    AEB means auto exposure bracketing. Not balancing. It takes 3 or 5 shots spread out at different exposures for manual stacking for an HDR pic in post. HDR mode does it for you. But using AEB gives more control over your 3-5 shots so you can set exposure how you like.

    Hi, I've got a question that apparently no one has answered yet - can you livestream to TH-cam, Facebook or Instagram usign the DJI Go app? I know that the DJI drones support this, but does the Osmo? It's really important to me, I'd appreciate an answer.

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, the DJI Go app does not support livestream with the Osmo.

    • @unverifiedbiotic
      @unverifiedbiotic 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TV Specialists, Inc
      That's strange, I've asked on their livechat and wast told that it works. Did you use the latest firmware for the camera and the latest version of the DJI Go app when verifying this? Here's an article written by a guy who was able to stream with the Osmo to Facebook: bit.ly/2aDKsw2

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are absolutely correct. There was a recent update that does now allow streaming via facebook, youtube, as well as RTMP.

    • @unverifiedbiotic
      @unverifiedbiotic 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So, have you guys tried it? Any opinions on the quality of the stream or specific info on the stream's properties (bitrate, fps, available settings, etc.)? Sadly, their support is clueless in this regard, the guy I was chatting with flat out told me he didn't know much about the Osmo...

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The quality of the stream, at best, would be the same resolution that you are viewing on your smart device, which is 720p max. It's also going to be based on the quality of your wifi/cell reception. Hopefully the dealer from whom you purchased can offer you additional support regarding this topic. Thanks for watching!

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If there's no video feed, then please make sure your app, the camera, and the Osmo handle are all up to date on firmwares. Next would be to make sure you're connected to Osmo's WiFi network. For further in depth troubleshooting, please inquire with the dealer/source from whom you purchased your Osmo. Thanks for watching!

    Here's an extremely useful tip. If you just bought this item you have to activate it in the app before you do anything else or it will not work at all. DJ I should have put something in there letting people know that. I don't understand why anyone on TH-cam has mentioned that very valuable tip!!

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lou, sorry that we had not included this in our instruction. And you are correct, all of DJI's systems require you to activate the product through the app, and is pretty self explanatory. Once again, we apologize if the instruction is not to your liking. Thanks for watching.

    • @BM-ik5gc
      @BM-ik5gc 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Self explanatory" he says. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Good one

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brendan, we are sorry if you disagree with this. Please understand that we are just talking about the activation process through the app when you power on your system for the first time. In depth things, like what we cover in our videos, in most definitely not self explanatory; that's why we do these videos. But when you first power it on, the activation process is, what we feel anyways, a fairly simple step by step process. Hope this better clarifies our previous statement. Good luck and happy flying.

    AEB = Auto Exposure Bracketing. This takes multiple pictures at differing exposures, which is helpful with scenes where subjects are at highly variable brightness.

      The information you received is false, sorry. That USB port on the Osmo is for firmware updates. We've always simply removed the microSD card form the camera, and connect that to a computer with an SD adapter, or other forms of adaptation.

    I saw that the shutter and ISO is manual changeable, but is the F-number also manual changeable to adjust the exposure?

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The "f" number you refer to is the "f-stop" or aperture of the camera. The camera, X3, that the Osmo comes with does not have the ability of aperture control. You would need to upgrade to the X5 series of cameras from DJI.

    have u ever try o connect directly the osmo to a computer? so u can monitored throuth the computer?

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gabriel, as far as we are aware the ability to connect directly to a computer wouldn't be possible with this device because there is no video output on the Osmo. You could use your smart device to connect (just like what is being done on this tutorial), but keep in mind, computers typically don't have video inputs. So you'd also need a video capture device such as the Intensity Shuttle from Black Magic. But also keep in mind, that if you do that, you're using the video from the phone within the app which has a max resolution capability of 720p. Hope this is helpful.

      +WP Kho if you simply quick tap the screen the controls will disappear and reappear. It does this so that you can take full advantage of the screen image without the controls overlapping/getting in the way.

    • @Tvspecialists

      +sohail nazish Sounds like your smart device isn't able to keep up; lack of processing power. I've tried using my first gen iPad mini with the Phantom 3 or Inspire 1 and the video feed is completely unusable to use as a flight reference. But my iPhone 5S works just fine. It's because my iPad mini isn't new enough, with enough processing power, to keep up.

