    Nice that you included all the setup process and discussion! At that output level you xan even think of going down one size pulley on the motor tbh.

    Great video as always! Helidirect is now selling a kit to convert the SAB RAW 420 to a motor and belt setup just like this heli's motor setup. Go figure

      Thank you sir for the kind words and yea go figure indeed. Funny we was only saying today about how quiet it is compared to the RAW 420. Not condoning SAB helis at all but funny how a heli half the price looks and flies just as well as our regular bigger market heli’s. How many SAB fliers will buy cheaper ALZ parts to repair damage to they’re SAB heli’s? I bet a few will but will never admit it 😂

    This is a raw Inspiration…. Pun intended

    It seems a solid model. It has RcHelicopterRichard stamp of approval, so, what else could you want? 😁. Spares availability seems good. There's plenty of spares from the same place you can buy the heli from. Besides, it is extremely simple mechanically, as in, it has a low part count. That translates in less parts to break in a crash, which means simple and cheap repairs. As for the design itself, it sure is inspired in the SAB Raw 420, but this has an indirect drive, which makes a lot more sense to me - you can choose the motor kv and the gear ratio to suit your particular flying style, instead of just making your esc work overtime, and have the motor bog when you run less than astronomical headspeeds. In short, my next buy for sure. Thank you all for the awesome video.

    What servo arm length you using? Is this bird nose heavy?

      I’ll have to speak to RC Helicopter Rich about it because he set it up using his Mikado radio via the Neo FBL unit

    Nice heli! I have the same heli and same servos as you from what I can see from the video but can you tell me how you got the two forward servos in the servo holder
    It seems impossible for servo wire to pass into the servo holder so I had to dismantle the servo then enter it into 5he servo holder and then screw the servo back together again
    (Not exactly dismantle the servo but take the back off then put the easer o in and then screw the 4 screws back in😢)

      @nickhammond ปีที่แล้ว

      I installed the servos into the servo mount, and then installed the servo mount into the airframe

      @@nickhammond okay, I was unable to get the servo wire to enter into the servo holder

    Aside from obvious differences with this not being direct drive how 1:1 is it? Mainly thinking from a spare parts PoV and getting SAB parts locally for it, love look of the raws but man there expensive

      The main head is the same, as I had to added some SAB R420 shims to remove some play that developed after a few flights (it is mentioned in the manual that this can occur due to components settling in). The tail rotor looks to be the same, as does the boom. I’ve even measured up and it looks like the SAB canopy and skids are also a direct swap. The battery trays are also compatible (although may need a little polishing to fit nice and smoothly)

      @@nickhammond sounds like a good alternative to the 420 then, while being about as cheap as a 380 sized heli

    Hi once again just to say I love what you do on your channel you have some great ideas making a great job of them, much to say they all look fantastic. I just would like let you know I have done some research into you wibbly wobbly problems and it appears it is the same as aircraft you most likely know this power to weight ratio and maybe you model is on the border line. By Improving the models with a better and stronger idea which I like is pushing the weight up to high thus losses the power to weight ratio. I don’t know on a helicopter you would achieve a higher ratio maybe a bigger motor or different blades. It seems to me that the power to weight ratio should be able to support the helicopter right through the power range. I say this because watching your video when you gave it full power it was much better and when you dropped the power back a bit the helicopter began to wobble. I don’t mean to offend you with this message in any way but as you know power to weight ratio is very important. All the best to you. I watch all your videos and I have subscribe to your channel.
