Iowan here. The first fish on my homemade dive/rise was a 12lb flathead catfish, followed directly by a 43" muskie. I ate the catfish and released the muskie, great day on the water.
Lesson learned. Solid blade bucktails don't allow the jaws of the fish to completely close around the bait. They also create enough back force to push hooks out.
That last one looked like a really old muskie. You can tell by the eyes. They never stop growing even if the fish does. A lot of fish will shrink considerably as they get really old. No matter how old they may be they never, ever ask to see the manager and thats why I love em!

Hi guys thanks for the video 🎣. Lee’s ski had some chunk to it nice job. That tall weed patch reminds me of a little spot on Webster lake. About a 20 by 20 patch where I see usually run into a couple. Good luck on the opener!! I’ll be hitting Webster for the full moon in June. Getting excited!
I live and fish in North MN, caught a Blue Cat on a Spro BBZ50 topwater rat, it's the big 10" topwater. I live right by where the St Louis an Cloquet River come together and I've had some big channels roll on big swimbaits, haven't caught one yet, never fished for any cats intentionally either, though this is known to be a great area.

Iowa bass fisherman here. Best musky lake in Iowa is Brushy Creek hands down. It's got crazy number of muskies in it and they eat like a pike.
