Wondering if it's simply a drawing touchpad, or an actual second screen screen. Cuz if it's an actual second screen, then that would be phenomenal for developers. We can run our emulators and test devs on the second screen, and since the main screen is so wide, we can do multitasking pretty smoothly.
It's always cool to see innovative stuff like this. The wider than average main screen and extra drawing screen is quite cool. However being that size without a GPU kind of hurts it's usefulness to me. But for people that just do productive tasks or light photo/video editing and watch ultrawide movies.. It'd be a cool niche product.
I absolutely love the concept! However... Intel i7 CPU? Integrated GPU? A 400 nits screen? That simply won't do it, I'm afraid... And, yes, the screen should also have been 16:10 though it being 17" makes it comparable to 16" 16:10 screens. But a weak CPU, no dedicated GPU, and a washed-out 400 nit screen are deal-breakers for me...
if it would come with dGPU and without that draw pad, some upfacis sound dynamics and full keyboard - would buy. I wanted ultrawide laptop for so long.
Depends if your software can benefit from AMD iGPU or not and then you have a small screen so it's okish only if you have to do something on the move or when you connect it to a bigger display. The 2023 version with Oculink could be way better when paired with dGPU via this connector.
@Ben I know this doesn't pertain to the above unboxing but can you kindly give me your feedback on which item you would purchase. The MSI Raider GE 66 with the I9 processor or the Acer Predator Triton 500 Se with the I9? It would be greatly appreciated!
@@BenGKaiser Thanks for the reply, means a lot to me... I'm glad to hear your reply because I pulled the trigger on in the Acer before reading this.. Wishing you all the best!! Hope to see 100K sooner rather than later!!
This got my interest, last week already, but as soon as I go to the Lenovo website here I get the notice it's not available anymore. This looks like a great concept, but seems only be available in the US at the moment. No clue when it's coming back, so I decided to go with a different model, the new IdeaPad Flex 5 Gen 8 16". My last Lenovo was the Miix 510-12ikb from 2017. I enjoyed that one a lot, curious to see how this newest model will do. It should arrive early next week. Haven't had an AMD cpu since the Athlon 64, that's a long time ago. Curious to see how this Flex 5 with Ryzen 7 7730u will do.
You could screen record for sure with this i7-12700h. If you wanted to capture card a 4K camera I would recommend having a dedicated GPU. Which this does not.
Such an awesome laptop!! would be a very very apt tool for many creative professional! the wide screen is a problem though..., especially when there are not many backpacks available to fit that width...
On top of that you have to settle for integrated graphics. Limited video editing power and poor battery life. So it's limited to specific use cases. I wonder if you can turn off the extra screen to help save battery though?
@@rogat174 Completely different functionality and usage scenarios. The Zephyrus/Zenbook Duo additional screens serve primarily as toolbars/notification bars. Their location and form factor does not make them useful for drawing and doodling. This one, on the other hand, does...

I am also trying to find an answer to that question. Have watched several videos. Annoying no one can you say it straight out.
Your enthusiasm for the products reviewed has always been infectious! Thank you for this. Looking forward to your full review.
Thanks, I really appreciate your compliment!
Would be awesome if they had a left handed version :D
Seriously they just removed a lot of the creative user base as buyers
Agree. Left-handers are in this moment less included minority :(.
Where to buy that’s isn’t sold out
I almost got this but I am left handed and the right side pad wouldn't really work.
Ah man! A lot of people have been saying that!
That does seem cool. I'm thinking about the left handed writers/artist's. Wonder if Lenovo offers a goofy-foot version?
Yes, I need to look into this. A lot of people have been saying this too

Hey ben, love your videos, if you could get an upside view camera that'd be great to show the products better
What do you mean by "upside"?
it is close to 100k can't wait!!
SOOO CLOSE!

Hi Ben, Would you recommend GPD win max 2 for photo and video editing? I would like to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

Looking forward to the test! The mic seems to drop the audio in between. Is that a fluke, or does this occur all the time?
man that laptop is so dope, great review btw
Does it has GPU for gaming?
No, it would not be good for gaming as it does not have GPU
Great review Ben,
Does it have thunderbolt 4 ?
Can we game on it ?
Intel CPU, so yes. :)
Awesome! Very interesting laptop! Seems like Lenovo have many unique laptop this year lol…especially Lenovo yoga book 9i
Lenovo is throwing HAMMERS these past two years!

My editor uses the Acer Triton 500 SE for my 6k video edits and she loves it.
Personally I like the build quality a lot. I think it’s a solid choice!

Can Intel 12700h or AMD 6850U record desktop into video with OBS at 3k or 4k atleast 30 fps. Or would i need AMD 6800s or nVidia 3070 for that?

I'm honestly already sold on 2 in 1's, but I'd try this out if it was left-handed
Interesting but does the large size make sense for a portable device?
Since it is not a TALL screen it fits nicely in bags and under my arm on the go.
I can see online instructors utilizing the 2nd screen for their teaching.

Yeah, it’s a TALL (when placed in backpack). Ill check it back pack fit in my full review.
Incredible form factor but it doesn't seem to be very mobile because of how outrageously wide it is...my opinion though.
thanks ben for the video.
Guess Lenovo isn't thinking a lot in us left-handed people 🤣
That’s the downside :-/
I was so excited about this until you started talking about the battery life and then it hit me, oh yeah, two screens probably equals no battery T_T

Bro is the laptop version of rhe amazing spiderman
You indeed treat the laptop like you haven’t paid for it..
This extra display in a 4090 GamingLaptop🙂
That would be epic!
You might want to check out the rog zephyrus duo 16, or the zenbook pro duo 15, both have a dedicated gpu and a second touch screen display.

That looks so cool 🤩🤩
It’s so practical for artists, designers, and photographers.
2kg is kinda heavy....
👍👍👍
I'm left handed fml
First viewer from India.
Always excellent content. Keep it up sir.
Thanks for watching!
@@BenGKaiser most welcome
Instant buy for me (sigh) ... Left handed so in the bin it goes. :)
Ah rats! Sorry about that
Can I also get a laptop, I'm from India
But I'm a lefty 😂
rip lefties
Sad indeed
hy. ben how are you doing? take care of your health too.
Do well, thanks! You too sir
More like a drawbook or readbook
Clever!
I don't know, but I think it's ugly AF!
Interesting.
As someone who love everything to be symmetrical, it's a design nightmare for me....:)
No AMD cpu = no purchase
Sorry for your loss 😜
No left handed version ? 🤣😅 Or is that too much to ask for 🫣
I’ll check with Lenovo
