This is the best WLED presets tutorial on TH-cam. All the other videos have a couple pixels or strips laying on a desk. The camera showing real time changes to the house is perfect! I'd love to see you do a tutorial on segments. I can not get mine to work.
Great refresher video, thank you. Its my first year with my lights and neighbours are just awestruck. Keep up the great work explaining Aircookies freeware :)
Awesome video. Thank you so much. I followed the instructions to create few presets on LED strips. It working BUT when I am disconnecting the ESP and connect again I dont see my presets... What do I need to do in order to save the segments and presets?
I understand how to make presets, but when I change to the preset I want, in the morning I see that it goes back to what it was prior. How do I make it stick?
I have a customer that runs 3 controllers synced together and doesn't seem to have any issues. If he makes lots of fast changes sometimes one of the controllers will miss the command.
bro which hardware u r used in? am using esp8266 moduke, but am facing an issue that ui not respont after 10 minutes, then need to connect the device will restart. how fix this
@@showhomelighting5840 I was trying to make solid, stationery colours but in the end used Chase 3 as suggested, changed the colours to what i wanted and saved it as a new preset, thanks.
You mentioned your controller was in the middle of your string. Where/how did you tell it you wanted the 1st LED to be the very left hand side of your house? Great tutorials, thanks!
Hey thanks! By default the lights will always go away from the controller. So if I wanted it to go from the left side of the house to the right I'd go to the LED prefences and check the "reverse rotate 180deg" box on the output that I want flipped. If you watch my videos on segments or the video on setting up your LED outputs I go through it in more detail on there.
how do I have smoother transitions with my presets? I'm trying to create a stairs animation, wherein it would light up the steps one by one, from the first step, to the last step. I did this by using a playlist with presets: 1st preset - 60 leds lit up 2nd preset - 120 leds lit up 3rd preset - 180 leds lit up so on... the playlist works as expected, but the transition value is not being applied, and the transition from one preset to another preseit is instant. EXPACTATIONS: since i set the transition state to 2, the transition of the leds from one preset to another preset will take 2 seconds. It will have the same transition behaviour when the led's effect is solid, and the color is changed. GOT: the preset transition is instant, i.e. the leds turn on instantly. my hardware: i am using a WLED flashed controller with esp8266 led strip is a WS2811 power supply provides 12V 5a any help, info, suggestions regarding this would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
Excellent video. Easiest to follow that I've found. I agree with others, having the camera on your house really helps b

Really appreciate the comment, I should have my segment video up before the weekend. Let me know if it helps you out. Thanks!

Thanks, WLED is great!
Thank you for this. WLED is not that intuitive on it's own. I just set up a 4 panel 1024 pixel matrix and this helped me out in the next step so much.
Gr8 Job Keep It Up 👍👍👍👌👌
Thank you, I will.
May i setting welcome for "on" at beginning light is on
Do you have a video showing how to have a leaping effect from one arch to another?
I have not, I'd like to do it though and I'm pretty sure there are lots of great wled videos out there that show how to do it.
how to add two more controls?

Your presets were saved before you disconnect your controller? Then were gone when you powered it back up? What are you using for a controller?
Thanks, that's very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!

That's strange, does it always go back to the same thing?
how does the software handle multiple esp32's ? as in 1 on house and 1 on garage.

What LED’s are you using?

how fix this
Hey, sorry for late response. I'm using an Esp 32 16mb chip on my own custom built controller. Thanks!
Can you please add more detail about how to have 3 or 4 colours at the same time? I only seem to be able to create a preset with one colour, thanks.
are you trying to make just solid colors? or moving effect like chase 3? Chase 3 will let you select 3 different colors.

Which controller are you using with WLED?
showhomelighting.com/products/shl-12v-led-controller
It's our own custom esp32 controller.
I am unable to save my presets, keep getting an error message. Any ideas?
It's hard to say what's causing it. I would just do an OTA update with the same version you are already running and sometimes that will fix the bug.

I believe there is a wled user mod for this if you search for it on google you might be able to find it. It take a bit of knowhow to setup for sure.
