If "Ticking" is the sonic iteration of anxiety, then "Heavy" is its literal counterpart. The brutally cacophonous sound communicates how it feels to be paralysed by anxiety, pairing intrusive thoughts, panic and intensity with that anxiety inducing build. Heavily inspired by early Bauhaus records and PJ Harvey’s Is This Desire? it draws influence from 80s gothic - the purposeful space and emptiness reflecting the isolating nature of panic. "Heavy" is taken from SPRINTS’ new album 'Letter To Self', out now on City Slang. Listen/Buy: sprints.lnk.to/LetterToSelfYD
@GuiltyNoticer for me, I find radio music is about 98-99% forcefed garbage for mass consumption and more about image. But, there has always been, still being, and will be, good music being created by many barely heard bands and musicians. Those bands, in my opinion, make music that is made by the passion of an artist. They don't create for fame, they create for their art is their flame. Anyway, dude, so much good music over the years. Not saying all radio music was bad, but it's not the same these days.
I'm not sure if this band is trying to bring back grunge but I actually like it. Anytime the guitar is being played fast and hard I'm down. Add some flying vs in and stuff. Flying vs are super flashy and they just look really cool.

I'm watching this video for the first time after listening the full album and this band is going to be one of the best of 2024, mark my fucking words.
It's catchy, right enough. But nothing new: cribbing alot of other stuff from recent and also way back. Image not great either.
I think your right this band is doing bigggg things album of the year EASY 🙌
I am marking your words, with blind confidence 👍
I can’t stop listening to it.
I'm 47, at an age where I thought that music had died, nothing new worth listening too, than bang, along come the Sprints!
Are you going to see IDLES? ;)
I'm 52 and been excited! So good!
when we say nothing new worthy we mean popular music. after 2001 all you can listen to are either metal or rock.

There’s tons of good stuff nowadays! You just gotta dig a bit :)
The opening sounds like Dark Entries. Brilliant.
Album of the year right here
After a several year lull of liking a lot of stuff but not really loving anything, it’s so nice to be obsessed with a record again.
This is the best album I've heard in years. Love it. ❤
Heaviness has boundaries, the spiritual boundary of heaviness is focus.
Absolutely amazing!!
Love from Germany
As usual I’m slow to cool new music and their upcoming gigs in Glasgow, Belfast and Birmingham are sold out. Good luck lads and have a blast.
Super pumped for Friday! All the singles have been total stompers!
can’t wait to go see them
Dark Entries!
Definitely a heavy Bauhaus influence to the bass line, but that's a good thing!
Dropped out of SxSw 2024, bad ass move!
Banger! On my Week 1 playlist of the best releases of the week!

What if the person with photosensitive epilepsy also has difficulty with sight? Bizarre to make the warning font so small.
