Hey Nicholas, I'd love to learn to play that the way you do. I play it along with several other songs from the era, but I can't play it with the skill and style you did. I play, besides "Old gray bonnet", "By the light of the silvery moon", "In the good ol summertime", "Sweet Adeline", "In my Merry Oldsmobile", "I can't tell why I love you", "In the night", "Cecilia", "Down by the old mill stream", and several others. I love the music from the 1900s and 1910s, it's got such a quaint old charm to it, romantic and idyllic, the way people spent their leisure time, or wish that they could while struggling through the tough times of poverty, disease, and WW1.

Correction on one song I listed, it's "I don't know why I love you (I just do)", not "I can't tell why I love you". I've learned several others on piano now as well as the songs already listed, and some are not even the more well remembered ones today, but some very old and quaint songs from 1900 - 1917 that were loved back then but later forgotten by many; "Billy", "Shine on harvest moon", "In the sweet by and by", "Will you love me in December as you do in May", "Wait til the sun shines Nellie", "Just before the battle, mother", "Massa's in the cold, cold ground", "A bird in a gilded cage", "In the shade of the old apple tree", "My wild Irish rose". I'd not be surprised if many of you have never heard of some of these once-a-very-long-time-ago loved but long long forgotten songs

Wow! What talent! I love it. I was looking up some music that my mother really loved and found this. Thanks for sharing your talent with me. Love, love, love it!

Nice playing! You should do a one step arrangement of Peg O' My Heart!

Thanks! I unfortunately do not have the sheet music for this as I make up my own arrangement as I sit down and play them. I do write music and read music, but most of my arrangements just come off the fly!
