- After our well deserved trip to Europe, things are back in full swing and we're nearing the finish line. Building a house in Bali by yourself is certainly no walk in the park, so it was important to step away from the build and recharge our batteries. Feeling refreshed, we're now ready to tackle the final things that remained unfinished until now.
If you want to read more about our journey of building our own house in Bali, you can read our Build Diary here:

Favoloso quando i muri non raccontano più niente.....per fortuna c'è un Favoloso Panorama a 360°...... wawwww .....
Love the selection of plants that compliment your home style. Beautifully done!
beautiful tropical design house. vibrant.
I happy to see the result especially the window for adding wind flow into house
Yep we have lots of breeze here
Hi guys Wayan here, you guys did amazing work, always motivated as I turn on your channel.
Thanks so much, we appreciate the support!
Those red palms are Cyrtostachys Renda AKA Sealing Wax palm or commonly known in Australia as Lipstick palms . Absolutely the most beautiful tropical palm you can grow 👍🏝
They are actually an equatorial species that will only grow with good care from about Airlie Beach north along the coast , although they will even struggle to grow well in Townsville as they do not tolerate too many cool winter nights below 15 degrees C , so they do best in Cairns and Darwin .😊
Beautiful craftsmanship especially the gorgeous carved door. I love hidden homes that open to retreat that is well designed.
Thank you for your lovely comment 🙏💛

Nice house , ,good move , good luck im from lukban province of Quezon
Thanks! 😃
The building looks absolutely great painted black, but does that colour not turn the place into an oven when the sun is out each day??
No it doesn't because it's very open so the breeze can pass through. That was the idea :)
in my language UBUD means bud of a flower.
👍👍❤
Nice 😀
Thanks!
Beautiful home.
Peeping tom’s dream home though lol😅
Bagus rumah yang asri
cool house
Thanks so much!
i love
Thank you so much!
No mosquitos? Nice
I absolutely love your home! What tiles do you have on your kitchen floor?
Hi there, it’s polished concrete…
it is really a beautiful place.but my feeling is either the camera is used without permission like, because it turns very fast ,no use of it since cannot get any clear vision.if the camera motion would slower than this taht would be a very good video, thanks
We’re still learning and figuring out how best to do ‘walk-through’s’ where we and the camera are moving, hopefully we’ll get better with practice.
Nice....
Thanks!

The house looks amazing. Anyway, what kind of metal do you use as the frame?
All panels are made from galvanised steel…
Great place. What are those big leafed plants to the left of your entertainment hut? Not the bananas
Thanks! The plants are called Pisang Calithea, they’re part of the banana plant family but they don’t have fruit… They just look nice 😊
Looks like Calathea Lutea.
Thats calathea lutea. Lots here in the tropics. The philippines.
so nice! How many sqm is your lot and floor area?
Thank you Joanna, the land size is 600 square metres and the floor area is 130 square metres, excluding the motorbike garage and BBQ area. 🙏
I really love you lovely house... How much does it cost to build that house in rupiah IDR ?
It’s surprisingly cost effective. We haven’t done a full cost analysis yet but will share a square metre price in a future episode 🙏
How do you live with the mosquitos without nets on the windows?
We have the ceiling fans on all day, this helps a great deal with the mosquitoes. We also burn incense at sunset… All in all, it’s not a major problem for us.
Selamat Pagi
Hello beautiful home. Well done. 6:52 what’s the name of that plant please? Thanks
Thank you so much! The plants are called Calathea Lutea I believe…
Love it! How do you all keep Bali belly away! I’m wanting to visit but scared of this Ty
No worse than in other places. It’s part of travelling!
@@slowlifeinbali thanks! Good to know! 😃
PS . Don't let the Lipstick palms dry out , they will perish !
Yes, we have been watering a lot lately due to the drought here in Bali. It should be raining by now but nothing!! No rain in over 6 months 😌
Wishes.....
the roof is not enough insulated,,,,too hot there
It looks very beautiful. But your presentation b/w you 2 is a bit mismatched. Perhaps the Hubby does a video on the over build and the wify can go into details on interior - why? Because what one is saying is not captured on camera. Take your time.
Great suggestions, thank you!
No insulation on the walls?
By the way it's pretty cool, love it
No we didn’t feel like we needed insulation. And it’s perfect the way it is…
@@slowlifeinbalimeans you really love the climate of Bali , is there no air conditioner too?
@@mahadiyantoarchitect8909 no we choose to live with nature and not go against it 🙏
歸命蓮華生大士🙏
What about the mosquitoes and other insects entering? What about the magnified glass effect with all those glasses plus Black color frames and tin roof? What about the thieves?
Lots of mosquitoes and other insects, way too hot and many, many burglars!!! :-)
Bali is quiet safe, not too many thieves
hello What country do you live in?
Hello, we live in Bali, Indonesia
Can you share the house plan 😊
We have been thinking about doing that… stayed tuned.
I thought foreigner can't even have a house or land legally in Indonesia
You can ☺️
Believe in Jesus. Jesus saved everyone from hell. God bless all of you.
isnt hot?
It’s Bali, it’s always hot ☀️
but the best jobs don't get advertised
Beautiful home
