Thank You so much for efforts to add clarity and insight into this topic related to the Congdons. You have done a beautiful job with your extensive research. We appreciate you! Keep them coming!

This was soooo good, thank you! I am from MN and growing up we would visit Duluth and had heard some of the story. But I was never able to find anything even close to the details that were in the video. If you are ever able to visit Duluth and Glensheen,do it. It is one of the most beautiful areas ever!!

I just finished first part and am here for the second part. You do an excellent job of orating this story. You do not speak too fast and your speech is clear and concise. Good job!!

Speaking as a Minnesotan, this story is not as well known as it should be, as the Congdons were major players in the economy of the region at the time. Glensheen Mansion is absolutely beautiful! Like stepping back in time. Perfectly preserved. If you’re ever in MN, I highly recommend the tour. The guides are not allowed to discuss the murder, for obvious reasons. The book “Will to Murder” is a very well researched book on the family’s history and the murders. Thank you for taking the time and effort to research and discuss this case! ❤

It isn't well known because when the family gifted it to UMD the family said that they couldn't share the story because it made them look like a bad family.

Great story telling. That woman is crazy. Needs to be a documentary or mini-series on this story!

There probably will be after she's dead. Nobody wants her to get any money for the story of her own craziness.
Sad part is she's too stupid to know that if she wrote a memoir about her own life & was brutally honest, that allot of ppl would probably buy it to read & she would make money. Simply bcuz so much of her life that's public knowledge is just so outrageous that ppl are too curious to know what makes a mind like hers tick. And what better way to find out but none other than from the sociopath herself?! LOL

I think Elizabeth feared her from the time she started exhibiting the strange behaviors. Marjorie is an absolute sociopath/psychopath and how does one deal with a child like that?
Poor Velma 🥺 She died a horrible death.

So interesting….you did a great job. We recently visited Glensheen Mansion on a trip to the northern coast of Lake Superior. Had to be an exquisite home back in those days. Still berry impressive.

It’s actually the most original mansion in the US. It really is stunning

Hi Lindsey. You do such a good job telling this story and I appreciate the hard work leading up to getting the story uploaded. There’s one thing that bothers me and that’s the “uptalk” where your voice spikes up at certain points. I believe this was a trend that began in the ‘80’s with the California Valley Girls. But I so appreciate that your speech is free of ums and ahs. Keep up the good work, there’s always room for improvement.

Great vid!! At the risk of dating myself, I don't believe we had 911 in 1977!! We used to dial '0' for the operator. LOL. I was told many years ago that Duluth detectives staked out Roger & Marjorie's PO box in Colorado waiting for the coin that was mailed from MN.

The mansion is seriously like Downton Abby if you ever go through it. It would be interesting if ever her natural parents could be traced to see their backgrounds.

That's what I was thinking. Her descendants should go on finding your roots and find out if Elizabeth was their mother or if both Margorie and Jennifer were biological sisters.

Is Marjorie still alive? She was as of 2020. Can't believe she's not been given a Netflix documentary series treatment.

As far as I’m aware she’s still alive, and I’m sure they will make some tv show about her! It’s too crazy not to

@@lindseyolson4 - Marj has been living a recluse-like life in Arizona since that final prison term she served, dodging reporters at every turn. She's clearly a sociopath which makes her fascinating from a psychology perspective. Perhaps Netflix could convince her to do an interview. What's she got to lose at this point?

@@lindseyolson4 - Bet she would too, especially if she was paid!! Marjorie's always been motivated by money and her insatiable greed. Oh, and fire too. She's long been called a "fire-bug" a.k.a. pyromaniac. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Lindsey, one more thing I thought of...Was Marjorie's original stroke perhaps caused by actions of Elizabeth??? Just sayin!!!!
