I still have the original 956 newman porsche tamiya, if you google image this, you see it against a blue wall/laminate floor = car , box and instructions. It was so fast, without any bumpers...it hardly saw road time. I was like 15 at the time. Stuck to my SuperChamp, which I still have too...that took all the abuse. Fun times...back in the 80's.
Paint them all like Herbie. 😂 The TT02 Porsche 911 has a nice body shell as well.

I’m almost done with my first Tamiya kit - the 911 GT1 Street. It’ll be up in a week or two as an emergency vehicle. Working on the strobes now. I agree with you 100% - a wonderful blank slate.
If I had that 911 GT2 (wonderful hop-ups!) I’d do the livery of the ‘95 #74 STP or maybe the ‘97 P. Snijers FINA/Bastos livery.

Go for a dark green on the GT2. Porsche has had several hues of greens over the years and it will look great with gold wheels and accents.

That is SUCH a collection! The modern Rothmans car is my favourite, just stunning! I agree with other people that the GT2 should be Gulf livery, it striking, iconic and relatively easy to do. Maybe it's been done too much though. I'm sure you will come up with something good!

Speaking of a sea of blue and carbon. I noticed you displayed a 420 of a friend of yours.. I have a 420x, TB evo8 and a Ta07 MSX if you wanted to show them on the channel..I could arrange something with you if you want...I believe your in the GTA and I could lend them for a day or two if your shooting video soon...Congrats on the update post on FB.
JMO since you don’t wanna do black on the 993 911GT2 I’d still go plane Jane but a bright yellow definitely would stand out among what you already have
I dreamed about this RC dakar car but with time, am I considering this car was more expensive competitors with a lot of plastic spare parts. But how the car was beautifull and believe effiscient on ground.

Nice Collection Glen, i had a 911 gt2 for a while. It had a yellow german post livery on it. I would go for a taisan starcard livery could do the tamiya one or there was even a red taisan livery which was used in the jtcc.
A wonderful collection...it's all about the daddy 959. Now you "just" need the Celica Grb to go next to it. Pretty sure that should be quite easy to find at a reasonable price ;-)
I still think the 911/959 tribute is your best custom to date. It's absolutely superb and the build videos were ace too.
Awesome collection Glenn. For the GT2 have you seen the Porsche 911 Gt2 Type 993 Krauss Race. Quite a wild/brave paint job, but looks very cool in its own way! You will just need alot of cans 🤣 Sorry. Hope you have a great christmas Glenn. All the best mate. Nick
My 1st choice would be Rothmans BUT look at to old 911 Rally pictures you have Belga or the very sharp white paint with Martini stickers is cool

If you google Porsche 7up and Porsch TicTac
They both have some lovely liveries
The 30th is on a TA05 belt driven chassis 230mm wheel base and is the only chassis that fits properly. The TA02 SW are 234mm and don’t fit the arches properly. You can get modified 3D printed rear arms.
MCI has a whole range of sticker sets for Porsche bodies, so many he has a separate section for them

As for where to put the line so u have white. Maybe bring that line down further than the bottom of the headlight and carry that across not up the fender. Use the shadow line from the picture on the box as a mid point?
For the gt2, how about the multi coloured red, blue, green, yellow & orange version used on a few different porches in a kind of benneton look. Obs a nightmare paint job!
No TT02 911 Carrera RSR? No DF01 Cayenne? No TB02 Carrera GT. And don’t for get the Tamtech Grear ones and the M0 releases too. Yes I know they aren’t limited releases but they should be in Tamiya Porsche fan’s collection😁 Great collection Glen, I’m really jealous that you have the Black Edition, it’s the one I’m missing but I can’t justify the prices that they are now😢

The 30th is belt driven and is really close to the trf415 chassis or also the ta05 but w the trf upgrades.

Didnt you have a Tt01 with a lot of upgrades porcshe too kicking about somewhere? :D You should try to get a 911 gt1 98 LM for your collection, it kinda represents another extreme with that f103rs chassis. :D Anyway, 30th and 40th anniversary cars, and the 959, do steal the show, everytime :D

I always loved the Martini livery, but not sure if that was ever on Porsches...? and I've seen the main body colour in grey sometimes or white.

Any idea where I can get a set of stickers for one of these 934s? I've got the shell and plastic body parts, but haven't been able to get any matching set of stickers :(
