I've been liking what I'm seeing from the Micro Galaxy collection so far. It's the combination of the scale and the price that is the winner for me. They don't take up too much space and are quite affordable, especially the smaller vehicles. So far I have picked up the Falcon, Luke's X-Wing, Vader's Tie, standard Tie and the AT-ST. I'm gonna mainly stick with original trilogy vehicles. Great review, Michael 🏆🏅
A random stop to Target today resulted me in picking this up! I had no idea these were a thing, but something about this was very nostalgic for me, and I had to get it. I don't own a Millennium Falcon and this is definitely a must have, I think! The detail is amazing, and I love the tiny figures haha. Scanned the barcode with the Target app and was surprised it was only 24.99 - a no brainer at that price point 👍
Always loved this scale as a kid. The action fleet line was great for vehicle play. Had the micro machines Falcon but it kind of ended up more like a carrying case/playset than an actual vehicle.
Think about how many parents from the late 80s and early 90s who threw out all those G1 transformers or Star Wars toys, or sold them for a nickel each. Breaks my mind.
Well this takes me back, well I am a lot younger than most watching this channel but still I grew up on star Wars model kits which were the only toys available in one of the shops near my childhood home
Right now I'm loving the Star Wars Mission Fleet line. It's not a micro line but it's Hasbro's "kid" line. Part of the reason I love these figures is that they are perfectly scaled to the interiors of my Galaxy's Edge Big Millennium Falcon. They can fit through the interior doors, sit on the couch, actually hide in the smuggler compartments, use the ramp etc.
Awesome review. Just got this recently from Amazon at I think about $45 usd now. The version I got is a bit different now. It has a tiny ribbon in the battery compartment and it goes under the batteries so that battery replacement is made easier. Another difference are the chairs at the cockpit. It now has arm rests, i guess to make the action figure more secure in the chair. Although it makes it a bit harder to put the action figures into the chair.
this is a nod back to the Micro Machines/Action Fleet Line of Star Wars vehicles and I'm honestly loving it! Side note: I agree with Michael; the weathering is shoddy and not in scale with the vehicle. A cloth with Isopropyl Alcohol gets rid of the stains left behind and leaves the wash deep in the crevices which, to me, feels more accurate. Took me all of 15 minutes to do and it looks SO much better
I have this same model. I got it for Christmas this last year. I definitely remember having the original Micros from the 90s myself. Sadly I got rid of my old ones. Stupid kid move I know. Just a tip that was missed in the video. If you hold down the activation switch it will after it’s turned on, the hyperdrive sound effects will engage.
I have memories of having a set of Micromachines and Penny Racers. The scale of this Millenium Falcon function both as a vehicle and a playset simultaneously. I am amazed at how much detail they can squeeze in. Also, some MOTU nano-scaled toys are just as impressive in appearance and playability.
You will find however since you also are a Canadian we do not have much access to these....slightly cheaper at Walmart but they dont get much stock....toys r us generally get a little better selection I didn't recognize that store you mentioned I'm in Ontario you can find some on like loblaw or the bay etc marketplace but generally ya gotta make a trip SOUTH OF THE BORDER which is my plan end of the month....biggest thing I had to do was....paint a jengo ship to match bobas cause we dont seem to have access to bobas but you can find some jengo ships anyhow enjoy
I am not planning on collecting these but I ordered the MF just because of the quality of the mold and details. Truly an epic job! I had two original MFs as a kid and it's one of my favs.
I had one of the big Falcon models maybe the original. It was pretty big. I did everything I could to make it look as authentic as possible. Then...I began making...modifications. The kind of modifications that even Sidius would frown upon.
I picked this up the other day myself. My only complaint was the lower gun too, however I figure that's more a safely thing so it doesn't break off if kids are playing with it with landing struts up.
Love my Jazwares Falcon, I've bought everything but the chases and the very latest ships. I really love this toy line and the small ships are so jewel like I had to buy 3 tie fighters, these are perfect to army build! I hope they do the Tantive ship with interior. Just a little bigger than the Falcon it would be perfect! Great video!
Looking forward to seeing the comparison video. I had a whole bunch of the micro machine ships and if these scale with them, I hope they do ships for the later series too.
Incredible video review. It's clear that you are into the details of Star Wars. I am as well and couldn't have given a more complete analysis of this toy. I own a nice chunk of this new Micro Galaxy Squadron and I have nearly completed the Galoob Action Fleet as well and Jazware's product, imo, is far superior in every way. Make no mistake, the Action Fleet is a dominate force in the legacy of Star Wars toys ever made. But this new collection is so amazing with scale and details, I get to actually fall in love with toy collecting all over again. I've subbed and look forward to the next review.💪😷💯🔥🔥🔥
You can order from Walmart now, a multi-pack, two TIE Fighters with the Millennium Falcon. Han, Chew, Leia, Luke, and two TIE pilots, Escape from the Death Star. A canyon run, is suppose to be coming out soon.
How on earth do you get all the figures in the seat? I have one and it’s really hard to put them in, i would really like a tutorial if you can. It would warrant a sub! 😊
Aaand sold! I'm not really a Star Wars fan past the first couple movies but still love those two enough to have the big MF in my collection. The solicitations for these looked genuinely bad so I wrote them off, yet the final product looks great for what it is, and $25 US on Amazon is a seriously good deal. Add an X-Wing, maybe some Snowspeeders and the Slave-1, and these will be all the Star Wars I need for my collection :)
I would probably get two of these. One to display in landed mode and a second one to display in flight mode. I could probably figure out a way to display the second one in flight mode.
That paint wash is very similar to the Ihome bluetooth speaker I have. I also think the charcoal looking wash is too much. That's a perfect size though I'm so tempted to at least get an X-Wing but I know that's a slippery slope! I also have the Titanium Falcon that's similar to this size and prefer that ships paint.
I've been getting some iconic vehicals for my collection; Ecto 1, The Delorean, Thunderbird 2, ED 209 etc... This would be perfect for the display. Does anyone know if the 'headlights' work for it? Those little holes look like they could take leds.
Mixed feelings on this. On the one hand - I like that they're doing the line, and the Falcon is a good effort, but for me it's so close to what I'd want from a perfect small scale Falcon yet misses the mark in too many places. I'm not a lights and sounds person, so I would have taken that feature out and created more internal space with a couple more movie-related play areas / features. I would have put the top cannon in the center and made the seat in the middle a double one with a cannon on the bottom, but to do that the vehicle would have to have been ever so slightly larger, and need a lower landing gear (the landing gear it has is finicky). So close to being my personal version of perfect. It's probably the best Micro Falcon they've made yet (even though I love the Kenner one...). Suggestion: Rather than close the ramp on the bottom until he clips 'click' - just push it til they're almost closed - there's a gap, but it'll save them from inevitably snapping. The X-Wing looks ok, but a little plasticky, but the Tie Fighters look great, as do the mini figures. Happy for the line. This scale - just like the 90's Action Fleet line - is about perfect for the sweet spot of detail, playability, and practicality if you have limited space - the perfect 'office' sized Star Wars vehicles. Looking forward to the Landspeeder...
I really like this line but.... They are a hair shorter than the diaclone, action fleet, the buzz light-year figures and the star wars transformers crossover figure, and the smallest GI Joes. Witch all fit in scale together. And ...there too big to fit with older galoob figures. Still great pieces for my collection.
I've seen this one where I live selling at around $54 USD, which personally I find a bit overpriced (especially so during these hard times we're currently going through, money is pretty tight these days), but I must concede that this is fairly good for the scale. I agree this would have been even better if a farmer Luke mini figure was included as well; hopefully they're saving it (along with Artoo and Threepio) for a future Landspeeder release. As always, thanks for the effort of giving us who can't a closer look at these items, Michael.
Hi Micheal I'm really looking forward to watching The Comparison Video of the Star Wars Millennium Falcon later on this year, also Great but superb video Micheal keep them coming, also The Star Wars Micro Galaxy Millennium Falcon was not only incredible but also outstanding, also Star Wars Micro Galaxy of the 1990's is still one of my favorite toys of the year 2022, also thanks for sharing Micheal keep up the superb work, have a nice day, have A Holly Joll🙂👍y Christmas, have a Happy New Year, May The Force be With You and Nerdmaste Nerdmaste.🙂👍🟢🦸💪🇺🇲🤩🤛👏✌️😎😃🇺🇲🇨🇦🥳😊
FYI - Amazon has the Falcon for around $25 (50% off).
Wow, great deal! Thanks for giving everyone the heads up.
Walmart in my area has it at that price, too.
@@MichaelMercy Hello! What's up with armchair directors channel? Tnx for answering, greetings from Europe :)
Nuts, must be US only.
There was an amazon sale over the weekend on select star wars, B2G1 free, so i got 3 of these falcons for $50 total...
Yes, pays to read directions :) I designed in an easter egg. Cycle the hyper drive button 4x and you get a hyper drive fail sound...
Micro machines were just ahead of my time so I’m really glad to see them do a upgrade even though the old ones don’t get too crazy with prices on ebay

