Yes I found that Darkroom have vintage look when exporting which by the way I love and that’s way I love Darkroom over Lightroom cc

Lol so the way you phrase it, it was unintentional? That's actually terrible, because I can easily create a "vintage" look in lightroom, the difference is I can chose if I want to or not

Great video. Could one do their basic quick edits like exposure, cropping, saturation, etc on Darkroom (especially batch or multiple photos) and then finish if needed on on say Affinity or Pixelmator Pro?

I just had the chance to sit down enjoy a coffee and watch the video, thanks for sharing after this review I can tell I will stay with Lightroom but I pay almost 20usd for the Plan of 1 terabyte and photoshop. And I have installed capture one too just in case hahaha

Nicely done. We have three Macs in my household. I, however, use the one standalone PC Laptop (Dell XPS15). I do have an iPad Pro with a keyboard. I'll just have to make do.

thanks for this like darkroom on iOS, but in mac osx, its too basic, there are little additional tools (if any?) compared to the stock photos app in Big Sur

Hi, could you clarify what kind of style you are referring to that your clients wanted that Darkroom couldn’t (can’t?) deliver. And is it’s style opposite perhaps Lightroom? Thanks.

What does darkroom offer that the default Apple Photos app doesn't provide? Sorry if obvious but I couldn't spot it.

@@accentontheoff i think it' has more raw processing options -- not a big deal for me as i intend to shoot jpg.

@@ejntaylor I am curious as to what exactly that means. Apple Photos also can edit raw images. One guy has even done a tutorial on it. I think the main difference is the color sliders, batch processing, and organization. Pros require these a lot more.

Was looking at it then realise there is no camera colour profile, no quick white balance adjustment or lens based correction 😞😞

After i bought it i then realised two things, it does not support compressed raws and it does not work with Mojave and Catalina, only with Mac OS 11.
As my main editing pc has installed Mojave and Catalina... I reached for support and told me that Darkroom as Mac Photos Only support uncompressed raws so why should i shoot family and instagram photos with a 50mb file??? If i can do it with a jpeg file so what's the point of dealing with raw files?

It depends on what photography you're doing, which tools you need etc... If you like the look of everything I went through in the review then I think it's good value as you'll get the app on all of your devices and you'll get updates too.

How has being basic/simple anything to do with the Mac? Should the Mac only have complex apps? I don't get the connection you make between the two. Is the app too basic? Maybe. Is it too basic for the Mac? What kind of question is that? It's either too basic or it isn't. The Mac has nothing to do with it. What would make it too basic for the Mac but not for a PC?

Thanks Tahir! Yeah sure, I'm using an M1 MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage and that's it. Apple don't make many variants of the M1 computers at the moment. It's been a dream for video editing 😍
