Calling her out is the nicest thing anyone has done for her.
My friend just threw a lavish wedding (about 50k) when he and his wife were already 100k in debt from student loans alone. Now they are planning a baby. Im always in awe how this debt and reckless spending never stressed these people out. They should do a Netflex series on whats going on in the minds of these people
OMG RIGHT!! Know so many medical professionals that are deep in debt but plan a wedding in Turk and Caicos!!
Phone goes dead when George says to sell the truck.
Lmao!
Husband was on the other line LoL
The immaturity speaks volumes
Credit cards, expensive cars, student loans she doesn’t need, doesn’t know her own income or his, and IRS debt. It’s about as dumb as it gets. The question to ask people like this is “do you want to keep being an idiot and digging deeper and deeper, or do you want to grow up and be a little bit on top of your own life?”
My favourite, breeding a dumber version of themselves.
Jade went into “Jade Ramsey” mode here 😅. I like how she has grown in this role.
Jade was not having any of it. 🤣
My favorite on the show.
Yep, Jade is absolutely the most Dave-like of all the personalities, good combo with George
She's my new favorite Co host
I am a project manager working for a general contractor.
I drive a 2014 Honda Accord. I see lots of guys in the field that drive sedans…
Most people don’t really need trucks… it’s an ego thing..
I would say most of us don’t need them all of the time but most of us do need to move stuff. I have had to ask friends and relatives with trucks to do things for me. I inherited a pickup last year that I sold thinking I didn’t “need” it. Now I am trying to figure out how to move some stuff from another state to mine wishing I had one. Companies are quoting me thousands of dollars as if I was moving a household which I’m not. I have a small SUV and decided to pay $500 for a hitch plus installation. I plan drive down and rent a trailer which is much cheaper than renting a truck. I don’t have to book a flight and rent a car to bring my stuff back. I vote SUV (i buy mine used) and a hitch as the way to go.
Also a project manager for a GC. I drive a 2009 Nissan Altima coupe… believe it or not, when I fold the back seats down, I can slide 10’ 2x material in there. Granted I have to take all my tools out😅 it’s a bit too small haha, but it works. When I load up a ladder it hangs out the trunk too lol
I’m a PM and drive a Chevy Malibu lol but if you run your own business you most likely need your own truck. Regardless this guy needs to go be a PM or a super bc he’s not cutting it as a GC
@@briankelly7978 exactly. Hone in those skills and then take on being a GC when you’re ready. I will admit I do borrow the GC’s truck all the time for picking up material. Not to mention all the different trailers
I live alone and only make $3,600 a month after taxes and don't struggle like this. I say "only" because $3,600 might not seem like a lot to most people but I'm able to pay all of my bills and have an emergency fund as well.
Literally same. It’s the person, not the cash.
Yes. The thing that drives me crazy about the Ramsey Show is that they lose touch with the Middle Class. 5000 a month is good money in America. They should have been able to live fine on that
@@laurijohnson7754we don't look down on any class, we carry everyone along..
It depends a lot on your location. Some areas that can be pretty decent income
Awesome! LIVE BELOW YOUR MEANS! So many people in this country can’t or don’t want to do that!
Every "yes or no" question she was asked she provided a 2 minute backstory lol. Good luck getting Husband to sell his truck....thats not going to happen.
I don't understand young people today.
They have all kinds of family planning available, can take care of their business and banking with computers, have in home pregnancy tests and still have these problems?
How in the world did we ever manage to stay out of trouble with non of this available in the 60s???

This is hilariously irresponsible.
My wife and I bought our rings at Walmart. Sterling silver, and cubic zirconia ‘s. Whole wedding with the church, and food was $600. We refused to go into debt for a wedding. We knew we wanted to get married, and we knew our budget.
Smart.
$600 is good for food and wedding silver and CZ doesn't seem good for rings

First thing is to write all your debts down in order, second write down your income, third stop buying things, fourth pay off the debt, you're welcome.
Yup
Stop buying things should be first. Needless things that is.
@BREEZYM6015 well .....that's true too.
@@BREEZYM6015exactly! I am down to living on ~20k per year… I make around 75k after taxes… after paying off all debt in 2020, I continued saving and investing the amount that I was using towards paying off debt and now have a large 6 figure portfolio! It can be done!!
You NEVER not pay taxes. I hope he learned now how to do it quarterly
Jade called it. This couple absolutely was planning on getting another loan for her to continue going to school in 2024-25. They also will not want to sell any of their vehicles or do whatever else is necessary to get out of this hole. Why? Because they are still pretending they are not in a hole, so it's OK to keep digging. And now to cap it off, they decided to bring a baby into this mess.
Husband's work is slow because it's winter? You live in San Antonio TX!! I own property there and my contractors are BUSY nonstop.
This duo is fire 🔥 yes people need to be called out. This is a ton of debt and wait till baby comes!

A GC that can't even manage his own expenses! This is part of the reason a truck is $80k now.

