    You sound like my husband. My husband is a LPCC and LADC, and so he is licensed in numerous states. I just passed my Masters ASWB exam today. 🎉 I plan on being like you. This is a wise move. Great video. ❤

      They do but it requires a different exam than the one I took. I took the Masters Level exam and the Advanced Generalist Exam is what Michigan requires. I’d have to apply for the limited license then go there and work 4,000 hours. After that I can apply to sit for that exam.

    hi. I've been watching your videos a lot. I have my LMSW in NY and I am doing psychotherapy but I want to transition medical social work.
    most importantly I want to be licensed in different states. FL, CT, and TX. what are the exams or test like for these to states bc I can't find it. im only seeing information for people who don't have a license yet.
    thanks

    • @TassyMaee365
      @TassyMaee365  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey babe! So, if you have an LMSW you can apply for a licensed in TX and CT. You will need to follow all of their requirements on their board of social work examiners website (transcripts, ASWB scores, license verification, etc.) In order to be licensed in Florida you will need an LCSW. So the clinical exam and all of the supervision hours. Hope this helps!

    Hi! I am a LSW in IL and seeking to relocate. I am concerned about seeking licensure reciprocity from another state because IL dropped the exam requirement for getting the LSW, so I never took the exam/do not have any ASWB scores. Do you happen to know what happens in a case like mine? Can I still apply to a state like TX for example without my ASWB scores even though I am licensed? Thank you for any help!!

    • @TassyMaee365
      @TassyMaee365  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey friend! Oooo that's tricky, but considering you have to send your score directly from ASWB to TX I don't think they would allow it. I recommend calling the board and asking.

    So I want to look into starting travel sw right after grad school. But i'm in GA and the wait for licensure is about 2-4 months after graduation, would it be possible for me to get opportunities before then? Is it necessary to get licensed in my home state first or could I look into the states that are available at the agencies and apply for licensure there?

    • @TassyMaee365
      @TassyMaee365  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can get licensed where ever you want. As long as you’ve passed the ASWB exam and the state accepts LMSW. There are positions you can get without a license but you’ll need some experience.
      When COVID was popping states were lenient about the license, but now most states want you to come with license in hand.

    • @glamazonbeaute575

      Some agencies will hire you as long as you meet licensure requirements within 12 months, so see if that’s in the job description when you apply.😊

    Hey hey fellow lmsw here. Currently in the process of transitioning out of my current position working outpatient at dialysis facility to the travel life. I have a potential contract with providence in anchorage and am curious about the licensing process with Alaska. Did you get a permanent license or did you get a temp ? Also I see that they require 3 professional references from which is fine, but they want one from a current employer as well which I feel like will cause conflict while I am still working here. Lastly, I would love to connect further and ask some questions if that is possible it would be super appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Hello! Thank you soo much for this video!
    I took and passed my LMSW and would like to be licensed in multiple states as well given that my family is military. I do have a question regarding the clinical hours we have to have for our LCSW. How does that work? Do you simply choose one state to get the hours from? Or are the hours not state specific ? (Not sure if that made sense) but my goal is to be an LCSW after attaining those clinical hours.
    Thank you again for all you do! 💛
