    Sarah -- thank you for the outlines on your website. My drawing is coming along, but it isn't great. Using your outlines and following along with you on youtube, I can at least make something nice and over time will be good enough to frame. Wish I had your talent, but for now, I'm happy just to follow along. I am 70 years old and at the very least it helps me keep my hands steady. In appreciation, Josie

    You can use a magic eraser on the plastic palette, wet it rub over the mixing area it's stops the beading of the paint.

    I love this, can’t wait to try it. Also wanted to comment on plastic tray. I saw a video where the artist tried several methods to give more tooth to the plastic to prevent the little pools. The best one (and it really works) is to take a glue stick and generously rub on mixing tray then wipe off with a damp cloth then a dry cloth. Wish I could remember the video but I’m sure if you google painting with plastic trays you’ll find it.

    I tend to make my own graphite paper with square graphite sticks and tracing paper. With a light touch while drawing the drawing will erase entirely with a kneaded eraser. However it is messy... very messy. Maybe there are lighter shades of graphite..., that would be nice, I haven't used all the commercial graphite papers for sure but the ones I bought were too dark and did not erase. Maybe they were carbon paper instead...not sure now. I rarely draw from scratch on watercolor paper so I would love to find pale gray graphite paper that would erase easily.

    I totally LOVE your videos and your art box!!! Alexa says that carbon paper is ink coated with some sort of waxy substance.

    the google says: Well, transfer paper (also known as graphite paper) works in exactly the same way, only using graphite instead of carbon. ... Transfer paper that is designed specifically for artists is a lot cleaner than carbon paper. Transfer paper is greaseless, leaving behind less residue, and is easy to erase.

    Flotsam is debris that happens to be in the water not deliberately placed there. Jetsam is debris that has been intentionally thrown in the water.

    Graphite and carbon are two distinct and different substances. So, you were right, Sarah.

  • @marthaanderson2656
    @marthaanderson2656 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    carbon and graphite papers are not exactly the same, As mentioned graphite is somewhat erasable . This is a totally interesting project as I live in Washington and love the coast. I will say it is a confident person who would wear a white sleeves or cuffs while painting. :-)
