I am headed towards FINLAND..SWEDEN AND NORWAY for camping Canoeing...fishing solo..Your videos show the beauty of Your country and how to truly take youtime and enjoy MOTHER NATURE...I could taste the coffee at my home....cannot wait....ole ..what is the name of your single tent....
I can't for the life of me think why anyone would want to thumbs-down any Erik Normark video. This content should be prescribed by the NHS here in the UK. Loved the wander, the nature, thoughts and slowing down. Many thanks Erik. ATB - Ben
Calm, slow, almost musicless videos... it is understandable that there are people who are not in the right frame of mind to understand this idiosyncrasy, and that they considered these experiences boring and meaningless. Maybe one day they will see them again. With different eyes.
Funny you should mention that: I found this channel while passing time during a five-week stint in hospital last year. It was perfect for settling the mind before going to sleep.
There's no big mountains or crystal clear streams. Striking buttes or deep canyons, but I still feel strangely attracted to...everything about this video. It just puts me at ease, like this is where I belong. Cheers from Texas swamp country.
I can’t express how much I enjoy these videos. You’d think watching a bloke going for a hike and making a cup of coffee might get a bit samey but I find each one fascinating, the audio is excellent and really lifts the production values above any similar content providers. The suspense over wether or not you will speak makes me pay attention when you do, which is just as well as it’s always about something worthwhile. And then there’s great information like the naming of flora and fauna and giving the translation which are really nice touches (although I was disappointed there wasn’t a translation for ‘egg noodles’, made me chuckle anyway). Thank you for doing what you do.
Erik ...probably is the purest form of a hiker. He never overlap the sound of nature in his every vlog without any nonsense. He is simply the best. Thank's Erik.
I swear that tent looks like a Tarptent based on the end vents. And the colors. Never seen that pad b4 but looks very comfortable !!!!. The bus reminds me of so oddities I have run into. Thing's that make you go hmmm 🧐🤗 Maybe once upon a time there was a road closer and somebody decided to make that their summer hangout campout area their little getaway. Who knows just one of those mysteries. Thanks Eric 😊 Peace and keep on rocking the free world ☺️🌍
I would love to go on a trek with you....I would not spoil the adventure by talking. 😃 peacefulness of nature! Thank you for your videos. Truly love them. From Colorado, USA.
Absolutely loving the content! I’ve followed your adventures since lockdown and u are an absolute National Treasure and great ambassador for the outdoors and indeed Sweden! Love u man! 👏🏻
What a nice trek! It’s always nice to go off trail and explore when you can. The second campsite by the water was great! Must have been nice to listening to running water in the evening! Filming was exceptional as always!
It seems such a shame that anyone would watch one of these films and give it a thumbs down. Those who have should go for a long walk in the woods. Thank you Erik for the journey.
Another nice location If these trails were over promoted they would be over used. It’s nice that there are shelters on long the way See you again in the next video and take care 🇨🇦 ❤️
It is not about the miles but about the experience.. I'd be perfectly happy wandering about up there for a week and just do some loops. Maybe stay a day at one spot. Get a feel for the place.. I would have no problem finding a good hammock spot I see. Amazing how much space there is.. few roads, nothing else but woods, swamp, stone, river and animals.. Thanks, a good watch.
Erik, my wife and I really enjoy your videos on your TH-cam channel. We always look forward to your next one. It would be a lot of fun to see a video of you at home maybe preparing for your next trip. Would let us get to know you a little more. Just a viewers thoughts. Thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us!
I may have said this before, but I thoroughly enjoy how you edit your videos so that you make our eyes _hear_ , and make our ears _see_ what you are experiencing. (And yes, people...I wrote that *exactly* as I intended to write it.🙂) I’m also glad to see you using an aluminum windscreen/heat guide to conserve fuel and shorten your required cook time. I don’t understand why I don’t see more outdoor YT channels doing this, and instead just letting a lot of the heat escape when using this type of gas hiking stove, thus requiring more time and fuel to cook their food/make coffee etc.
