Fun reaction. I think anyone listening to this would love to buy Babymetal all the chocolate they could want! Nice job, thanks!

They go hard live, some of the most energetic live music shows you can imagine.

Nice reaction🦊BABYMETAL is a "metal dance unit" that combines J-POP(Japanese pop) and metal.
    Also called Kawaii (cute) Metal.💕

Welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊 BABYMETAL are a Japanese band formed in 2010, there were 3 original members (they were only 12 and 11 years old at that time) and we have watched them grow up and become one of the very best live acts on the planet.
This performance was filmed at their Legend 1997 concert in December 2013 celebrating lead vocalist Su-metal's 16th birthday (they have dubbed the studio audio over the live performance - shame as they are so much better live). The other two girls were both 14. None of them are related, but they are as close as sisters.
BABYMETAL are Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and Momometal (in charge of backing vocals, harmonies and mainly hyping and involving the crowd with their choreo).
The original third member Yuimetal last performed in October 2017 and was absent for 12 months for undisclosed health reasons until she announced she was still not fully recovered and would be leaving the band.
Su and Moa continued as a duo for 4-5 years supported by 3 dancers who would take turns in the third spot. From about March 2020 only one of those dancers remained and finally that dancer - now known as Momometal - was revealed as the new official third member (and finally got a microphone) on 1st April 2023.
They are supported in all live shows by the Kami Band (long story, I'll try to keep it short - there are effectively two Kami Bands - East and West). East Kamis are the best Japanese session musicians you could hope to find and supported BABYMETAL since 2012 (they were phased in gradually over about 18 months playing a couple of festivals and the encores in some shows and became the full time support from March 2014) until their last appearance (to date) in January 2023.
West Kamis are American musicians who first appeared in 2019 to play initially in the lengthier foreign tours and they have been ever present since April 2023.
You did not see the Kami Band in this - Legend 1997 was the last show where they played only the encores (they came on for the last 5 songs). The guys in skeleton suits known as Babybones were a fake band miming the instruments which were pre-recorded - the vocals would have been live.
BABYMETAL are like nothing you will have seen or heard before, they brought a fusion of great metal instrumentals coupled with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics to create their very own sub-genre (Kawaii Metal - kawaii meaning cute or adorable) ... and they have continued to develop and evolve from those beginnings.
They don't limit themselves to any one main style or genre and you won't be able to pigeonhole or put them in any one box like you can with virtually every other band in the world. They are one of a kind and they invented their own genre and style that nobody has been able to copy successfully (some have tried, none came close) including bringing choreographed dancing to metal (but not as you might know it from pop acts where it is nearly always used just to fill the stage or give you almost naked girls (and boys) to look at to take your mind off often bland music).
BABYMETAL's choreo helps with interpreting the song - a lyric or the meaning etc, but it is designed to involve and lead the crowd, to give them their cues when to jump, shout, pump their fists, chant and so on. BABYMETAL are complete masters of crowd control and crowd involvement.
They have nearly 70 songs now, every one of them is different from the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but will mix in other musical styles and genres with the metal, often when you least expect it. Some songs lean towards their pop roots others are just good hard metal and they do everything in between - so if you don't like one song no problem - try another, the chances are you'll love it.
This was the video that went viral early in 2014 and got them a lot of attention before they started touring the world.
They have gone on to become Japan's biggest musical export and one of the very best live performance acts on the planet.
That energy - they never let up on that for every song in every concert, they never give less than 100% as they know people have paid a lot of money and travelled a long way (often from different countries) to see them and they appreciate their fans.
'Gimme Chocolate' is one of their fun songs. They just want chocolate but are a bit worried about their weight - but chocolate! It would be so nice, they would be so happy, they worked hard. Can they just have a piece of chocolate please?🍫🍫🍫
They do have deeper songs - try 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (Bullying, No More, Forever) live at Sonisphere 2014 - their first time in the UK, their first major event and metal festival outside of Japan. Aged 16 and 15 and with over 50,000 UK metalheads who don't understand any Japanese to impress. IDZ was the last song of the 5 they played that day - you will hear what the crowd thought at the end.

Haha nice one, and welcome to Babymetal! This song perfectly embodies 3 cutsie ladies begging for chocolate, then getting hangry when you don’t give them the chocolate 😂.
This show was Dec 2013, for lead Su-metal’s 16th birthday. The other 2 gals were 14. None of them are related.
I hope you check out more Babymetal, these monster ladies are 14-year veterans of the music industry, and are absolutely crushing it. I’m seeing them live this Friday in the US.
    🤘🦊

I see Grington has already given you his wall of text about the song and the band, so with that I won't add more to it, as to not overload you with info too early. For your next reaction to them, I would second either of the songs that IAMisLove has suggested.
