Very useful!!! I fixed two fans on SystemAir SAVE VTR 150. Couldn't find exact SKF bearing model to buy (most likely they changed numbering), but easy available alternative was 608-2RSH. Bearing extractor tool is optional, at least in my case they weren't stuck hard - I used random string to pull it out. A right to repair rules! Thank you very much for this video. Saved me at least 50€ and burden of waiting. I'm not too experienced, so really possible for average person.
Thank you! My unit started to make lots of noise after 3 years of use, nobody (even manufacturer) said something could be done except replacing the fans (>500EUR), now it cost me 8EUR in bearings (and 20EUR for the tool to extract them properly). Bearings used: 608zz. Quite so far, hopefully it stays that way.
Thank you, replacement motor is really expensive and this was quite an easy fix. But what causes the bearing to lock up? There was some dirt inside of it, while the seal looked good. My system is only 5 years old and usually is set to the lowest setting. Just to confirm the other posts: FKS 608-2RSH is an exact replacement. Only cost me 16 Euro's for 1 motor instead of 360 to replace it. My system is a ComAir HRUC-e3
it looks that 3 bearings were removed, but only 2 went back in... video did not show installation of the bearing that '3 leg pull tool' was used for removal...
Hello. I have a MAICO ws 170 device. I installed it in 2013, the device has the same fans as in your video. After five years in 2018 the bearings became loud and after replacing the fans they did not work normally, they were spinning but with reduced power. Then I bought new original fans and connected them, which worked normally. Now the bearings were loud again, they wore out again, and today I replaced them again myself, the same thing happened as when I first replaced them five years ago. Please advise what I did wrong?
Hi , very nice video do you have any experience with EBM fan RG128/1300 ? Bearing on this motor is very noisy .I dont know how I can remove the fan wheel , no screw , no ring ... I dare not just pull the plastic wheel
The washers are springs and should not need changing unless they are either completely corroded or lost their, well, springiness:) The only real reason that they should lose their function would be if everything got insanely hot, like cherry red hot - but if the bearings were that seized and that amount of friction was generated then you would have other problems. I think your house would have burned down long before you would had have to worry about replacing the bearings if it got that hot :D
Hi I have k3g 190 rc05-10 motor fan. I want to change ball bearings. In video the distance makes difficult to se all. Did you changed 3 ball bearings? What is the name of other tool that has 3 arms? Need dimensions of bearings. Can you make a new video with less distance? Thanks in advance
Insanely many errors on Systemair home ventilation. The normal lifespan of ventilation units is 15-20 years. My SAVE 300 VTR from 2017 has had the rotor motor changed twice, both fans have been changed and today I have a faulty circuit board. Will never buy Systemair products again.
Ty man, the company only offered me a 400€ total replacement while at the end i spent only 10€ in ball bearings 🤣

The SKF bearing model is in fact "SKF 608-2RSH". It should be in the description!
Great video! Does anyone know what is the part number for the starlock washer?

Could someone tell me, what kind of 2 rings the videomaker replaced beneath the 2nd bearer? Thanks in advance
This just saved me €300, very usefull tip! Thanks!
Thanks for the video! Really cheap and easy way to fix a fan instead of expensive service, managed to do on my VTC 200

The black and white part of the video only shows how to remove the bearing if it stays on the pin. There are only two bearings
@@AchazZuberleOh ok. So there is no need to replace those washers?

For me it is fine until second 46. The inside unit is completely stuck inside the outer unit. I cannot even get it out for 3mm
I have the same problem. Seems to be completely stuck inside. Did you find a solution for it in the meantime?

Any luck on replacing your bearings? I have the same fan.
SystemAir SAVE VTR 150 has identical fan as shown in video. 2 bearings. SKF 608-2RSH or old SKF BB1-0831 (dimensions identical)

why are these so bloody complicated? All we need is a simple fan that works quietly?!
