Very cool setup...
With the price of all the new stuff....this makes sense.
Great video
Thanks!
Have a 06 Denali I’m thinking of doing this 2 but not sure what’s the cost diy of course
Great Video, appreciate the creativity on your builds. wish you success in your business.
I appreciate that!
I have a 2003 Denali very glad to hear you give them a good rating ;love mine on road trips.
Thanks!
Great job on that, Grady!
Thank you!
Nice build! Love the 6.0 in these.
Thanks!
nice intro music and very cool build on the gmc denali
Thanks!
This truck is in fantastic condition! Great work!
Thanks!
Just picked one of these up tonight, gonna start setting it up this week im stoked! they are nice rigs. I am lookin for a 4 runner for an offroad rig, or maybe even a RZR to take out to the desert, but this rig will just be my road queen.
Awesome!
Would like to see yall do something different like an avalanche. Would be cool
That's a good idea 👍
another well done project! Love the SUV campers!
Thank you!
Has the 4L65E. All Denalis too.
I have the 2006 1/2 ton Denali, same engine, transmission, drivetrain as the 3/4, just shorter and holds/tows less. My wife has a 2015 tricked out Rubicon so she wants me to sell the Denali, the thing is, unless I am doing something extreme the Denali runs circles around the jeep on power, comfort, carry power and stealth.
Fully replaced the front end, suspension, brakes , pulled the rear seats and installed plywood and carpet and just used it to run parts to my guys and desert runs. My mechanic tells me if I keep running it the way I have been I will get another 100k out of it.
Wondering if I can accidently sell the jeep instead and tell her it was an honest mistake.
Love your channel, keep the content coming
Thanks!
You did a great job on that Denali. Sweet V8 sound, the hidden winch is great.
How about a snorkel on that Denali??
Love your videos!!!👍
Thanks! Ya a snorkel would be cool.
Nice set up. I have an 05 Suburban with the AWD system. It also has 4Lo. It’s really nice on road and has been capable in limited off road use. I wish I had the 6.0 and 17’s. It also has Bose speakers but standard stereo. I’d love to add a modern touch screen with backup camera. The hidden winch looks like a very neat product.
Thanks!
Had the 06' Suburban LTZ AWD until someone stole it just last month, but anyway nice set up
Nice to see a couple of different upgrades. I have a 2002 Yukon XL Denali that I am working on building out. Interesting to see the winch and light bar. In my case I’m still going to install an auxiliary battery in the engine compartment while carrying a portable jump starter pack. Nothing worse than finding a dead battery. Will be using some lightweight 120w folding solar instead of the hard panel over the sunroof. Always interested in knowing brands you are using for LED headlamps and light bars. When are you going to start having Amazon Affiliate links to generate some income for you and increase your channel subscribers? You can’t build out everyone’s rig, and people (like me) are scouring the internet for knowledge. If some of your clients do additional modifications to your packages after purchase (e.g. Tristan), consider asking them for video that you can add to your channel (e,g, how to add indoor release systems for 2002 Yukon XL Denali rear hatch/window.) 😉👍
Feel free to email us we can get you a link.
I have the same 6.0 motor and drive trane in an 04 escalade, 220 000 on the clock, just put in new trans, everything else original working great...doesnt even use oil...lol
Nice!
Do you know if the 285/70r17's fit without rubbing on stock height ? Thank you for your videos.
also i have a bottom end tick .is this common on this motors ?? how worried should i be . im sure it the bottom end bearings would it be ok for me to actually drive it pass 3,000 rpm 😂😂😂😂
I love the 2000 to 2006 Tahoe's and Yukon Denali the surbaran Is alright just subscribe
Nice!
The wind blocked out some of your winch description, who makes the mount and how much plastic trimming was involved?
Rough Country and just normal trimming
I have a question??? 245,000 would you change transmission fluid .my fluid looks old no issues with transmission temp looks good. is it best to just leave it alone or can i dump an fill i cant afford any issues 😂😂😂 so best tk leave it alone ??
can you please share the part number for the Bilsteins ? Thank You
Is it as simple as just swapping the 5100 shocks? Removing the fuses and relays?
following
Aren’t the transmissions different, 4l65e?
Yes you're correct. The cases are identical but the internals are a little different with the 4l65E being a little bit stronger than the 4l60E. They started doing them in 2001 when mated to the 6.0.
Very cool .I do have a question though. Where can I get those rocker panels for a suburban. Mine is 01,and I need to cover up a lot of rust!!!!
😂 Maybe a junkyard
What’s needed to lift the awd? I’m told I would need aftermarket front driveshaft
You don't need an aftermarket front driveshaft. It's the same process as the regular 4wd Suburbans.
@@suboverland do you know where to get a lift because I can’t find one anywhere for the year 00-05 says not available
Quality
Thanks!
Pretty sure the Denalis have the 4L65E
Did you use the 2in lift kit on this one?
It's about a 2 inch up front and 1 inch in the back.
Great set up! This seems pretty close to what I want when my time comes. Question: I just spent a week in my SUV stressing about the power in my system (including running to 0% twice and spending a day in the sun to get some charge). Do you / can you set up to charge from the alternator while driving? Trying to charge from my cigarette port was not very useful.
Our set up now doesn't have an option directly from the alternator.
Would this be considered a 2500 because it has the 6.0 with 4l65e transmission?
No it wouldn't. It still has a 10 bolt rear axle. 6 lug wheels etc.
Nice build! What model Carplay/Android Auto head unit are you using?
Thanks! It's made by Cohen
Rough Country says their hidden winch mount doesnt fit the Suburban, only the Silverado... is there a trick to make them fit or is RC just being lazy about their fitment guide?
Ya they don't list it but it works well without modification.
@@suboverland really glad to hear I dont need to spend nearly the same amount as the vehicle just to get a winch bumper. Does it fit a full size 12,000lb winch or are you guys running something smaller like a 9500lb winch?
Thanks for the inspiration and info. Have you thought of selling plans to cut out the wall organizers? I'd love to DIY my own suboverland and the interior looks like an awful lot of measurements to mess with for a single build. Plus I kinda want to do my own version of those panels with an entertainment system and electrical on the passenger side.
I have a GMC Yukon XL and it does not have a bowtie on the front.
Ya 12 miles a gallon, own 2
I liked the old intro music better…
How much for one like this?

Another HORRIBLE SET UP. FIRST OFF NEVER USE RAIN GUARDS OR ROAD CHIP GUARDS= DIRT RUST MAGNETS. SECONDLY RAISING BED= LESS MOVEMENT HORRIBLE DESIGN!
