So it's possible that no kindness-traited humans have ever had Hate because Hate is not shown to have a kindness ability from its past hosts, though I might be wrong and Hate just has no purpose for Kindness abilities or something else I am not aware of.

It would also explain why the Hate STOPS trying to use all of it's fancy tricks in favor of just a plain old swordfight, that's what we see an angrier Frisk focus on-- just their sword.
No it's not. Hate has no relation to Frisk other than him being a mere host for it. Hate has existed for YEARS. Every Hate is the same entity that we see right now. Frisk did not create it, but generated it again. Hate has generated in the past and all of them are the same.

Here when Chara was ready to sacrifice himself by taking the stab from Hate to save Asriel IT was the purest form of Love, that the Hate couldn't do anything about and had to accept defeat
It used an integrity platform to blast Chara all the way to the canyon. Special Hell is when a DT weapon stabs the ground and a red explosion would occur. Rewatch season 1 episode 3 and 5. Reincarnation is the name of Hate's second theme
So my thoughts on the end. I think it is likely Gaster suffers some form of PTSD from either the prequel or his time in the core. If you pause the reflection looks kinda like Gaster did in the core. So I think it was supposed to be sneak peak for the prequel. Also, my thoughts. Since hate was generated by Frisk, I think hate derives from determination. Since Cami said a determination soul is a perfect balance of all 6 soul traits, I think THAT might be the reason why hate can use other soul traits. Just my thoughts tho.
Anyone with any trait can generate Hate when they feel enough hatred. It doesn't only apply to Determination. Hate was able to use the other trait abilities because it came from its past hosts before Frisk. They are in a darker colour too so they are inverted versions of the traits

So hate was created. After frisk did the genocide routes many times, he was able to generate hate to its (almost) full form, but Chara got a hold of it after s1 episode 2 after sans reset with frisk determination. After the final episode of season 1, the hate was released from Chara, and when monsters got to the surface, the hate traveled from the underground to the surface, and Betty got a hold of it, and as we saw in undynes fight in do or die, kumu used the hate substance to revive Betty, and for the rest of the episodes until animosity, hate finally was at its final format. I missed a lot of stuff I wanted to say, but I'll say that in my next comment

Well, I don't know if that's the case. Kumu absorbed the souls that the pink blobs had inside of them in episode 5, and then fused with Betty, with hate still inside of her, so I guess with all of the souls fused inside of kumu, and then it fused with Betty, that could've been the reason as to why hate was able to use every soul trait, since while It was in Betty, it was able to corrupt the souls inside of her.
I loved the ending but i'm kinda sad at the same time, like i always get reminded of people who died or got forgotten like Frisk or Alphys and Sans it's really sad especially Frisks disappereance

@McHutao No it wouldn't have worked. We're talking 2 different forms of Hate here. The one Chara had was in its normal substance form. Ronan had an animalistic Hate blob that couldn't fully latch itself onto a soul because it was a weaker variant
Do monster souls have a resemblance to a soul trait? Cause I’d imagine Papyrus is Kindness or Perseverance. I know animators/artists tend to draw his magic as orange and I think it’s more like aesthetic than actually meaning “bravery”.

I think Papyrus would be Kindness or Bravery. If you spare him in the No Mercy run, he says something like “I admit, that was scary”. But his eternal optimism and hope definitely need to be acknowledged
