Hey guys, if you have any questions, please read the description under the video first. I left all the necessary information there, like the yarn that I use and the size of a crochet hook. Also, there is a written pattern there. ❤
Agree!!!!! I actually watched another tutorial where the other person was using the same yarn like me hence I started following that but was confused after the 1st row. This video helped me a lot in figuring out certain things. Now I'm kind of switching between both the tutorials.
Just made it! Turned out great!! As a complete beginner, finally a tutorial I could get through without any hiccups! Thank you so much for the thorough filming and explanation :)
@@zaain.65 Definitely not two hours but eventually as I got a grip for it and knew what I was doing each row, I even watched shows while crocheting. Id say all in all 3-4 hours maybe?
I have been watching so many crochet videos since 2020 and this is such a great video, no words needed. Thank you for showing steps slowly and completely! You are a great teacher!
how many chains would you recommend for a baby and how many slip stiches would that be? And thank you so much for this tutorial it was really easy to follow🩷
@lisanneveldhuis9086 It's pretty difficult to say for sure. I can suggest that you measure the length from the crown of the head to the eybrows peak + folding part with the desired length, then make the foundation chain accordingly and try it on the head. About slip stitches, I'd recommend making them the same way as shown in the video❤️
I made it for my 57 cm head. You can try to fit the piece around your head as you go and add less or more rows. Make sure that the last row ends with a double crochet so you can finish the beanie the way it's shown in the video. ❤️
@yingleong7236 I think it will look better if you make tighter stitches, though in this case I used a plastic hook that doesn't slip through as good as a metal one. Also, this yarn consists of many threads that get parted easily, so I helped myself to get a better shot :)
@user-dc9hg5vl3y Hey) Slip stitches are going on top of slip stitches only. You make 4 slip stitches and then start making double crochets until the end of the row ;)
@lisacarlsson5042 It's 32 cm ❤️ Do you plan to use a thinner yarn? If yes, then the top of the hat will bunch and look differently because you'll have more rows.
@@Skeined Thank you so much ❤ I am quite new to crocheting so can't really tell if my yarn is thinner... I planned to use a yarn thats 100 g = 150 m (Recommended hook 6). Would you say a 100 g = 110 m (Recommended hook 9) would be better? Both says "yarn weight = chunky" in the description
@lisacarlsson5042 I used a 100g = 100m yarn with a 6 mm hook (recommended hook 8). I think if you use 100g = 110m with a 7 mm hook you will probably get the same result, I can't be sure though because I haven't tried it. But 100g = 110m will be a 100% better 🥰

@somethingelse1940 This step is only for Row 2 to show you where to place the last double crochet (because there are 2 skipped chains from Row 1 and not a regular double crochet that you will have with all other rows). Make sure that all other rows starting from Row 2 have 34 dc and 4 sl st. Hope this helps ;)
@@Skeined i know! Sorry didn’t mean to sound so negative When I first started crocheting I held it the way you do here but found i was crunching my hand more to create tension Wrapped it around another finger and the problem is fixed
Crochet influncers that show the Crocheting needle size and expect the viewers to see it with colors must realize everyone can not see the size of the needles. Do a little more, thank you.😊
It depends on your skills :) For me it took ~ 3 minutes per row, which is around 102 minutes to finish all rows and around 15 min to finish the beanie completely. With such bulky yarn it grows really fast ❤

As a beginner I really appreciate you using the purple needle to point out the stitches to use.
I'm glad it is helpful. Thanks for watching ❤️

Thanks for this tutorial. Never saw a DC Ribbed Hat. This will work up faster than the SC and HDC that I've done before.

You are very welcome! Thanks for watching ;)
hey how long did it take?

Your channel is underrated. I hope it gets all the recognition it deserves. Thanks for sharing this lovely tutorial. ❤
Thank you very much 😊
This is an awesome tutorial! I'm going to make one for myself
Very unique. Thanks for your patience, I am going to try this pattern.
@shirleybrown5312 Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I truly appreciate it ❤️
it will not come off easily even tho the yarns re not weaved.?
Hi I am using a 5 strand milk cotton fibre. But my 39 foundation chain only measured 8inches !!!
I am using a 5 mm hook. Any tips for me
Love the crown. I subscribed 😊

Ma is this Brazilian wool
Thank you your video was very helpful
Hi good morning from Israel.thank you for this video .can I ask if 39 chain is for you adults?
@rachelyacoby3453 Hi, Rachel :) Yes, it is for adults, and the foundation chain that consists of 39 chains is 32 cm, or 12.6 inches long.❤
Is this for all adult sizes? I’m guessing you can adjust the sizing to fit you by folding the hat but I just wanted to make sure.

@@Skeined Okay that makes sense! Thank you so much for replying 💞
Is this meant to be done with a tight tension as you seem to be struggling to get the yarn through the slip stitches.

Soooo sorry but it is very confusing for the 2 row are we supposed to slip stitch into the dc or the Previous slip stitch
@user-dc9hg5vl3y Hey) Slip stitches are going on top of slip stitches only. You make 4 slip stitches and then start making double crochets until the end of the row ;)

Perfection
what should i do after 08:25? do i have to repeat? and how many times?
Make 34 rows in total ;) You can also check the description, I have a written pattern there. ❤
5:16 please help , do I do the step with each row like that or only on this one ?

Why is mine shrinking?
How long is the hat please? Many videos says 15 " but i think that would be too long😅

Oh man the way you hold the yarn is making my hand hurt
There are different ways to hold the yarn, make sure to find the one that is comfortable for you ❤
