Done a good job there, Mike's magic hands got it running a nice little engine a Honda copy just a bigger cc, Great video, keep up the good work Take care
I completely understand why you went down the Loncin route, but by the same token, I wouldn't even consider buying a machine with one fitted. The Honda Gx is just unrivaled for reliability, longevity and spares availability. Its all i run now. Each to their own, though. Im sure this will make for a cheaper machine for whoever buys it and slightly more profit for yourselves. 👍
Yeah I get what you mean, Unfortunately the Honda on this one was toast, parts haven’t been a good from Honda of late and their warranty isn’t generally worth much anymore as they wiggle out of everything. (I used to be a Honda dealer) love them in general, but Loncin do seem to be great on parts and you can buy at least 2 of their engines for the same as a Honda.
@MachineryNationVlogs Doubly tricky for you guys too, not being the end user. I would imagine there's not a lot of profit for you in these things? Worrying to hear about their spare parts, I daren't think how many GX's we're running currently! 🙈 Also interesting to hear you used to be a Honda dealer but are happy to use Loncin. Shows you're clearly not biased etc. 👍
Great follow up video .Great work as ever far too much stuff is just thrown away when broke .Nice to see you can make a few pounds and employ a few people in the process .
Nice to see her going again mines very lively on full revs haha had to replace the both chains on the drive aswell. I always wondered what that fitting was for on the tank my auger hasn't got a case drain also never thought of using the skidster to power the breaker I always take the beaver pack 🤣👌learn something new everyday. Still interested in the trencher and pallet forks if they're available.
I’ve had a good experience with the Chinese copy engines. If maintained they run and last well. All the parts are generally interchangeable with the Honda engines.
Real old school chain treatment, coil up replacement chain(s), put in large pot cover with heavy gear oil or light grease (00 or 000 grade) heat to ~+120°C let cool overnight, install chains. Not to be done to O'ring chain.
@@finditfixitfarmit Are the chains on the skid steer open? If so, putting covers on will give longer life. Also, depending on how, they are done, will add greatly to machine rigidity. Best wishes from the far North.
@@finditfixitfarmit ye should do a repower series from a ride on mower to a walk behind get loncin to supply ye the engines show people with ride ons repower is a very good option
Great video looks a great bit of kit!! Im used to loncin engines, got lots of lumag gear all on loncin engines. Really good engines in my book
Nice to see you got it going again 👍🏻 Engine swap was definitly the right way to go on that one
Thanks Derra, yeah, saved some time and agro 👍🏼

Doesn’t Loncin make parts for BMW? They use them in their motorcycles, they wouldn’t do that unless they were decent.
Ooo I hadn’t heard that, would be very interest if they do. Thanks mate 👍🏼
@@finditfixitfarmit Yeah BMW have a contract with them for motorcycle parts iirc.
I would go to say Lonsin is better than briggs now as a garden machine mechanic is Wiltshire
100% agree! Not much has briggs on these days
Cracking little machine what is your eBay link
We will put it in the community tab when it’s ready 👍🏼
