    I really enjoy rooms like this that aren't too over the top. Very clean, simple (in appearance), and does exactly what is needed while still being livable.
    Rooms like this help me, and I'm sure others, get ideas and motivation to continue to tinker with my setup.

    Very nice looking room Matt and great video Tony! Adding the back wall was the biggest improvement IMO and really completed the the package! I'm so jealous of your Tray Ceiling, lighting control, 4 subs, and of course that Valencia seating! Well done man!!! Also, I do wish that I had gone with a 120" 16x9 instead of the 113.5" scope screen that I chose... I thought I would get dizzy from such a big screen, but I projected a near 130" image on to my wall after I pulled my scope screen off to install my new speakers, and realized that I would have been ok with that size at my 11' 3" seating distance from the screen. Maybe someday I'll decide to redo my front wall again... lol

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scope is a dream mate - I wish I could have it in my room but its too narrow.

    • @TerminatorJuice
      @TerminatorJuice 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Matt Ording Technically I could go to a 125" scope screen, but it would just barely fit the width my room with the acoustic panels on the side walls, and I would have to put the projector even further back, so I'm glad that I went with the size I did... But I wouldn't be mad at having that extra height of a 16x9 for shows and 1.85:1/ IMAX enhanced movies!

    I have to hand it to Matt’s wife on the color choices for the room. I was torn on doing grey’s and blacks in mine, and now I’m definitely going a different route using a two tone blue. It’ll really let the gloss black on my speakers show, and adds a touch of class to what could be a dreary color choice going really dark.

    • @TorinTPG

    What is screen size..
    Do u need multiple subwoofer or rather spend on 8000f floor standing speakers... with single 15inches sub... which is better...
    Thanks in advance

    • @TorinTPG
      @TorinTPG ปีที่แล้ว

      Screen size is in the video 😀 It's 120inch, 16:9
      Multiple subs help pressurize the room and even out the bass response in the room itself. It isn't about louder bass necessarily. My LFE response was very "boomy" in my room with just the 2 SVS up front.
      8000F are great speakers, but floor standing speakers cannot compete with a quality subwoofer. It takes a lot of power to drive your speakers in the lower frequencies. Subwoofers are designed with that in mind. It's typically better to let the subwoofers handle the LFE and let your other speakers handle everything above your crossover (80-120hz depending on your setup_
      Better all depends on what you need and want out of your system. Every room is different. Every user is different.

      Hello!
      I've had no concerns with Klipsch "harshness" . The THX series of speakers are designed to be more neutral, but I've not compared and measured
      if you are looking go with the 8000 series, its always best to try and hear them live in a setup. I didn't have the luxury, but I have no regrets

    • @TorinTPG
      @TorinTPG ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I could do it again, I would probably go bigger. Something with less of a bezel. When I bought the screen, I was worried that I'd go too big. I have big subs up front (bigger now than what I had when I purchased the screen). Ceiling height is a limiting factor too. If I want 16:9, I can't go much higher on the wall or any wider without having part of the screen blocked by the subs

Now I have the ability to customize everything thanks to kodi while still being able to use the zidoo player for its ability to transcode DV into HDR10(+).
    The PI4 has now replaced the PI3 in the bedroom.

      Exactly. Like we discussed on a different video, the factory video wall and interface is perfect for many people as it's about as close to plug and play as you can get.
      However, those of us that can't help but tweak things, kodi(zdmc + aeon nox skin) is amazing.
