      You need to be more specific. The audio quality is fine with the mg-300. But it depends on the buffer setting in your daw to ensure the best audio performance

    The mg 300 really is a great all around pedal. I think the best part about recording with it is that all the processing for effects and distortion happen on the mg 300 itself, so you can keep the buffer size way down low. Love it👊👍

    Most DAWS also allow for that latency correction, even though it's it's only milliseconds. This will allow for 'dead-on' timing. I looked this up for Reaper.
    EDIT: I'm having an issue with mine when I try and record. (WIN10) I could never connect to the QuickTone software unless I use the lower driver version for Win7, and regardless of which drivers I use I cannot record into a DAW with it. Every time I arm a track and hit a note, I get nothing but static. Latest firmware installed. Huge driver issues from my perspective. I ordered an actual recording interface to bypass the entire issue. Had zero issues recording, connecting and using as a soundcard with my PODHD500X. Better coded drivers one can only assume, unless it's something about my WIN10 build. i dunno.

    Hi Scott. I purchased a NUX MG 300. I did the firmware update, recalibrated the expression pedal, and installed the ASIO drivers in Windows 10. I use Pro Tools to record. I’m able to record into Pro Tools through the MG300 USB port and see that the signal is getting through; however, when I disarm the track and play it back, I can’t hear what I recorded. I routed the outputs to stereo 1 and 2 in PTs IO, but no sound comes back through the MG300 Headphone output. I only hear my guitar signal plugged into the MG300s input. How can I hear the signal I recorded? I’m very confused! Thanks for any help!

      Turn off input monitoring in Pro Tools after recording the guitar track, and you can hear the track recorded when you hit play back

Try anything similar on your device like a Vox model with a Bluesbreaker. 90% of the gainy tone itself will be in the amp model, pick attack and stuff will be tweaked by the OD and smoothness somewhat can also be contributed by the IR

      @@ohnoitssofia6029 hola Ana.

Typically this has no problem using audacity and and Quicktone editor. However, this round I wish to use only the THR10's tone (amazing) and I do not want Nux MG 300 tone on it, while retaining capability of amp/Nux to PC recording capabilities. So far I have tinkered with Mode (Combo Rear, Combo Front, Studio etc), Settings (Dry out/reamp) to no avail. Great Video as always. Thanks for sharing.
    **** question answered somewhere down below .... no drumming track on the audio interface. Thats pretty lame ad means I can't use any MG300 drumming tracks to build a song unless I run it through another audio interface. Not the PEDAL guys problem though ;-) ... but it means my pedal/equipment board just got bigger with the inclusion of the Rubix 22 and the RC3.
    Is there a way that when I record that I can record it with the MG300 drumming track ? The Drumming track signal doesn't make it over the USB connection for the audio interface but the drumming track is present on the output jack
    If the drumming track doesn't come with the instrument signal for recording then the only way is to feed the MG300 output to another audio interface (I got a Rubix 22) but I had hope I can avoid that. (I'm importing into REAPER)

    You really shouldn't have anything like the latency delay at 5.31 in the video, or be trying to work around it by disarming tracks etc.
    I have an MG 300 and there is zero latency when connected to DAW. There is no need for the MG300's audio out to be connected to the PC as audio should be coming through the USB out. Perhaps that's what's causing the latency issue here?
    I would dump it if the latency was that bad!

    • @ThePedalGuy
      @ThePedalGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate the feedback, but I think you're missing the point. Every computer is different and will respond differently to ASIO and latency. I have done this for over 25 years and it's never the same every time. The purpose of what I showed was to avoid the problem all together by not monitoring with latency. All of the audio you heard was coming via USB mixed in with my VO.