People who put engagement rings on credit cards are not serious about their relationships or life

I love when Jade and George call a spade a spade
I would disagree she needs another job $7000 a month is a liveable wage they just need to stop spending
I’d bet my paycheck they aren’t actually making 7k most months and don’t track expenses so 7k is whatever money landed in their account without deducting taxes or expenses.
Still if they made even 4-5k month that’s a respectable income, but not with all that debt and bringing a kid into the world. They don’t sound like they want to sacrifice.
I think they’ll learn the hard way.
Anyone who says "ummmmmm" when asked how much revenue or profit the business is bringing in might indicate that the business isn't doing well. Those who are excited about their success want to know where they stand. When it isn't doing well, they are scared to know.
Jade knows she's being evasive, dodging accountability. The wife is as much to blame as her husband for their financial mess.
She's the only one who holds women accountable and doesn't handle them with baby gloves like the misogynists.
She called her out, and i love it!
She sums up the average American mindset around education and handling money!
Hahahahah they had to ask her so many times how much money they made . That killed me .
George: what is this degree going to do for you.
Caller: well nothing really...i'm just pretending it has something to do with my 'business'...blah blah blah...BUT...I get to take another loan out! And that's just exciting! FREE MONEY!
Then she’ll be crying for the taxpayers to pay off her student loans! 🤦♂️
So true!
When people say “businness, communication, psychology, sociology degree” etc etc it’s a dead give away they will never get a real career. My neighbor couple is a nurse and a plumber. They make actual money and have real jobs.😂

Greetings from Germany. Always shocked how much you guys are in debt in the US 🇩🇪
It shocks me too and I am from the states
@@creolelady182 who let these people buy those cars and trucks ???
Not all of us! These calls are from people who are extreme. but yes far too many people here go into insane amounts of debt. I am personally not in debt at all.
Different cultures. In Germany I hear credit cards aren’t a big thing, they prefer debit cards. Germans aren’t as materialistic I don’t think. Your average rent is $1000 meanwhile the US is double at $2000. Your cities and towns are more walkable bikeable, better public transportation and driving distances are less so you save there. Schooling and healthcare costs lower. Average take home of a German is $2853 and average take home of an American is around $3300. So while we may make a bit more on average our cost of living and way of living is more expensive. If you’re more than average though in the USA you can make a a lot more than in Germany and becoming a home owner is easier from what I’ve read. So there’s pros and cons.
Do all of you have to pay student loans?
Idk how else to say it, but she got roasted throughout this call😂😂😂
She may need to drop out of school since she just enrolled into the “School of Hard Knocks”.
NO. She only have a year left. And she already took out the loans.
Most rich people stay rich by spending like the poor and investing without stopping then most poor people stay poor by spending like the rich yet not investing like the rich but impressing them
Exactly! My grandparents were so frugal but they had a TON of money on both sides. I remember my grandfather telling me "you want to make money while you sleep." And I guess that attitude passed down to my dad (RIP), because I remember going to his house one day and I had bought something I really liked, so I wanted to show it to him. So I said "Look at this!
Isn't it cute? It was on sale...I saved 50%!" My dad replied "Well, if you're spending, you're not saving." Obviously I had no retort, and that has always stuck with me.

To the comment about "we are going to owe money to the IRS at the end of the year because we haven't been paying during the year" - pay it NOW! Don't wait until the end of the year. Penalties and interest accrue DAILY, so don't wait another day. Q1 payments were due middle of April so if you pay it now then you will only have penalties and interest for less than a month. But if you wait until next April you'll owe interest and penalties for a YEAR.
I’ve made quarterly payments late and I didn’t get penalized
@@laurijohnson7754 You only get penalized if the amount you owe is over $1000 and you don't meet one of the safe harbor provisions (you paid at least 90% of the tax owed for the current year, or 100% of the tax owed for the previous tax year).
Given that they are consistently paying >$5k per year at tax time, there is a very good chance that they are paying underpayment penalties.

I am I feel the only one that can at times 😂
They are an absolute financial mess. How are people this foolish.
Jade: Gotta call a spade a spade 😂🤐
Brilliant plan to have a child when they're in catastrophic debt. Great move!!!
Well we need to be honest that many don't even know when they sell just about anything or receive payment for something.....they have taxes to pay.....
These people go to school and they don’t know what their career will be. I have a new neighbor moved in next door. Wife is a nurse and husband is a plumber. Now that’s a real job. “Business communication leadership relationship degree” bluh bluh
I have a loan for the next 4.5 years but it's at 0% interest. Is it still advised to clear that off or should I just leave it there if it is not accumulating interest? From my perspective it makes more sense to just leave it there and invest the rest as inflation will eat away at some of that loan and I can make interest on the money that's invested. I would like to hear someone's opinion regarding this.
Wonder how old they are
Oh no! I have listened to too many of these calls. When Mr. Kamel said "When is the baby due?" (6:54) I thought he said "What does the baby do?" That is, what is that baby doing for a living and how much money is it bringing in? Like the kid needs to start working OT or something.
I stopped listening after the student loan debt...
I stopped on the IRS situation.
I agree with everything other than Jade saying the husband doesnt make enough on his business to qualify as a job. $5k a month is not bad for a slow month. He does need to make more though considering the taxes.
I own a business- they are in no position to run a business! Those incomes are side hustles- they need to get a real job!
I never understand complaining about the work truck tho, if its not creating extra value go out to Home Depot and find somebody who needs stuff taken to their house and offer to do it cheap to make a couple bucks and keep doing it, move things for people on one of the apps and pay the truck off.
what are the odds this person call back in a year and they are 200k in debt and she still doesnt know how much $$ she is paying herself?
