    I'm trying to do a 2004 Overlanche or Avalander, I like the first one better. But I've replaced almost everything and I mean everything. I'm subscribing to get more ideas!

    Grady, congratulations on being able to show us #66. You've obviously hit on an appealing as well as affordable product and I applaud your business for offering an off-road RV option that opens up the overland experience to more of the young and the less well off. It's been interesting to see the blossoming of other YT videos on the Suboverland done by your clients. No doubt you long ago bumped up against the limits of your business to satisfy the market, always a challenging issue for a small business to contemplate. Best wishes!

    Would you be willing to make a video showing blue prints and details of all the wood work of the bed frame and shelves? Your videos have inspired me to convert my suburban but my only option is a "do it yourself" would be awesome to get a better idea of of the measurements/cuts/ sanding/ size wood/ overall process to create these amazing conversations you do. Thanks for making these videos! Keep em comin.

    Hello from Poky, I really like your builds and the functionality of them. I searched for about year to find my 06 suburban. I was not able to find a z71 in the configuration or color that suited me. But I did find a LT that met my wants and needs albeit paying a premium for it I like it. Prior to the purchase I had stumbled across your website and it had got me inspired. I will have to shoot you a message via email to pick your brain and ask a few questions.......But for now summer is dwindling and I have more blue lines to explore with my boys and our fly rods.

    to make it useful if you only went on weekend trips, i would want a rubber mat covering the top of the drawers so weekdays you pull out the mattress and it's like a regular trunk for hauling groceries or other stuff and then on weekends you put back the mattress on top of the rubber mat.
    also i would remove one of the second row seats to have a rack which has a toilet in the bottom which would slide out if you need it and the slide back in when not is use and n the shelves above it stack the battery.

    Hey Folks- been really enjoying your channel AND your work! Quick question... Do you happen to know the available depth from the tailgate to the back of the second row seat? (In this video, it almost looks convincing to be able to sleep back there without folding the second set of seats down.). Eh? Thanks again!

    Great video tours of your work! In your opinion idoes goal zero perform better than a jackery? Does your client dictate size of goal zero? And last, would the goal zero 240 also work well for fridge, camp lighting, phones and laptop? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

    Hi Grady great job. I was thinking about the drawer and when you carry stuff in it maybe putting a peg broad on the bottom of them and having peg sticks you can move around to keep things from moving around. Keep up the great work and hopefully see you next year for my build yay.

    • @suboverland

    • @Jake2670
      @Jake2670 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would put the pegs in the sides, not the bottom - should still work to hold divider

    • @Jake2670
      @Jake2670 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@suboverland as for the drawers - how do they slide when full, I would use one for tools, be pretty heavy. is the factory carpet under or U use something to help slide?

    • @vanguardvaluist2614
      @vanguardvaluist2614 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some kind of adjustable divider system would be great in the drawer system to "compartmentalize" gear. Not sure if doing this would significantly increase labor costs or not. Material costs would be minimal.

    Are any of the tires you select made in the USA? Which ones do you typically use?

    • @suboverland
      @suboverland  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes Cooper tires are made in the USA. There are a bunch of others though. We base our decisions off of longevity, performance and price. Our two most commonly used tires are Falken and General.

    • @freedomdove
      @freedomdove 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. I want to support US-made products as much as possible so I hope to get American made tires on my rig. Should I email Dakin with that information?

    Love the Ni model especially with the fan upgrade! Any thoughts on the new Bluetti AC200 solar generator coming out? Looks like it might be an upgrade from the Goal Zero. Curios on an experienced opinion. Love what you are doing and best of luck!

    • @suboverland
      @suboverland  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! I have researched the Bluetti before and it seems like a great product. We have a great relationship with Goal Zero and I am totally satisfied with their products. I think the biggest thing with these companies is if they stand behind their product or not. Problems occur no matter what you go with and it's nice having a peace of mind.

    Is there any big advantages to a Suburban over a Yukon? I'm thinking mostly from the standpoint of reliability and suitability for conversion.

    • @jonc7371

      Dave Stennes same engine and chassis, only difference is some “luxury” options that gmc added to the Yukon’s

      Like submerging the vehicle? Without a snorkel definitely wouldn't attempt. We don't have a ton of experience with that sort of accessory.

    I would love to discuss the possibility of you building out my 1999 Suburban for my family to travel and live in full time for a year or more. Biggest question for mine is I have a 9-seater and was wondering if you could take out the front bench and put in 2 bucket seats instead? Is that doable or should be work around the front bench seat? Two adults and a 10-yr-old.

    • @suboverland
      @suboverland  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We would need to find good condition buckets that match everything. Doable but definitely difficult. Our email is suboverlander@gmail.com for more questions 👍
