Wow I thought that the Jirai Gumo was only a Monster are from the Trading Card Game Yu Gi Oh, whom is also a Giant Spider. Who has the power to Drain Half Of your Life Points properly as a reference. And fun fact that monster is now also a Trap Card in reference to the Anime where a Male Monster Steps on the Symbol of Jirai Gumo thus sneering that said monster in her Trap. Anyways moving onto the Wet Woman she almost feels like the impression to that Serpent Woman from the Anime Ninja Scroll, sadly I don’t remember her name right now.
One version I heard of Kuchisake -onna is that she was once a beautiful woman who was married to a brave samurai. Her husband loved her very much and trusted her, but she was as vain as she was beautiful, and took numerous lovers whenever her husband was away. She was so vain that she believed that her beauty could get her what she wanted. One night, her husband came home earlier than expected, and caught her with another man. He was so enraged at his wife's betrayal that he killed her lover in a brutal manner before turning his attention to her. He knew how much she valued her looks, so he mutilated her face by slashing her from ear to ear, but he didn't kill her. She was so distraught upon seeing her beauty mutilated that she took her own life. I really don't feel sorry for her in the said version.
@@MythicalArcana No problem. I may have a morbid sense of humor, because I laughed when she and her lover were caught by her husband, and paid the price; it was darkly amusing that her husband took away the one thing she valued more than anything in retaliation for her betrayal, and it was spelled out that her looks couldn't save her.
Thank you for the video. I loved the beautiful visuals, the artwork that ran beneath and illustrated the telling of the legends. Where, durst I ask, do you source this artwork from?
Great stories ❤ I love the Onna no Yokai especially the Yuki Onna my favorite yokai. There are stories of her whatever be in the book Kwaidan by Lafcadio Hearn and recently the anime and manga entitled In/Spectre. Btw jorugumo means Spider whore not golden weaver spider.

I feel sorry for the Rokurokubi since they never asked to be cursed in the place of the men in their families.

口裂け女/Kuchisake-onna tales appeared in 70's, so she is a rather modern urban legend than a yokai.
@@atsukorichards1675 As I said, the story I heard was one version
