I enjoy hearing the Swedish language. It brings fond memories of my great grandmother in the kitchen brewing Swedish coffee and giving us kids her homemade ginger cookies! Thanks for another great video. Erik!
I love how Eric captures the true essence of nature, in his videos, while showcasing his bushcraft skills. I love the aroma of fatwood when first cut. Makes me want to head to the woods.
Fatwood ( Lighter knot , Heart wood ) is always a good fire starter. Here in Florida we use the heart section of a dead pine tree or stump. The outer section rots away leaving the hard center. It's amber in color and smells like solidified turpentine. One trip in the Okefenokee Swamp it was raining and cold , a cold hard rain. A fire of the fat wood was built and we had a nice warm fire while in the rain. It's a nice fire but smokey with lots of soot , not good for cooking a meal over.
Just got back from my own walk to find another gem from Erik. Another photograph? of the lichen on rock with snow. These are stunning photographs that need to printed and sold on your own website Erik. Limited edition and signed - yes please! ☕️👍
The crane fly looked very interesting in the beginning of the video. Almost like a drawing with the white background. Thank you also for the little firewood lesson, this was new to me. 😊
Erik, your attention to details in filming and outdooring is beyond comparison, excellent content and vibe with vital lesson of the characteristics of resin in fire making! Have a great weekend and greetings from Finland - Br, Janne
I love the way you captured the tinging sounds of the Firebox as the metal expands. Great scenery and nice job with the axe. I really enjoy watching your videos. Cheers from Canada 👍
Absolutely phenomenal Erik! Thank you for this! Soooo good to see that firebox out there making coffee again!! I love it! I also live how you were able to integrate the sounds of the fire into the bit where you were hiking out! That’s awesome!! Take care snd hopefully we’ll see more firebox coffee as winter takes us along for the ride.
Lite på 9 minuter av rent nöje - till ögat med skönheten av tallskogen, till örat med den sprakande tjärvedbrasan, till sinnet med filmens lugn. Tusen tack, Erik!
Of you keep walking on the same path, you will first arrive at a cabin on some cliffs with a nice view, and if you keep walking after that you will arrive at a old fäbodstuga
Erik, my 5 year old daughter is bigger fan of yours than me! She would just watch your videos with me to see you thumbs up after having first sip of coffee. Lately she is copying you in our short hikes! Love from Basque country! Spain!!
So beautiful! are you happy that snow is back? I am sure that it changes the ambience and gives a lovely blanket to all things. I am asking because I live in Florida and snow is lovely to me, but not a winter time joy. I do a lot of wild camping in swamps and tropical areas. ATB! Love your videos!
Beautiful. Snow already on the ground where you are-winter is a lovely season. My wife's grandmother in Mississippi used to take her axe out into the woods to gather fat wood to start her wood stove fires. She used it very sparelingly and swore by it. Wonderful video, thank you. May I ask what inflatable sleeping pad you use? I'm looking to buy a new one, light weight, compact. Thanks.
Hi Erik, I like your videos very much and I really appreciate the work involved ** what is the name of the ax and is it recommended. Best regards, Gennaro
I'm more afraid of wet snow near freezing than I am of dry snow well below freezing. Making a fire is harder and drying out might not be possible without it.
Nothing better than hot coffee in the wet wood.Beautiful !!!
Hello everyone who are watching the Erik videos . It is a pleasure for me share the same attitude for the nature and the simplicity . Thanks Erik
The shots of the evergreens wrapped in snow and ice . Beautiful.
One of the most holy moment. Drinking coffee outdoor in snow. Stay healthy, Erik.
Short, Sweet, but very important lesson in bush crafting, Great job Erik as usual.

The "The very cool and calm" Erik! Very soothing outing!!
A great relaxing day in the Woods You say.
A great relaxing time when I see your movies.
Thanks
I like the tiny sit pad. I don’t drink coffee nor tea but I do like the ritual of preparation. Thank you Erik…
8:14 😳 thank you, enjoy nature and life. Big hug to Erik.
Brilliant Sharing great man! Lot of love and respect from a solo mountain hiker from the Lower Chitral District of Pakistan!
Anyone that goes out in the “wilderness” should be able to start a fire in bad conditions. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
That so good , snow cold
Have a nice day once more

I totally agree with you. I never leave without it.
Thanks Ben! Yes, I love that box!
Good to see Firebox stoves spreading to overseas. They're the best.
Erik had breakfast with you, wanted to ask for coffee, but did not have time to find his mug, as you left.... Thanks for the breakfast together.👍👍👍
The best stove firewood 🪵
(Her husband here...) So glad to see the return of the fatwood Erik, I've been missing it - ah, the aroma!

Probably in the family of Trichoceridae, possibly Trichocera hiemalis, which at least is the most common species
Nice hike and coffee. I understood some of the Svensk. Interesting cabin in beginning. Would like to see more on it.
Perfect weather and conditions for a firebox. Thanks for sharing. Sipping my first cup as I watch this.
Beautiful in the woods, so silent too 🙂

Great video as always.
Such a great video Erik! We hope you continue to get out and use your Firebox Stove making great meals. Cheers to you!
Cheers :) I definitely will! Thanks
It is so peacefull...thanks
I've seen you use this pine stump fire method in many of your videos. I now consider it an essential part of my survival knowledge. Thank you.

Det är så fint när du pratar svenska. Jag gillar dialekten.☺️
Det er virkelig trivelig med ild av furu (tall). Det gir slik god varme. Fin video! :)
Your kettle looks so unique, i‘m pretty sure one day it will end up in a swedish museum 😄
Incredible as always, thank you Erik
Great stuff, once again. Everything's great. Audio design is superior, exceptional.
Thank you Erik for doing this.
Thanks! :)
Confident and secure axe striking skills make a faster fire 🔥☕👍

MOney Shot thumbs up - awesome
Very nice! Thank you very much!
I wish.... I live in the snowland 🤗.
Good to see you on Sunday morning 👍. Lovely... Love from Nagaland, Northeast India.
Come to visit Finland or Sweden for a week or two. This will be enough to understand, how good is to live in warm climate.
I bet y’all have snow snakes too!🤣🤣🤣
very inspiring for my youtube channel
☕👍Beautiful and peaceful environment wrapped with pine tree scent, thanks for this nice winter starter moment.

Fantastisk editering som vanligt, Erik. Mycket bra gjort.

Very soothing video as usual 👍🏻
Super!!!
The rite of the ceremonial act. And the silence gifting.
Hej Erik,
Tack för skogsvideon. Jag njöt verkligen av den rena, svala luften 🏞️🌲
Jag önskar dig en trevlig vecka.
Hälsningar från Berlin 👍😃

We have warm weather now and the snow is gone I'm afraid. Hope it'll get colder soon. Thanks Ann
Happy Halloween dood!
Erik, I never get how you don't end up with a mouth full of coffee grinds? Sweet video my friend.
grinds settle as the brewed grinds cool off. First they float...then sink.
Pouring cold water on top of hot brew...makes grinds settle too :)
@@tjellis1479 Thank you, must try it.
Nice
Like my friend, direct from brazil
Makes me want to go hiking in Sweden, even in the wintry rain!

Love camping me.
For any that don't know. If you don't speak Swedish, you can switch on Close Captions (CC) for a translation of what Erik is saying.
Alltid lika härliga videos! ++++++
Nice video! Have you been to that spot in a video before? I seem to recollect it.
Thanks Kevin. I have been in this area a couple of times, so you probably seen it sometime before :)

Thanks Gennaro. I have the Hultafors forest axe, works really well!