Thank you. Agreed, the best bang for your buck, and great way to have a fleet without breaking the bank or taking up a whole wall.

You can never have too many M. Falcons ….I wish I had all my toys from the 80s

I’m loving this series, I picked up an X-Wing, a Tie Fighter and the Razor Crest and they are super nice! ❤🙏🏽👍🏽
Well this takes me back, well I am a lot younger than most watching this channel but still

I bought two of each one , one set to keep in the sealed boxes and the other ones to swoosh play with my kids .💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I appreciate my vintage Kenner micro w the Lando top hatch. I always want the top hatch.

Quick question, is there a trick to be able to get the bottom battery back out again?
They remind me of the old action fleets that were around in the late 90s early 2000s. Only a little more updated

Outstanding video, that little falcon is really neat. I got my son one. That is an awesome room you have there. I would never leave.
Thank you. Hope he has lots of fun with it!

I’ve been debating picking this up. It looks great!
I've always loved the mini Star Wars vehicles
Me too!
The ramp does work 😊
That is sorely tempting if I could find one in UK or Europe as have limited space but that would be a cool shelf/geek piece to have.
I picked this up the other day myself.
My only complaint was the lower gun too, however I figure that's more a safely thing so it doesn't break off if kids are playing with it with landing struts up.
Have to say this is a cool line. I am tempted.
Nice review! I saw this in person yesterday, it is very cool indeed.
Thanks! Definitely strong in the OT force.

The Star Wars miniature game has some of the smaller capital ships people can use for their collection.

Id like to see a side by side with the Solo falcon
I REALLY hope they make an outrider from shadows of the empire in this line. It never did get its due

Cool.

Finally took the plunge and bought this 13.00$ at target with a tiny ding in box
How long do the light stay on if you just leave it alone
