1440p, modded, Ultra settings + RT on a graphically demanding game and the game is still very playable on the rtx 4060. I dont get why so many people shit on this gpu
same, they probably hate it because they put 12gb on a 3060 but only 8gb on the newer 4060, but besides vram and memory bus this card is actually very good, it also supports the new technologies which will only become better and better with time
im actually building a pc very similar to yours, pretty much same just different variants of the same components, i was hesitating between 3060 and 4060, but the 3060 only barely surpassed 4060 in a couple of games that are very demanding in terms of vram and on 1440. As for 1080p gaming, 4060 always beats 3060 in both raw performance and dlss. My msi ventux 4060 is being delivered to me as we speak. Can you do a video on Starfield?
The reason why it takes flak, its because this GPU is grossly underspec'd for its overblown price (by after market resale)with only a 128-bit memory bus, AMD has a ton of other options, that even do ray tracing somewhat better than the 4060 or a 4070. At just about the same price. People that resale the 4060 don't understand how important the memory bus on a GPU is. They are base their price based on branding.
@@Red-ss5lv thats completely true, but in some cases the 4060 can be a reasonable choice, for example in some places like mine, buying this stuff used is sometimes more expensive then getting it new because people dont do much researches and usually get scammed, so when the used market isnt an option, buying a pre build is the best and most affordable choice for me

Hey do you just have dreampunk? I have a 4060 laptop and well my performance is usually in the low 30s without frame gen. it's great for just cruising around but in fights it gets to 25 which i kinda consider unplayable
well dreampunk comes with its own reshade preset, so i have reshade enabled as well which reduces fps by like 2-3, you can also try to decrease some of the settings as shown in the video, for example texture quality since its the most vram intensive, then also try dlss to balanced instead of quality
Im still new to using my pc at its best potential and i mainly play cyberpunk on it, My specs are - AMD Ryzen 5800X, AMD 7700XT, 32gb Ram and 2tb Samsung SSD's. i got no true idea if my pc can handle this! This was really a cool vid to watch and opened my eyes to how cool cyberpunk can really look!
it definitely can and it will do a better job from what you see in the video. If you want to try it the mod name is dreampunk 2.1, you can find free versions of this on google, and also the car mods you can install from nexus mods website, i recommend you to search and watch a short tutorial about modding cyberpunk because you’ll have it easier
There are some mods that work really well and are designed specifically for raster performance. So even if your 7700XT struggles a little in the Ray Tracing department, you can still get some very effective 'Realistic' looking visuals using just raster.... Which the 7700XT excels at.
the rx 7600xt is like 10-15% faster than the rtx 4060, but thats only if you're not using any ray tracing. If you use ray tracing i dont think its even gonna be playable
it does have 8gb more which helps in most of the games but still the amd gpus are not good when it comes to ray tracing, if you play without ray tracing then the 7600xt will be better for sure
The main mod used is dreampunk 2.1, it is a paid mod but if you do some research you could be able to find it pirated, and then there are the car mods which are not that complicated but u just have to install a ton of random mods and scripts for them to work
you need to have the nvidia app, at the system tab you can see an option called automatic tuning, it takes a few minutes to complete on itself and it pushes your gpu in higher clocks until it reaches max clock speeds but being super stable at the same time. In msi afterburner it shows as a curve because it only pushes the gpu to max clock speeds when it needs to
u have the same setup as mine, but I have a 4060 Ti with 16 GB and 32 RAM (I didn't see how much you have). And I have a question. why didn't you turn on frame generation? my pc gives out in a simple cyberpunk with RTX and path tracing on full settings 90 fps but on 1080p (i I plan to buy a 2K monitor) and another question is how much my PC would give out with such settings as I said, but in 2k? p.s. there may be errors in the text, because I am from Ukraine😅
so i have 32 gb or ram too, but the 4060ti 16gb is considerably faster than the non ti variant that i have, without mods and at maximum settings 2k you would get around 30 fps without dlss, and around 40-50 with dlss. If you enable frame generation you would be above 60, possibly even 70 fps at times. The reason why i didnt use frame gen is firstly it looks too blurry when using this graphics mod, but still in my case it gives less fps compared to not using it because it uses more vram. So as you can see in the video, i turned texture quality to medium because vram usage was maxed out, then if i enabled frame gen it would use even more vram and the game would become unplayable and also look worse. Since you have 16gb of vram you would be fine using it but in cost of some blurriness you get from it. You can also use the mod im using because it only impacts performance by about 10% max

try restarting the game when you apply new settings and also if the gpu is running out of vram lower texture quality or try to mess with other settings like dlss. Your cpu can also cause stuttering since ray tracing is cpu demanding too, or you 16gb or less ram
@ ahh ok I have an Alienware m16 r2 rtx 4070 ultra core 7 and 16gb of ram will try the restarting method. I can get it to run 60fps + on ultra + RT but when it gets crazy hectic it starts to stutter it’s not the frames but the latency.

with dlss quality you can expect around 50-60 fps, also if your motherboard supports pcie 4.0 it will have around 5% better fps compared to the video (also around 2 fps more because im recording the gameplay with nvidia shadowplay and not a capture card)

30-40 fps might not be ideal but it sure is playable for a game like cyberpunk, at least in my opinion, just connect a controller and you have a console similar experience, with realistic graphics too