    Hello,
    I have not been able to zoom in. Would you please let me know how to do it? Also, I am getting a lot of distortion. Any idea why? I just bought it, I have read the manual but I can't find the answers.
    Thanks

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Val N if there is an issue with your Osmo, then you should contact who it was purchased from. However, there is no zoom; fixed focal length. And while you may get some distortion on your phone, it shouldn't look that way on the recording. So check the SD card. We always recommend purchasing from people who can help you. Thanks for watching!

      You can zoom by pinching and expanding your fingers on the screen. Just like how you zoom in on something on your cellphone. It's only a 2x zoom and It's more of a magnification, rather than a zoom on a traditional camera.

    This may have been already asked but I'm having trouble with slow motion indoors. Is there a better setting that works for slow motion in low light?

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +David Cawton there isn't unfortunately. Slow motion = fast shutter speeds, fast shutter speeds = less light reaching the sensor. So the only compensation is to light up your subject.

    Very informative review thanks ! Just a quick question please, can you export a clean video feed via the HDMI, that is without the camera controls and settings, this would be very handy for corporate events and demonstrations. Also can you connect more than one phone/ ipad to the Osmo at the same time. If so it may be possible to use a Phone to control the device and a second iPad/iPhone to stream a clean video feed to a display via HDMI. Not sure if you have any contact with DJI but maybe they might comment on whether this is possible. Thanks. Ray

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +40ftproductions, you could go out of your smart device and adapt to HDMI, but it would mirror. So it would show the full display (controls, settings, etc). Unfortunately it's one to one as far as connections go. But these are valuable ideas that we will pass along for sure. Thanks for watching!

      +TV Specialists, Inc,
      Glad you found the suggestions helpful. If you are in contact with DJI maybe you could add these few feature suggestions to the list. We were all ready to purchase the Osmo but a few key items IMO are missing and would make a big difference to producers and companies looking at run and gun solutions.
      1.Better Int/Ext audio, plus controls.
      2.An Osmo LCD + App for monitoring without a phone.
      3.More Mounting points on handle 1/4"or rosette for accessories. Once you have a mic mounted your options for mounting a phone to control the unit are limited. Also a 1/4 thread in the base of the unit for attaching directly to a tripod.
      4.A long life or at least 2 hour battery option.
      5.An Auto face tracking feature would be amazing.
      6. Dual App Control
      7. Clean HDMI output
      Thanks for the reply and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your product reviews.
      Regards
      Ray

      +Chester Orozco unfortunately with the X3 you cannot. It's set at infinite focus. Sometime soon DJI will release the adapter to allow the X5 camera's mountability to the Osmo; the X5 has focus control.

      @Tvspecialists  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is to adapt from Apple's lightning connection to HDMI so that I can display the image on the TV. That's the only way I know of to display the image of the Osmo on a display.

    • @Tvspecialists

      Any mirroring you do to an external display will look exactly like what your tablet or phone sees. So if you swipe up you can clear the menus/display. That should give you a clean image.

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Thomas Ziogkas no zoom capability yet. Though, if you are shooting in 4K, in post that will allow a 4X's crop down to 1080p that doesn't look too bad; we've used that as a zoom before. But again...post.

    I just got my osmo I powered it on and my gimbal didnt move or stabilize or center, it was limp even after I unlocked the axis and hinges and i can hear the fan. is this normal, Iinked it to my phone but I see only a black screen and on screen buttons are greyed out except for 2. is this normal or a a defect

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ahmed, you need to connect to the WiFi of the Osmo before you'll see an image through the app. And yes, the gimbal will stay limp until you have activated it with your DJI account within the app. Once activated, power cycle, and should work. For additional assistance, we recommend you contact the dealer from whom you purchased the Osmo. Thanks for watching!

    question, what if i bring this outside like traveling to japan, will the communication work for both of them? or you really need a decent wifi connection?

    • @Tvspecialists
      @Tvspecialists  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +cand7e7ack not sure I fully understand your question, but hopefully you knowing that the Osmo sends out it's own WiFi signal answers your question. So no cell service or WiFi/internet connection is necessary. When you power on the Osmo, it transmits it's own WiFi that your phone will then connect to for the video feed.

    this question is for both Phantom4 camera and Osmo:
    When I shoot a 4k video, it will be automatically saved in my phone, but does it get saved in 4k quality ? or do i still need to remove the SD Card and connect it to my pc and download to get the 4k video ?
    I always felt the ones i find in my phone is not 4k, and i had to connect my SD card to the pc.
    Thank you guys !

    • @Tvspecialists

      Vladimir is correct. The video stream is just for reference, not to be used for full quality. For best results, use footage directly from sd card.

      No external wifi is needed. The Osmo produces its own wifi signal.
