I think Skinner only punishes Bart becuase of him breaking rules, not because he dislikes him. He's nice to Bart outside of school, maybe because he was the person Skinner wanted to be.
I hope they keep writing episodes like Road to Cincinatti or Game Done Changed where Bart still is a stone in Skinner shoe but Bart actually trying to get him out of what he believes is a miserable life
What I like most about Seymour is (for the most part anyway) he is one of the few characters on The Simpsons who will stick to his morals. I mean he actually cares about the school and the children and he isn't mean for the sake of it, only when someone really annoys him
I personally wouldn't have minded the "Armin," plot twist had the writers started leaving hints/clues that Skinner wasn't as he appeared in earlier seasons. It would have been great had it been planned from the start. Also I love the idea of Skinner being an, "young rebel," drawing further parallels between him and Bart. So different yet so alike. I do find it fitting though that both Seymour and Bart died together in an manner of speaking.

Too many it was an, "jumping the shark," episode to me had Skinner been alluded to from the start as an imposter or at least hinted at in a season or two before hand the Principal and the Pauper episode would have been so much better and enjoyed both the staff and the audience in my opinion. Also it would have been better to show the "real Seymour," Get fed up with the wackiness of Springfield and just walk away angry giving the Seymour we know and love his life back and just go out on his own far away from Springfield thus returning the status quo that the Simpsons love so much. Haha.. Sorry for the long response that's how I would have personally would have went about it.
The episode showing Skinner having a heart attack at 119 kind of helped explain the extreme ages of Mr Burns, Grandpa, etc. I took it as a fact that Springfielders live well into their 100s on a regular basis (unless killed by runaway wheelchairs).

As much as I'm happy that Edna found true love with Ned before the character's passing, I still think she should've been with Seymour. They were adorable and Grade School Confidential is STILL my favourite episode to this day (I just have a bias for Edna-centric episodes, she's my fave!) Edna broke the status quo of the show on several occasions, she should've been the woman who helped Seymour become an independent man. Their proposal/wedding episodes would have been so much better if Seymour wasn't written to be such a coward in them. Edna seemed to bring out his boldness, meanwhile Agnes just crushed it back down. :(
To me, Grade School Confidential should have been Edna's final character arc. It would have been her natural and perfect ending. People can like and support Modern Simpsons all they want, but if the show ended after season 8 or 9, she would still now be ALIVE and happy ever after. NOTHING will change my mind about that.

I hear often that the Armen Tamzerian reveal ruined the character of Skinner but I disagree, I think it not only adds to his character, but shows his character that he was unable to tell Agnes that her son was dead, and chose to try to keep the remaining years of her life happy

I'll believe Armin Tamzarin is the alternate life Seymour Skinner lead as a way with coping with his overbearing and controlling mother, while the "real" Seymour Skinner is actually someone else entirely and had actually agreed to take over Seymour Skinner's life back in Vietnam once their service in the militsry was over so Seymour Skinner could fully live his life as Armin Tamzarin while his replacement could finally have the life he always wanted: An overbearing but at least somewhat still loving mother and a career as a principal in an interesting and chaotic, but pretty overall peaceful town.
I love when superintendent Chalmers is worried at times about skinner. Like in the episode about the rat in barts group and the coke and mentos explosion

There is a scene where the army needs to look up the radio frequency of the taxi that 4 of thje main characters (including Azaria) are in. The owner of that cab is revealed to be A.Tamzarian

I just realized, Sideshow Bob wasn't able to kill Bart, Skinner did. Also I just noticed a goof, Professor Frink mentions that Bart was supposed to die at aged 83 in the episode "Future-Drama", but in "Flanders' Ladder", he dies at aged 80.

Some one should do a video on the Simpsons time line being a quantum superposition of all possible pasts, presents, and futures. That explains why you can have contradictory events. I have never seen of the major Simpson themed channels do it. Skinner is both Seymour and Arman until you actually "look" at his past. By look I mean you put him in a story where his past is in the story.

Honestly, I kind a like the episode we’re feeling Seymour Skinner isn’t he says he has. Because it shows a very interesting aspect of his character that he’s willing to put his own life on hold for 25 years and take over someone else’s place just because he doesn’t have the heart to tell an old woman that her son died.

I liked it too it's a pity the wiped the slate and most fans hated it it gave his character an interesting backstory one I preferred to the retconned one
I think there's a part of his past we missed where he probably got knocked unconscious lost his memory and forgot he was Seymour Skinner a another person saw this stole his identity claiming to be him both joined the army at the same time and just so happened to end up being in the same place and And basically the event of when supposedly see more as a fake it's revealed it's actually the truth but just him not realizing he lost his memory

I think there's a part of his past we missed where he probably got knocked unconscious lost his memory and forgot he was Seymour Skinner a another person saw this stole his identity claiming to be him both joined the army at the same time and just so happened to end up being in the same place and And basically the event of when supposedly see more as a fake it's revealed it's actually the truth but just him not realizing he lost his memory

I feel bad for skinner's life well at home because if you think about it most of his life has been boring , he's been trapped in a pool of worms ruining him ,barts got him fired (but got him back ) super intenent charmers has hated him and lot worse has happened (poor guy ) :(
