch thinking I could get free shipping, but it seems like they make up for the shipping by having higher prices. Oh well lol
@@rdjess thank you I appreciate that! Oh wow, I didn’t realize that. I never ordered Dr. Squatch through Amazon. Good to know though
Any recommendations??? I have sensitive armpits that get bad odor from most of the “popular brands”
How many times do you swipe this deodorant? My unnatural deodorant is 3 to 4 swipes
No, I don’t necessarily get my shirts destroyed, but I noticed I get a white residue leftover for sure.
If the price is an issue there are coupon codes for up to 30% off
Solid video, thanks!
Thank you!
Hmm, have you spoken to a doctor or professional? Also I'm not a fan of Dove, but I wonder what could help you.
@@NaturalSoapMan actually I’m going to, so let’s see what happens. Thanks for the advice/ recommendations though man 👍🏽👍🏽

Thanks in advance and great vid!!!
My opinion of these deodorants have actually improved for the better over time. I found that the overall performance of the sticks gradually got better. Now, it’s really the only deodorant I use at this point.

I go to school for a little over 7 hours, do you think it will last all/most of the day? Would I have to reapply one or two times?
@@NaturalSoapMan thanks for the info and advice
I do 12 hour shifts in a hot ass factory doing laborious work every day. This deodorant will actively smell good even after 8 hours. At that point I reapply just as preventative maintenance but On the days I didn’t I never ended up with BO. Before when I was using old spice I would have to reapply every 4 hours or so. So, I would highly recommend this deodorant
Which scents did you use? And how long did each stick of deodorant last?

After using the deodorant for a few weeks, I have noticed the deodorant leaves a stain that is quite noticeable. The pros is that it smells good.
Idk if Squatch will last a 8-10 shift in a warehouse, but I’m pretty confident it won’t leave any yellow stains.

You make great points my friend!

The bay rum soap and deodorant smell exactly the same. Difference is deodorant scent is stronger. If you don’t get lots of cinnamon, then something’s wrong with you.
Pro tip: clean your pits with rubbing alcohol and reapply for heavy work days.
so have you seen stains in your shirts when you switched?

Man gave a whole extra review😂😂

I know dudes don't want to shave their body hair for whatever reason. You want to stop stinky BO. Shave or trim if you cant shave your pits. Sure some people stink no matter what, hair or not. But me being hairy. I noticed these things. My dermatologist said shave or trim the hair. Expensive deodorant $12 and soap $8. But if you want something cheaper at Wal-Mart, deodorant that works. Use Mitchum deodorant.
I notice I sweat and smell more shaving my armpits, I guess more body friction causes it for me
Yeah it’s the hair that gives off that BO. Same boat no hair and I smell wonderful with this deodorant
If you still say “I’m too grown for that” you’re really not grown at all. Actually growing and maturing is understanding that you can wear pink and you don’t have to smell “manly”. You just have to smell clean
Ur always the truth bro
I better be careful with all this truth! They might try and cancel me huh 🤣🤣
Natural deodorants do kinda suck. The scent is completely gone within an hour or so, my natural smell starts coming through within a few hours. I'd rather use something natural, but I end up switching between natural and synthetic depending on the day and my plans
Would you recommend this deodorant over Lume? Ty

Regarding their soap, I tried Bay Rum. It's funny, just smelling it in the Box, I did not like it. It smelled funny. As soon as I used it in the shower however, I love it. I just did a 3 bar subscription to see how I like some of the other stuff. I know the soap is expensive as soap goes, but I liked it that much that I'm willing to try it. I'm trying a stick of the deodorant too. I've read some mostly good things about it, plus what you just said.