And here I am, thumbs upping back like a numpty! And you know you’re doing it too! But it’s hard, if not impossible, not to like Eric. Plus he has a perfect backdrop. That’s on my list for when retirement happens. Thanks, Eric - great, calming watch. 👍🏻
Gorgeous nature and atmosphere with video. Greetings from Finland. I will return to the wilderness to make a nature document. Urho Kekkonen National Park in Finland.
Just found your channel in the last few days Erik - absolutely love it. John Denver wrote in Rocky Mountain high " Now he walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams Seeking grace in every step he takes His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake" Your videos and approach seem to embody the words above. Found myself even saluting and giving a thumbs up to nothing and no-one into the quite morning at my solo campsite (well apart from my two dogs) when I sipped my first coffee at 5AM on my own slightly shinier Trangia 27 kettle. Wishing you many great trips this year and in all the seasons ahead of us all.
Indeed. I always watch his videos and can easily imagine they’re shot in our own UP - such similar terrain. Even that old bus, we’ve got our own share of abandoned cars in the woods, including the one along the NCT in Pictured Rocks.
Thank you for sharing your great adventure, since I follow you, every time is a magic hike with nature!!👍like you i enjoy beautiful nature in my country🇨🇦, just the sound of water 💦 is relaxing, thank Eric , i can’t wait your next adventure!!!👍💪🤙😜. Very nice video.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful time of the year. I especially like it when you go off trail. In the US we call it bushwhacking. Peaceful no people , Only the forest and you. You do have to have pretty good compass skills and or a GPS. Best of life watching from the USA
hello, greetings from romania, I just want to say you became a big inspiration for me to go hiking alone in nature, thank you erik for the big moral boost
Excellent video. Reminds me of a twelve day camp in the Coloredo Rockies I did. Beautiful raw scenery. A person finds out when in the bush that you can live and survive with a lot less.
It would be very interesting if you could make a video about nutrition. Which food is good to take with you. Which food gives you enough energy. And what food can you take with you if you want to save weight. And what food can you take with you in summer if you can't keep it cold? So many questions ... 😀
Hello 👋 Erik, sincere thanks for sharing another amazing video. Your videos are certainly a welcome breakaway from the harsh realities that are going on in the world today. The very best to you. Stay healthy out there. 🤗
When I saw the bus , I tought about the movie " into the wild " , wonder what was the story of this bus ... Are the mosquitoes bad now are just starting ? Thank's Erik
@@erik_normark I could be on to something with Mosquito prevention. Maybe not. I have been wearing long sleeve 'Copper Compression' workout shirts when I hike to help me with my Asthma in this time of Covid-19. I notice the Mosquitos leave me alone...just go for my exposed hands. But I am in WA state not Alaska or Sweden. Some of my shirts are copper/zinc weaves.
at the coffee moment i was waiting for your thumb more than you were waiting for mine. in other news ive just come back from a 5500km trip around sweden. starting from karlskrona, driving thru the gravel roads, ending up in abisko/riksgränsen and then back to poland. Cool trip, great nature, fun memories!
Well, that was..... perfect. Just perfect. Some narration and explanation, awesome footage, great sound, and a morning coffee thumbs up! ☕👍🏻 Does it get any better? Thanks for sharing your trip with us. 👍🏻🇨🇦
Thank you Erik for mastering the tranquility of the nature with professionally controlled outdooring! It looks so easy, but contains years of experience. Greetings from Finland /Janne (Mr) - have a great week ahead!
A really fantastic video. Because of your camera quality or video skill, your cinema looks and sounds so impressive on large screens. Nobody does 'ambience' like you do. It's like watching Clint Eastwood and Henry David Thoreau directed by Francis Ford Coppola (Sorry for the American references...)

The Swedish tourist board should be funding these. When international travel is back to normal I'm definitely coming for a hike. ☕👍 from UK.
Me too!
Me three
well said .
«Stickmygga» ... now that's an onomatopoeia if ever there was one. Perfectly describes the mosquito action & reaction dynamic.

It actually translates to "Äggnudlar", not too different.

What a great area to hike and camp in. One additional item to the pack I would have to add. A fishing rod , that is some good looking water.
