PSA: GMK keycaps often interfere with most MX switches in the normal(north facing) position where the LED shine through is at the top. The Glorious Pandas are an exception because they bottom out earlier as do some other switches but most bottom out at 3.8-4mm which will cause interference with GMK keycaps so be wary about what switch you use in this or any other keyboard with north facing switches

My mecha mini just came in a few days ago, and this video inspired me to really make the keyboard my own. I am absolutely in love with the glorious panda switches, and the mecha mini as well. Nice. Did this to an Anne Pro 2 not too long ago. Used lubbed/filmed Gateron Black Inks and gold plated cherry stabs. Also replaced the plastic case with a aluminum one. One of my favorite keebs.

I was wondering if you've ever had this problem with any of your boards and if it would be worth the risk to buy it
Hey! I’ve had issues in the past on my very first ducky one 2 mini but their new firmware is better and prevents it from happening. I think it’s pretty safe at the moment to buy one
I feel like there was a missed opportunity to balance the stab wires, :3ildcat has a nice tutorial in each of his modding videos. I think it's important to balance the wire, because even if you drown it in dielectric grease, an unbalanced wire will start to rattle after some use.
hey, sorry if this is a dumb question but. if i put the panda switches on my ducky, can i still access the rgb? and also would the normal ducky one 2 mini work with these switches instead of the mecha mini?
Is there no interference between the Cherry profile keycaps and the north-facing switches? I want to buy the Glorious Pandas but I have north-facing switches, so I don't know if Cherry profile will have any interference with this switch in particular.
Putting the arrow keys at WASD is not acceptable. You can do that with uniform profile keycaps, not GMK. Other than that, you have successfully convinced me to get a desolder gun :)

Would you guys recommend this as a first custom keyboard? From the PH so I have a hard time ordering from monstargears or novelkeys but there's a Glorious local retailer and the Ducky is readily available. HAHAHA Also, if not the Glorious swithces I might just order Kailh Speed Bronze from another local retailer HAHA

I modded my one2mini in a similar fashion. Band-aid mod, lubed zealios v2's and lubbed stabs. Now it's perfect 👌

That's exactly what I've done the day the g pandas arrived. And I love it. However the bottom out on the steel plate needed o rings.
