Tidy tractor ground pto can be used for lime spreading or buy a ground muck spreader as for smoke yes oil change ore maybe burning of carbon as our one does

Hi, what you have here is a vehicle named RASANT KOMBITRAK. It seems that it is a SD1903 model. The brand is from Austria. Hollenegg in Styria to be precise. The inventor of the brand (Mr. Nussmüller) invented it for maintaining our steep vineyards we have in south Styria. Since the brand went bankrupt already some years ago, AEBI bought the brand and already rebranded the last versions of the Kombitrak. Rasant started to build these machines simultaniously with REFORM, which is also an Austrian brand. Together they basically invented these category of machines. However Rasant was more focused on maintaining and harvesting wineyards, whereas Reform‘s focus was on mowing and harvesting gras. If you need any spareparts, I could organize them, since I am living in Hollenegg. However you should also be able to get parts at your AEBI dealers in the UK. Best regards, Max

What happened to the old 35 what had a lot of missing parts what you bought

Great video, loved the tour of all the functions and so on. Would love even more footage of this beast. My uncle, as I mentioned in a comment In your last video, has had one of these since 2008, he had the same model before that (since 2006? same age as me haha) but had to get a new one after it burned down from a baler fire. Anyway as I mentioned in the last video's comments he has a Rossmore loader (older gen no longer available FL110, think they only sell FL105 and 115 now) and the bracket for the loader makes the tractor look much angrier and sharper (like bent fangs, you could probably find a pic by googling Rossmore) so perhaps that could be something to consider. They are an Irish brand though so don't know if you'll be able to get ahold of them in the UK but probably. The little I have driven of it I love it and I like the shuttle system in his tractor but this system seems fun too. It has been great for my uncle when carting bales and so on back to the farm. Hopefully, Mike will have all the little issues fixed up in no time with his great mechanical skills. Love how you care for your tractors and take in new ones to repair and a full restoration of this one would look amazing with that front loader bracket I'm talking about. Wish I could insert the image of one here.😔 I might've forgotten to mention something, I probably put it in my comment on your earlier video. Anyway, best of luck and happy days driving your amazing Same. I have so many fond memories of growing up and visiting my uncle in Ireland on the farm and riding in the passenger seat, up until I started banging my head off the roof.😂 Happy days indeed.😁😀 Would love to see more of this tractor and if I remember any other things about it I'll try to let you know and I can ask my uncle if he has any tips for you.

I absolutely adore this tractor. Great buy and great value for money. About the front end not looking aggressive enough, my uncle over in Ireland has this same model. I believe it is his front loader bracket that sticks up like to bent fangs on the front (wish I could add a picture here), its a rossmore loader (FL 110? older model that's discontinued I believe) so could be specific to the loader (btw it looks awesome and is so handy with a loader) and not possibly to get ahold of otherwise but that really sharpens the looks on the tractor for me. Hopefully, I will get to drive it some more when I go over there to work a bit on the farm and meet the family. It truly is a magnificent beast of a machine. Looks a good tidy machine,wouldn't be silly money neither but more suited to lighter work. Parts availability may a problem but Deutz dealerships may help out there. Odd place to put the hand throttle though.

is it a 4 or 6 cylinder engine........the earlier Same's were air cooled ..........i got a 2008 and 2015 Explorer's there both water cooled.......i don't know when they changed over

the glow plug button is for colder countrys like poland russia you have to bear in mind these tractors are probabley more common in other countrys made for there climates and conforts hence the quirky layouts sold all around the wourld but only one design to keep costs down

Looks a great machine ...only thing I would add is the coolant on those same tractors is a thing of its own... never put water or generic antifreeze or anything else in the cooling system only ever the genuine sdf coolant..other than that with regular servicing and greasing ect she should be a winner

Hi James them tractor engines sould be heated when the engine is cold and that sould stop the smoke

Land drive could be for powered axles on trailers?

land drive is live drive probabley for older equipment like older tractors probabley used alot in other countrys with older equipment

Watch out for coolant in oil great lively engine but they are a wet liner design and the seals used to be prone to going around 4000 hours . Some people used say if coolant was changed regularly prevented it however was never mentioned in manuals, its not a terrible hard jib to do heads off sump off can be done without removing engine.. I'd to do it with one in 2012 cost 1200euro though ...a lot of gaskets required with turbo manifolds heads exc..also important to keep good battery in them I think gearbox is in danger if voltage drops too low however that's a later model one so that could be remedied by then ... Best of luck with it looks to have been well minded whoever owned it previously..

