Beautifully written, presented and edited, as always, Will. Blimey, they don’t half make a lot, don’t they? I’m naturally delighted to see the bit I’m in represented - and in the Top Ten. But the principle resource of this video, for someone like me - who knows televised Doctor Who very well, but knows next to nothing about its audio drama - is to have a shrewd and judicious guide to navigate a way through the vastness of the ocean. Contemplating even just one year of the output is like being plugged into the Total Perspective Vortex! On your recommendation though, I’ll definitely be getting hold of The War Doctor Begins! 👌😁
Great stuff Mr TARDIS, as one of those fans who has gravitated more towards the audio than the TV show for a few years at this point I think you did a wonderful job suggesting entry points. My dream video from you is just a two hour video where you gush about Jubilee the whole time lol.

A couple places to check if you're on a budget. One: Spotify has the first fifty monthly adventures plus a few other ranges available for free. Two: Check your local library and if they don't have any, see if they have an inter-library loan program that might be able to acquire copies from other library systems.
Hello Mr Tardis Happy Easter another essential video for Dr Who fiends Big Finish has 20 years of back Stories I didn't know where to start this is eggcellent also Your editing skills keeps on improving big hugs
While I think 2021 was stronger, we still had plenty of decent work this year with the Charlotte Pollard Further Adventures, Old Friends, The Nine, and the Sixth Doctor releases. I'm certainly interested to see where Big finish will go next.
I would absolutely recommend The Last Centurion Volume 2, especially if you're a fan of Rory. A slightly more comedic tone than Doctor Who, but the chemistry that Lancelot and Rory have together is amazing.
To fair to Forty. Randomly referencing the 2nd Doctor era for no good reason is very authentic to the JNT era. And it seems the main lesson we should take from this video and year as a whole is that Katy Manning is adorable and should play over the top villains more often!
I really do love Jacob Dudman's version of the 11th Doctor. I can actually visualise 11's body language as if it were Matt Smith on the screen. Also, using the respective title sequence in the background is really cool, and definitely helps the video feel more dynamic than your previous older BF reviews which just feature the cover art. Although, I will say that I think the RTD title sequence makes my eyes tire out with its fast visuals, especially with how long it lasted on screen. Otherwise, the video is fantastic. I love this format and I do hope you make more in the future.
Finally got around to watching the entire video, and just wanted to say thank you! I held out for a while since I wanted to catch-up on the sets I already had waiting, before being tempted to get more lol.. And I was right, since as always your reviews made me want to listen to so much haha. I just ordered 3 new boxsets, all from your top 10, and can't wait to listen to them :D This was seriously amazingly researched, edited and very well spoken as always! BF def made the right call by starting to send you review-copies, cause I swear your reviews sell me on boxsets better than any of their marketing lol.. And It's always nice to hear a fellow whovian's opinion, regardless of buying the actual set. Basically, I know I'm in a minority with this, but your BF reviews are always my favorite part of the livestreams - And I hope you continue to make this type of retrospective for years to come :)
The thing about Doctor of War is that it was meddled with by the BBC, and was cut short. I really enjoyed the Doctor of War sets, but you can feel the meddling. Like in Destiny, the Key to Key to Time should've been an entire boxset to itself, it feels like it wasn't thought through. But damn it, if I don't love them (except for the difference office)
I listened to all of Stranded and its honestly not bad. Its confusing at times but thats to be expected as there is a lot of timey wimey stuff going on.
I haven’t got to the 9th doctors second series on big finish but my main problem with him on audio is he doesn’t have those moments in Tv where he gets angry or really passionate for me. There’s no ending of Dalek or even that speech in rose he just feels more goofy.
The Hand of Fear came before The Deadly Assassin. You must mean that Solo takes place between The Deadly Assassin and The Face of Evil. Also, It's The Ribos OPERATION, not experiment.
The Master’s plan in “Dark Water” and “Death in Heaven” explained. Step 1: acquire a Nethersphere Step 2: download minds of people across time and space into it. Step 3: convert corpses into Cybermen. Step 4: connect the consciousness of the individuals trapped in the Nethersphere to their body so that they will press the Delete button taking away their emotions. Step 5: download upgraded consciousness back into their cyber-converted bodies. Step 6: activate rainfall that will convert the dead into Cybermen. Step 7: blackmail the Doctor with another set of rainfall that will convert the living as well unless he takes her army of Cybermen and leads them. Step 8: become friends with the Doctor again.
As far as some of the sets you missed: Stranded 4 - very good ending to the saga, though the ending with Liv felt like a bit of a cheap move Charlotte Pollard - I love the 8 and Charley dynamic from their early audios but this did not hit the same levels for me, I thought it was bland and forgettable Emancipation of the Daleks/Watchers - both very solid audio novels though they do drag on a bit towards the end. Emancipation had a great idea for the Daleks that kind of gets forgotten about in it's second half Lone Centurion - it's alright but it is one of those "why? Why not?" box sets Short Trips vol 12- mostly good with Rearguard and Threshold being must listen short stories
As someone who got into BigFinish last year all I got to say is make the jump and listen for any doctor who fan it’s a must!

Hello! Well done on this video, it's great!
Late to this video, but kinda new to big finish, although 17 box sets in already (god there’s a lot). Appreciated the light DBZA reference lol

I listened to the fourth doctor stuff this week just for this!
Master Nemesis Express was the best release of last year for me, and Blood and Steel was great was well. Great video.

I wish, it would have been great!

Exciting. I have yet to enjoy Big Finish and this gives me pointers about when and where to start. Thank You for Being

Personally I decided each year I would buy all the (number) Doctor adventures sets and I’m glad I did
Great video yet again, Mr. Tardis! Thanks so much for your efforts.

Great video, now it's time for you to dive into the 8th doctor stuff

That was a Tennant thing.

I love the Dragon Ball Z reference/clip 😂
I just got into big finish what kind of storys should I take out

Sorry for the mix-ups. By the time I had spotted the mistakes, it was too late to re-render and correct them.

Does the seventh doctor shout take that at bins if he also hates them
Holaa
👍
Where are all these box sets with the 10th doctor I don't see them on the site and I'm actually talking about the rule doctor not impersonator
Find one he’s in, go to cast, click David tennant, you’ll see everything David tennant is in
Cannot stand 6
Have you given his audios a chance? He’s a lot better than in the show
