Visiting a spot we used to go to and talk on the CB Radio back in the late 1970s

- A quick tour of one of our favorite locations to talk on the CB Radio, HIGH above the Salt Lake Valley. #cb #cbradio Back in the day there were thousands of people talking on the CB Radio in the Salt Lake Valley, going up on the East Bench in our mobiles we could walk on most everybody down in the Valley. OR Talk to anyone without a problem. One night I was talking to a guy all the way across the valley, he was using a magnet mount antenna on his refrigerator and a mobile CB hooked up to a car battery. No one else in the valley could hear him.

We get stuck dealing with the water nonsense issues even here in Georgia. We were in drought conditions and they didn’t want us washing our cars, watering lawns, etc. But, they’d continue to approve 600+ house subdivisions being built. The takeaway from it I’ve learned is to never, ever, vote anyone into a commissioner position that is tied to land development or real estate in any way, or related to anyone in that field either.

When I lived in. Apple Valley,Ca (high desert) our water was governed by Mojave valley water district and other douche bags, but we were constantly battling those pricks over rate increases, water dought issues etc...I get it, its always drought season here, anyways i was reading the local news one day and read that the Dr.Pepper/Snapple group was searching for a plot to purchase to built a plant, in which they succeeded. While constantly attending city hall meetings and all that stuff, Dr.Pepper was talking about all the wonderful minimum wage employment the could bring to the high desert. Welp, this Warehouse/plant just so happened to be a "Bottling plant" yep, with a major drought going on, tickets and fines that were passed out to residents for violating drought laws, you can only water on one day per week, nozzles on water hoses were enforced, yes, enforced or you were fined, every home was given a pre-determined allotment of an "X" ammount of water, cant remember how many "inch acres" ??if you went over that set allowance your water bill was doubled. NO FRIGGEN JOKE!!!! I thought Adolf Hitler arrose from the dead.
Anyways, Dr.Pepper Pecker/Snapple group was claiming that the size of the plant would bring HUNDERDS of jobs, here is the funny part in all of this, That friggen plant was/is currently using "2 BILLION Gallons" of water per DAY and all of these drinkable products is manufactured solely for PURE PROFFIT"!!!!.NONE of their products are required to sustain life.
This plant is located in Adelanto. Ca A true shit hole.. let all of that sink in. Absolutely fucking mind blowing. Adelanto is a crappy tore up drug town with nothing to really offer the community.
Here is the little guy conserving water, and asshole corporations using it all up!....

Looks like almost pleasant view,utah cottenwood dr area like upper bench i use walk around areas. taking breaks in shade drinking water or walking dogs even in snow and fall and summer time.

I hope do more skip videos on this mountain maybe you need find park gets east coast skips and west coast at sametime you should all niter livestream the place your at UDX-390 maybe you can talk to OTR on skip.

WagonMaster, I know Utah County is not your thing but have you ever gone to Squaw-Peak? That was considered "The Top of The World" by us locals. If some one said they were at the Top of The World, we would be like, Stay there I'm comin' up. If you have time and want to show off Utah Hill-Topper capabilities come down and show Squaw and the Y-Parking Lot by Y mountain was a quick drive and Great to Lock-Down Provo and Orem and Orem and then Squaw that could easily lock-down from Santaquin all the way to the Point.
Then there is a great spot up in the Bench in Spanish kind of near the Gun Club.
We used to Also lockdown the center of the county hard from Four-Bay near Payson but now you cannot drive in there so you would need to pack it in on a bike or something. There where a few really cool spots down on the bench in Woodland Hills and Elk Ridge as well as up in the hill in Santaquin by where Tweedy was, the Best was Kester's Grove sometimes we called that the Crow's Nest because ol' Crow 604 used to hang out up there a lot.
Then for special occasions like our yearly Halloween Key-down we would usually get stations up on West Mountain and Lake Mountain too.
...And forget Cherry Patch... We were freaking Black-Top all the way around.. Not even the biggest truckers could touch us.
Anyway you want to show them something cool, go down to Squaw!

you should stay up there in snow storm on cb radio skip get some ice shoes to wear walk around you won't fall on the road that how stay out in snow storm don't worry those new generation they don't come out in snow storms in winter months in utah only skiing in park city just dress up 6 layers or 10 layers.

That is a nice area, I lived on 22nd east and 21st south. And spent every summer at my grandmas house located across the street from Sugar House Park.