Ground speed pto was popular on 100 & 500 series Massey's for lime spreading contractors, I still have a Massey 135 with groundspeed pto the pto turns at a speed relative to the ground speed of the rear wheels. Not sure but I think a few Italian built tractors had groundspeed pto due to the very hilly terrain in parts of Italy.

Hi, the dream machine... Can I suggest you get Mike to fabricate a bracket to raise the hand brake lever into a higher position, so Max can reach it and it becomes second nature for him to use it as at present he isn't....🤔

Very useful video however the instructions say that the dip stick should be screwed in and then removed to check the oil level . If the level is done just be holding at the top of the oil tube threads wouldn’t this mean the engine was over filled with oil

Tidy tractor and it sounds good, a service may help the smoking, but may need the injectors serviced 👍

You've got a great tractor dont for get when you bring up the pick up hitch you press the button to let the hitch drop down and hold in the latch which takes the pressure of the linkage. Great vid James and Max . Max will be a contractor when hes older what a great young man he is every credit to you

land speed pto is nothing new as zetors had that years, creeper box is not used for heavy work, it sounds like it has a misfire on start up hence the smoke. had to laugh when you said its been so well looked after as the plastic is on the roof but engine oil filter is rusty lol id rather the engine had been looked after as the cab roof wont stop working. the rear tyres have a ton of tread but are perished between the treads

you should of seen our old 1.3 cdti corsa do a cold start was like watching the red arrows turn there smoke on at displays .For a cold start no glow plugs she,s a peach. 👌

Hi creep gear is not normally for use in high torque applications its normally used for veg planters or hedge cutting

I wasn’t familiar with SAME before watching your vids - just found out it is Italian and stands for Società Anonima Motori Endotermici and is pronounced Sah-may! Every day is a school day.

Only just discovered your channel. Brilliant run through of the mechanisms, especially the knotters. They really were a memorising machine for a young lad growing up in the 80s as l did! Like how did they tír the knot? And, the distinctive churning noise that could be heard for miles on hot summers evenings...... Here on our small farm in the west of Ireland l remember welger balers we're seen as the creme de lá creme. They made a nice bale and were a fast baler compared to the likes of a massey ferguson. Jones was another make l remember. I don't think there were any new holland here in this part of the country. "Knots out and down" was what my father would drum into us as we'd stack them in 4s on their end like poles of a wigwam, if that makes sense. Twas all got to do with the way the bale was made and to help rain run off while they were outside seasoning.

I have been told that ground PTO can be useful. For example if using a potato harvester and you get a stone stuck in it, you can drive the tractor backwards a free the obstruction. Some Massey Ferguson’s had ground PTO. That’s not a lot of smoke, I have driven worse. After locking the pickup hitch, lower you lift arms slightly taking the weight off your lift and load on the hydraulics.

The bottom pto is land drive which is driven by your wheels, you switch between 540 and 1000 on a lever just on the left side of the pto on the back. Also the hook bracket for the top link is there it just needs a u shaped hook to go through the holes

Can I suggest that you give the viewers more warning that the video is about to end as that’s when most folk usually give the thumbs up. When you said thanks for watching there wasn’t enough time to give a thumbs up before the video ended. Anyway lovely tractor, I’m sure you will enjoy the upgrade. 👍

I would be fairly keen to buy your Same 80 but I would need to sell my MF 698 first these things always come along at the wrong time I think it’s called the law of sod there’s never the right time when money and big purchases are involved 👍
