Utawarerumono Is one of those shows I go back and watch every now and then because I love it so much...admittedly I tend to ignore the weird "it was secretly the future all along" plot line but the rest I adore.
Karura was my favorite character as soon as she appeared on the episode with the ship crash, killing those men, dueling Benawi, and getting her giant "sword" slashing the bolder in half! Even after watching the 2 following animes with new characters and the ending, I still consider Karura as my favorite, lol.

That's the whole point of this season (and the entire second game actually). The story starts progressing towards the end of the game, so I would assume it would be the same for the anime. The story then gets to the real meat of it in the third game, or third season in this case.
@@kswtman the new anime is based on the second game of the triology. The second game is lighter bc it is basicly preparation for the third game where shit goes Down and it gets realy serious. Part 2 also had some massacres but part 3 is darker
I watched the anime solely due to this music video, and honestly, I can only recommend doing it this way. It´s an awesome anime, and the action-based music video meant I was pleasantly surprised by some of the deeper themes of the anime.

I remember years ago I saw an amv about his anime and thinking I wanted to watch it but the amv didn't have the name of the anime in it so I had to find the anime by googling anime with what I saw in the amv for a week until a found it

i only read the LN and yeah it was pretty confusing at the end in that too. but from what i get is the main char is a lesser or a part of the great demon of which all his friend must kill demon in order to get peace through out the land but killing the demon also kill him since he is part of the demon. :T lame ending... but hey they have babies 8D
yes, it is a good anime, with a interesting back story as to why they all have tails etc, its not like "all people where porn half animal" all people in the anime are not kinda human but without spoiling the anime, theres a reason

Speaking of "Nekos," they are specifically ONLY FEMALES (with cat ears, tails, and, in some cases, other cat-like features, including behavior). The majority of different humanoids in this 26 episode anime most humanoids do have cat-like ears and tails. However, depending on their race/type, they are slightly different, AND this also includes MALES, not ONLY females. Therefore, "Nekos" are not a type of race in this anime. There are also some other humanoids or races that are in the first 26 episode anime, with other interesting physical features. But I do not want to spoil anything else. If you or anyone who loves anime hasn't watched this, they should try. This has a mix of not just action and war, but also some comedy, a tiny bit of romance, and a surprising storyline.
