I’m glad to see luxury items being worn. It’s like seeing a Lamborghini with more than 60k miles. They had the mentality of “I spent too much money not to use the damn thing”. Awesome restoration.
I like to think these belong to some boss babe diva who bought them for herself on her new promotion. And they got worn down from doing boss things and sometimes got kicked off on the way home abs carried into the house instead of worn.

@@viviane_casella babe probably walked to like 5 places in close range from each other. They are made with paint instead of a rubber sole, this is actually pretty minimal damage hon.
We need to see like the owner's reaction to the end product...that would be great.

out of curiosity, how much do you charge for such an intensive repair?
I take pretty good care of all of mine (I probably have 8 pairs and this exact same pair was my first I ever purchased) and my Vibram soles are about $35 a pair to put on. They do a polish for free at the same time so they stay nice. I baby mine and haven't ever had a repair like this thankfully, but can guess these were about $150 depending on where you take them/which part of the country you live in. I only know because I saw a pair that needed repairs like this at the shop and asked about how much they'd cost for them to repair such badly damaged heels and that was their estimate. It hurt to see these heels like this! I'm sure she had great times in them, but a little care would go a long way to keep them nice! I will say this: ALWAYS use "Solemates High Heel Protectors". They are AMAZING! You can put them on the heel tips, (they come in various colors but I normally use clear) and they stop you from sinking in grass or getting them ruined when walking on sidewalks.😊 It's so hard not to wear them right away when you get them, but if you can take them to get Vibram soles from the beginning, it'll save you a LOT of money down the line and keep them nice!
I can't imagine anyone not taking care of such a pair of shoes. I met my future husband on our first date in a black pair of Louboutins and I take care of them almost religiously to this day. I call them my "Lucky Heels."

I wore a pair of Steve maddens into the ground in high-school. They were a Christmas gift from my parents. 900 dollar shoes I wore them all the time even after they were unwearbearable. I still have them.

No. The seam bugs a lot of people. I watched another video of his and he said he forgot to show the part where he fixes it. Came here to see if he does it on every pair of if he actually forgot to show it. I don't really care either way but was curious.

Everyone charges different, in my area, a full restoration like this would be around 150-200$
Really depends on cobbler. My guess is, for general restoration and surface treatment, ~$100 is no usually no escape. But for serious structural repairs, expect the cost to be higher ($300+).

Yeeesh those look trashed. Who ever owned these bad boys loved them to death. I love these restorations. Perfect lockdown show. Need me some of that glue.
Put a piece of paper tape across, mark it with a straight line, cut across, remove the tape from the side where you want to remove the sole material, then use the cutter to slice the material to that edge so you don't have to sand all the way in, then add some more tape to that line, so you can sand close but without danger of messing the finish on the side where you want to leave it clean. That way, at 4:57 there's no lip that can get caught and have the rubber messed up. The rubber and the original sole should be at the same level. It's kinda like cutting the corner off the heel so that it doesn't catch or when you do half and halfs and there's leather and rubber. You always inset the rubber into the leather.
How old are the shoes? How much would new pair cost? What was charge to fix them? Great job!

Nice to see how simple a shoe restoration really is but sad to see that some women will pay high prices for cheaply made materials that shred apart so easily. I have heals that are of similar height that I’ve had for over 15 years and use to wear daily. they’re still in close to mint condition only paid $20 for them at Deb

A good place to check is a thrift store like Goodwill. Of course, local places usually have gems in them too :) I’ve gotten $800 skis for about $10 or so dollars at garage sales and stuff. Sometimes you can even find them brand new :)
