TBH, to me, I never understood the entire fate series. The storyline was as scattered and confusing to me as claymore was..... Still is. IDK if I'm watching it in a wrong sequence
The problem is Fates never been properly adapted, the original light novel was divided into 3 routes retelling the same story to begin with but branching when different events happen so you don't get the full story from just one route, the original studio Deen anime tried to do the first route while adding information from the other routes but it didn't really work, and Ufotable who's adaptations everyone like has only done Unimited blade works which is the second route and there doing movies for the third which aren't all out yet. So as it stands the only way yo get the full to get the full fate stay night story properly is the light novel which doesn't have an official English translation. Everything fate that isn't unlimited blade works, the heavens feel movies, the original Deen adaptation and fate zero are spin offs in alternate universes so don't necessarily link. That's why the fate anime seems like a convoluted mess.
@@ExtraXBanana lol did you forget that the visual novel exists and is very much available in English? Other than that just watch Fate/Zero, UBW remake and Heaven's Feel movies. There's really nothing in the Fate route that makes the other 2 incomprehensible without it.
