Shotkam sporting clays summer league 6 19 24

Summer league sporting clays at Westford Sportsmen's Club. Before we could shoot though, we had to unload a trailer truck full of clay pigeons. TONS of clay pigeons. Did I mention it was during the first heat wave of 2024?
Sorry, I'm whining...
My goal for today's shooting was to formulate a plan for each station, BEFORE I stepped into the box and to stick with that plan throughout the station, no matter the results. That plan was to pick a method, defaulting to pull-away, and a kill point, and a place to pick up the second target. That lasted 2 stations, then I started trying to think about lead when the bird was flying, and that spells doom.
Still, sticking it out through 2 stations (16 targets), is a decent start for a guy who regularly forgets, on his way down the stairs, why he is going down stairs. I actually kept pace with Ross for the first couple stations. Then we hit station #5...
I would have bet money that I was shooting pull away on the first station (station #2), but I was clearly shooting sustained.
